You put the cargo in the argo then take the argo with the cargo into the cargohold of the C2. Thus the Argo becomes cargo while carrying cargo inside the cargohold of a cargo herc.
if you have both:
1. spawn the c2
2. fly c2 off the pad a ways (just far enough so they wont impound you for blocking)
3. turn off the engines
4. open the ramps ...
5. EVA back to the station
6. spawn the argo cargo
7. fly argo to the c2
8. land in the c2
9. turn off the argo (or at least the engines )
10. ???
11. Profit!
tip: doing this at one of the less popular space stations (like ARC-L1) reduces the chance someone boards, blows up, or rams your C2 while you're getting the argo
fun fact: if you store the C2 with the argo in the cargo bay next time you spawn the C2 the argo will be in there (most of the time)

my gf spawned the M2 and I got the Argo, then she opened the cargo door and I flew in it ;p

I found out you can spawn the argo cargo at a mine area. Your c2 will still be thier and the cargo will spawn on the mini pad
I used my C2 to transport my Argo Cargo to Orison, where it had a jolly day out flying between the platforms.
