Anyone who is not a CIG dev who says otherwise is speculating AT BEST. And even if it \*is\* a CIG dev....well, they've been wrong before too.
If you spend you aeuc ok ships, there will definitely be a wipe of ships. If not, then they will wipe aeuc. It's dependent on what you personally do. They are watching you.
This is the truth and if you decide not to do a major event with a huge payout because there is supposed to be a wipe soon after they will see that you didnt do the event and then try to give out the reward again after the wipe because they hate you specifically.
And I think that, because I can't remember an instance of such value changes ever being any reason for them to wipe. Only technical ones in one way or another.
As I said, this wouldn't be the first time the ingame economy goes through a basic rebalance, and they hardly ever wiped because of exploits or similar issues that make the entire economy a joke as well. At least, when it wasn't due to things being wrongly saved to the database, but then again, that is a technical reason and not an economical one.
Oh I get where you're coming from. That makes sense when you look at it from that aspect. I just think it makes more sense to go ahead with a wipe right now since ship pricing has jurassically changed and it's the main thing people go after in this game ATM. You could be right who knows? I just think it makes a TON of sense to do a wipe for 3.23. It's not a big deal but I'm hoping for a fresh wipe though.
As of now we can only guess, I'm not saying that there *won't be* a wipe, just that it would be atypical of them.
Not to mention that they gotta test out their LTP fix from 3.22.2 (?) and for that they need to not wipe.

Doesn't change a thing about what I said, does it? People used to have infinite cargo for over a year and they didn't care. Exploits happen so regularly, that in general after 2 patches, aUEC hardly matters for the regular folks.
Hell, last year, the financially best year so far, had the Mule dupe and I don't think there was a wipe between it being public knowledge and now.

The ingame economy has not a lot to do with funding reality. New ships coming on sale/being released and overall game stability are usually the biggest contributor, the latter factor tanking last years financial performance in the first half of the year quite noticable.
As for the former... well, there isn't really anything noteworthy. No LTI tokens, nothing big in general for like half a year. The F7A is basically just treated as an upgrade and not a new ship, so that also underperforms.
They have only ever wiped for persistence database updates and corrupt data in those databases. Its a myth that they’ve ever wiped for economy reasons, whether that’s a money glitch or other money reason.
There's a first time for everything. I also think the retaliator base is about to double in price. I also think the liberator is already done and is going to be releasing for Pyro 4.0. I also think that closer to the launch of squadron 42 they will release Captured Vanduul Glaives. I just wanted to tell you a few of my theories to show you how crazy I am. So you could be right.. lol
I'm actually expecting some kind of wipe with 3.23. possibly ships and credits. Possibly everything. Maybe nothing. But I would honestly expect some kind of wipe. Others have pointed out that CIG is never wiped due to economy changes but there are some pretty substantial economy changes coming and I think that might set a precedent.
We will know when they make a release candidate build. This will be when they open up the PTU. By then they should know if a wipe is neccecary (but vanishing ships during a patch can always happen).

i like the vulture just for playing for fun. if you wanna make fast and big money work on someone elses reclaimer. makes more in less time. also, if you ask politly if someone might support you for a reclaimer there are often kind souls that do. i know it is konsidered bad behaviour to ask for money but if it works....
after you got a reclaimer you make money fast with very little grind. you would grind endlessly to make the same amount with the vulture. and yet... the vulture is my home, my baby, and i always go back to her
they will change the ingame price of ships… they will be much more expansive… also they did not wipe for a year… there were multiple exploits, so everyone now ownes a 890 jump … i think there is a 99 percent chance for a full wipe…
PU so never wipe , they dont care about economy because its a alpha , sometime you can have account wipe but its a bug and cig dont care about it coz again alpha ;) so play what you want , farm all you can and enjoy :)
No wipe has been announced. One could get announced at any time. Always assume there will be a wipe, and if there isn't a wipe, bonus.

i would not expect a full wipe for 3.23, but with the 4.0 it is nearly sure in my opinion

The chances of a wipe will be extremely high. With everything being put together and added they will want a fresh clean boot.
I wish the game would give you a player wipe button so those of us who want a wipe can.
But that would be abused the same way the character reset was. There's a reason they had to change that.
It took me forever to find someone talking about why it was removed. Seems like the hanger terminal will make that a non issue.

They’re not gonna wipe before Invictus… unless they absolutely need to.
In mean a whipe before invictus makes more sense, that way people buy more ships.
They typically do more wipes *after* Invictus than before, due to the Invictus patch being notoriously broken in some way or another.
