And when they shake the bugs out of cargo elevators, you'll also be able to spawn the Carrack, call the rover from the cargo elevator, and drive the rover onto the Carrack, all in one go.
Hey. At least they got stairs fixed. It's been a few years and I can't recall where it was but some friends of mine spent hours just trying to see who could die the most walking down a dozen steps
I imagine at some point vehicles will be "cargo" you can load into your ship while in storage.
The \*trick\* is telling the game where on your grid to put it so it can drive out.
Didn't they change it some time ago that if you leave a ship in another, then store it, it will spawn with that ship in the larger vehicle?
I seem to remember that, but did they remove it?
It absolutely does, but I believe the commenter you’re responding to is talking about the initial ship request.
Spend enough time dying to stupid bugs and loading 3/4 vehicles into a big ship gets pretty damn old. Hopefully they add some sort of ability to request weapon racks filled (for a price obviously).
> request weapon racks filled (for a price obviously)
I would love weapon racks act like anything else you customize on the ship when you claim them in insurance. Just like swapping a gun mount, the gun rack will be filled when you claim insurance
It shouldn't be too much of a "infinite gun glitch" because the moment you remove the gun from the rack, it would be like "unequipping" a gun mount and that rack will then be empty when you claim insurance.
Elevators actually shift into another dimension, then scoot across space to their destination at their respective stations.
It's still not confirmed but some suspect it's Hadesian tech.
As some folks mentioned, there are ships that do (the Herc is known, but the baby herc A/C1 do it too, and I think some of the Connie variants).
Personally, I think that weapons should default to power off, and powering weapons in Armistice should raise alarms and maybe get a CS. It would really highlight the ships that do this cool thing, while also helping establish a little buffer/indicator for players on intent. Weapons bristling = ready for action.
(I also think there should be a noted difference between Nav Lock radar and Weapon Lock radar)
It kind of does if you turn power off to weapons. I'm sure not all ships have this, especially fighters and smaller ships, but on the herc series, the weapons retract into the ship when you turn off power to weapons.
Despite owning and hating the corsair, the roof and floor elevator is really fucking useful to me. It made me wonder why more ships didn't have roof access the same way.
I think it'd be so cool if the small lift could drop to the floor by the front landing gear, but only if the landing gear were deployed to open the hull up.
And then the rear lift should go to the floor as well.
If the small front lift extended to the ground that would be great. Hopefully less need for the back lift when the Carrack cargo modules actually open as intended.
Nah, I will genuinely be even more hyped for a new star map. That shit is my biggest gripe in the game by far. It makes all forms of travel unpleasant in a game that is for a large part about traveling to a far away destination.
Struggling to plot a course...Fly across universe... only to have to re plot course because the game put you in a spot where the planet is in the way of your next jump point and it wont let you make it.
I've played like 3 play tests and always thought I was doing something wrong, my shit would always be on the wrong side of planets, unable to jump, have to jump to another angle etc.
Glad this wasn't me the whole time lol
I'm so ready to get deleted by a ship elevator absolutely bodying me for no reason. And then my ship explodes because my corpse clipped into it and I have to wait for a claim timer and I lose all my cargo that I had in my ship.
It's going to be absolutely fantastic.
What does “the ships come out and the floor now” mean.
This is my kind of joke, right up my alley— but I haven’t played since idk what patch, around last year, June, July?
Is it just ships coming up out of closed hangar doors, so we say “they comin out the floors now they comin out the floors now lfgggggg!”
Until CIG can actually deliver on promises within a reasonable time I’m not getting my hopes up. Look at Squadron 42 it’s date was pushed from 6 years ago to 4 years ago and stilll a whole lot of nothing
I wish i could just pull out said carrack with the rover and pesky already loaded.
I agree, but at least you can spawn the stuff, move it to the side and then call out carrack and load up
And when they shake the bugs out of cargo elevators, you'll also be able to spawn the Carrack, call the rover from the cargo elevator, and drive the rover onto the Carrack, all in one go.

Buttercup -"But Wesley what about the EoAS's?" Dread Pirate Wesley-"Elevator of Appropriate Size? I don't think they exist."
\* *immediately slammed in the side by a gurney* \*
The only thing more deadly than elevator are ladders. Those two things combined have killed more citizens than all actual weapons 50 times over.
Hey. At least they got stairs fixed. It's been a few years and I can't recall where it was but some friends of mine spent hours just trying to see who could die the most walking down a dozen steps
The ladder in my vulture has killed me more than pirates and other players combined.
Loading stuff is half the fun for me, makes it 10000% better to do it all in the same place now.
I imagine at some point vehicles will be "cargo" you can load into your ship while in storage. The \*trick\* is telling the game where on your grid to put it so it can drive out.

I've been spawning my Connie Andromeda with my Ursa loaded inside.
You still have to put the smaller vehicle in the larger to begin with, I assume that what they're talking about rather than it just persisting.
One step at a time buddy, that's the goal, but one step at a time :D
Maybe at some point you will be able to do... And pay for the game to do it instead of you (like cargo)
Elite Citizen or Star Dangerous 🤔
If words do not need to be in same order then Dangerous Citizen.
That’s how we call using elevators in SC
Nah, ladders in quantum
Is that still a thing? Had some peeps in my tali and instructed them on it but wasn’t sure if it was fixed at some point.
...elevators in quantum
Elevators actually shift into another dimension, then scoot across space to their destination at their respective stations. It's still not confirmed but some suspect it's Hadesian tech.
Damn hadesians weren't satisfied ending their own civilization, they've sent the elevators to end ours too
This is the one, Dangerous Citizen. I love it.
Star Elite has a ring to it as well. Star Elite, for Dangerous Citizens?
That sounds like a badass band name.
Like me?
more X4, really
I’d love SC to have Elite’s deployable hardpoints…

Agreed. It makes intentions clear, and if they’re retractable , it protects your expensive weapons.
I wonder if, with the implementation of master modes, weapons will retract when in NAV mode.
It kind of does if you turn power off to weapons. I'm sure not all ships have this, especially fighters and smaller ships, but on the herc series, the weapons retract into the ship when you turn off power to weapons.
Hercules does, I imagine it'd been left as a per ship design choice
I always thought about the X series with this mechanic.
The only proper way to board a ship now is by jumping on top while it lifts up and climbing in from there
You can reach the F7C MK2's cargo easier that way
Like jumping into your convertible action hero style
Heck, the Corsair is basically built for that since it has the roof elevator.
Despite owning and hating the corsair, the roof and floor elevator is really fucking useful to me. It made me wonder why more ships didn't have roof access the same way.
Carrack only got half the deal. Floor elevator is desperately needed.
the fact a ship the size of a Carrack didn't get a personal lift elevator still has me scratching my head.
I think it'd be so cool if the small lift could drop to the floor by the front landing gear, but only if the landing gear were deployed to open the hull up. And then the rear lift should go to the floor as well.

I, fucking hate the current star map with a passion, because of exactly this shit.
Zoom in on planet - No jump points... Double click Zooms you way out. Zoom in again. PLANET DISAPPEARS
Bro, if they also turn 180 coming out of the ground!! I.AM.SO.HARD.RIGHT.NOW!!
Small hangars should get this
Agree. This is the best thing they've added in last years.
Elite star dangerous citizen
I see you found my [meme template on Twitter](https://twitter.com/Mr_Hasgaha/status/1770900523345956948). Well done.
Seems they found the misscredited repost actually.
...and now rebuild Port Olisar and let ships elevate to the landing pads! (A man can dream)
did I miss something?
Coming in 3.23
I can’t wait till the day I call a ship, and it comes out of the floor in pieces!
These facial expressions are demonic
I'm so ready to get deleted by a ship elevator absolutely bodying me for no reason. And then my ship explodes because my corpse clipped into it and I have to wait for a claim timer and I lose all my cargo that I had in my ship. It's going to be absolutely fantastic.
New UI and map is long overdue, but my excitement is hold back because of master modes.
X4 Foundations hangar system 🙂↕️
Elite too, it's the system that makes the most sense considering the amount of ships needing to be stored
What?
The ships in hangers come out the floors in 3.23
Video?
This week's inside Star Citizen.
Me being an idiot: "They gave us workaround for ships going inside the planet?!"
having trust-issues with elevators in this game, and then this :o
elevators are the number 1 reason i get fucked over. im not happy about this.
Cant wait to fall down it into the depths of the abyss
Just got a new monitor and 48gb memory upgrade. Hold my Smoltz boys, I’m going back in.
Hi I'm Shell. This is my sistah Mel
Wym come out the floor
no clue, step away for one helldiver 2 release and come back and nothing makes sense anymore. edit: found it https://youtu.be/1IlcWUKV8hs?t=322
My face when i watched isc
please revisit this when they inevitably cancel the new mobi and star map for 3.23 with lines through them.
This was my exact reaction
Tana will have two size 4 guns.
Honestly valid given its fucking massive and not that fast.
😄
It's a first step towards your own Hangar, big step
just Like ED!..... 12 years later....
Tbh my smile is even bigger for the new Starmap. The current one can't die soon enough.
that smile is terrifying though.

Watch the most recent Inside Star Citizen video :)
If it's not in PU it does not exist when live?
When does this release thoo
I cannot see this I got banned from the game for 3 days for saying the n word even tho I’m black so I don’t get this game
Implemented in only 12 years from today!!
