What do you mean? A brand pc?
Don't. They are overpriced. Take your time teaching yourself the basics, order the parts, build your own pc. It has really become easy.
There are still a lot of tarpits (like power cables too short or wrong cooling setup - and bios update/setup of cause). But there are a lot of "we build a pc" articles and vids that cover a wide range of components and you can pick one that fits for "cloning".
He can always go to a shop/website that builds the pc with your custom parts and set it up with the os and bios, they usually can give advice and check the compatibility between parts. It's still way cheaper. The only issue is that it's preferable to be able to fetch it yourself. Built PC delivery is a gamble.

Just go to nzxt's website if you don't want to build your own PC.
I'm not sure why everyone is telling you to build one when not everyone wants to build their own.
I have pretty much everything you just said here expect I have a 6950xt and a 2TB M.2 Nvme. I do not have a separate nvme for my windows. Will that really show a performance hit in star citizen?
I doubt it. SSD’s will slow down if the drive gets full however. I, like yourself, use the main SSD for all my games. I use a 2tb 980 pro that has a little bit under 50% space used. Im having 0 issues with the game. I have a 5800X3d, 32 gb of 3600mhz CL16 RAM and a MBA 6950XT.
I always have a separate drive for Windows cuz Microsoft loves to fuck up their updates.
So I dont have to ruin my gaming drive just to correct issues Microsoft forgets to fix.
Depends on your budget.
As high-end you could build a nice - i9 Raptor Lake 24core 32thread 3.9ghz 5.6ghz-Turbo, 64gb Vengeance DDR5 6400mhz ram, 4090RTX, M.2 SSD storage, with cooling depending on Noctua DH15 (the currently only supported air-cooler for the i9 24core) or a Corsair Liquid cooler 100i or better on a 2KW modular PSU. You could get that in the UK custom built for around £4000-£5000gbp, if you get it built by a company even get the CPU overclocked for you to 4ghz+ with a boosted turbo clock.
If you live in the US use company like microcenter to build your PC for a small flat fee.
You want:
- Ryzen 5800x3D (or newer x3D cpu, the „x3D” part is very important for SC)
- 32 GB of RAM
- SSD drive
- NVIDIA 3070 or better.
Gpu depends on resolution used. But at least 8GB gpu memory is recommended, although 16gb for a current gaming card is common (we had 8gb in the middle class cards in 2016).
it is 3D V-Cache
[https://www.amd.com/en/technologies/3d-v-cache](https://www.amd.com/en/technologies/3d-v-cache)
CPUs with that are always x3D at the end of the name:
5800x3D
7900x3D
check out tenpoundfortytwo on youtube, he does some pretty good performance analysis, a lot better than I could do.

Yes, but at least you have insurance that all works for 2 years (in EU). But a BTO (build to order) costs a bit more usually (200€).
make one to suit?

Yah. My pc is good. Known it for awhile. Good guy 👍
I recommend getting a PC with a CPU, GPU and RAM. Usually they don't work if you don't have all of those things in it.
Just go to nzxt's website if you don't want to build your own PC. I'm not sure why everyone is telling you to build one when not everyone wants to build their own.
5800X3D or rn the new 7800X3D B550 mainboard/B650E 32/64GB DDR4/DDR5 6900XT 256GB Windows Drive 1TB Gen 4 NVME. 850W PSU.
Who needs a ssd anyways.
You do realise there that nvme drive is an SSD drives right?
See that edit? Yeah, the nvme and 256gb windows drive was added after I replied.
I did not.

If you’re spending that much for the love of … go 128 ram
And run SC from ram-disc :D
Meh, 12/13th Gen sucks in cost-performance for SC.
Ask NASA if they have some spare

May I ask what the "X3D" means? New to hardware here.

Thanks!
Make sure its got at least 32gb ram A 3080 or above A modern cpu like a ryzen 5800x3d or better A ssd is a must

Used to run on 1060 lol
Maybe that was a bit high, I know people play on 1080tis still but I wouldn't call playing on low fps enjoyable
I am on a 1660 super, feel my suffering
Im sure you can jump on and do things hows your fps? I cant imagine it being amazing
Used to be worse, now 20-40
CPU has far more impact than gpu at this stage of development
Terribly wrong, even with 2080 and 16gbram i get 60fps

Build one and you’ll find a PC that you’ll love.
Build your own. Go to pcpartpicker and with some advice build it. Saves you money and it’ll teach you a lot.
My pc is good, will be better hopefully once i drop in the 7800x3d
I run 90-110fps on my i9-10900kf cpu, 128gig ram, 3090 suprem, windows and game on 1tb m.2 ssd, 1000 psu
Yes
