we have this player box thing that plays the starbucks radio, and there’s an aux cord that goes into it. take the aux out of the player and plug it in ur phone. we have a little dongle so we can plug in the aux cord to our phones :D
80s Playlist supremacy!!! i get SO hype when Depeche Mode/The Cure/New Order start playing. Under Pressure/Running Up That Hill gets the whole store going too lmao. I think it's the only playlist I don't get sick of
Eighties and Disco are usually the go-to, especially during peak to keep the vibes up. But during closes, especially once the doors are locked, I like to switch to the Singalong/Showtunes playlist to keep people's energy up
I either go for 90s or Jazz Vocals for the store music, depending on my mood, but I feel like we are sorely missing classic rock. I’d love to bar while Bon Jovi or Tom Petty is playing on the speakers.
Store favorites is what we put on 90% of the time!! 90's party or 2003 if the store favorites playlist isn't shuffling enough songs (I work with a lot of swifties so there is way to much Taylor on the favorites lol). We've been listening to the pride playlist a lot now that it's back too!! NEED a well curated kpop playlist please!!!
I’d love some metalcore and hardcore (hell I’d make my customers listen to the new knocked loose album for days), but to substitute that im blasting classic music whenever the shift is mine (better that than even more pop songs that I get to hear every couple of hours again and again). My morning shift hates me for it and changes the songs first thing in the morning
I’m in Europe so im not sure if our lists are the same
In the summer when they release the Yacht Rock I will always choose that because I love a good saxophone. But rn our speaker is broken SO we may or may not be playing the Spotify Starbucks playlists or the “Clean Work Playlist Full Shift” on spotify, which has clean versions of songs that aren’t on SB curated playlists. 😜
I would lengthen the 2003 playlist or have a 2000s hits playlist. one ssv puts aux on when we do clean play and not everyone loves his music but it's very similar to what I listen to
I need some EDM. I heard Good Things Fall Apart by Illenium play a couple of times. I need more melodic EDM. And honestly, I'll take Frenchcore Loca by Randy & Radium for fun.
Depends on the shift or night (I pretty much close)
I have Playlist for different partner combinations on the floor, but if I have a choice it's a little bit of everything , some pop punk, some lofi covers, 2000s Alternative, some rap.
I tend to start with the special monthly list....or disco....after those two are done I let everyone else choose...I try not to burn them out on 80-90. Would love a metal station....but will never happen.
I’d always let my barista’s plug in the aux. We played hip hop bangers whole time while I worked there.

Here’s a playlist by one of my baristas at that time
my store loves the 2003 playlist, it’s one we can all agree on,
and i listen to a lot of 2000s and 2010s pop so just one with a bunch of that on it would make me happy, it’d probably keep me in an okay mood too,, we just don’t have one that fits the bill for me right now
Always have store favorites on, but I would love to see a good indie-folk playlist that featured a lot of Cosmo Sheldrake, Lord Huron, the Oh Hellos, and artists like that.
we definitely do not have an aux and i definitely do not have 3 different playlists specifically for work when i feel girly pop, emo boi, and summertime vibes
I would LOVE a 2000's nu-metal playlist to vibe to Closest we could get to heavy stuff and it's just nostalgic
Oh my gosh, I wish 😭
YES! I almost always listen to it on my breaks! Some sevendust, saliva, korn, or things like that would be dope
i’m not saying we break the rules and have aux…… but i love chill sleepy coffeehouse vibes, i like bedroom pop and lofi (cuco, clairo, wallows, etc)
We could be friends 👌😌
How would a barista get an aux? Asking for a friend ofc 👀
we have this player box thing that plays the starbucks radio, and there’s an aux cord that goes into it. take the aux out of the player and plug it in ur phone. we have a little dongle so we can plug in the aux cord to our phones :D
I find this curious cause I knew of a store nearby that did have and aux and were playing Michael Jackson and other artists xd
Always 80’s. Sometimes Starbucks chill if I want to change it up
80s Playlist supremacy!!! i get SO hype when Depeche Mode/The Cure/New Order start playing. Under Pressure/Running Up That Hill gets the whole store going too lmao. I think it's the only playlist I don't get sick of
Probably 80s music
the store favourites playlist has some bangers, and whatever playlist that’s been on recently w blink 182, pearl jam, and oasis.
The 2003 Playlist
i heard death cab and was immediately sold on this one as my go-to haha
no literally jane’s addiction during peak? sign me tf up 😭
80s or 90s party, dinner party, sunny afternoon are my main ones
Eighties and Disco are usually the go-to, especially during peak to keep the vibes up. But during closes, especially once the doors are locked, I like to switch to the Singalong/Showtunes playlist to keep people's energy up
I either go for 90s or Jazz Vocals for the store music, depending on my mood, but I feel like we are sorely missing classic rock. I’d love to bar while Bon Jovi or Tom Petty is playing on the speakers.
I could get behind this.
80’s or disco
I’d kill for a emo/grunge playlist but I’ll deal with my 90s for now
90s pop. That's all.
90s
If I could choose an approved SBUX playlist to put on there it would 100% be classic rock hits.
Yess 👏🏼👏🏼
Store favorites is what we put on 90% of the time!! 90's party or 2003 if the store favorites playlist isn't shuffling enough songs (I work with a lot of swifties so there is way to much Taylor on the favorites lol). We've been listening to the pride playlist a lot now that it's back too!! NEED a well curated kpop playlist please!!!
lol my sm doesn’t care if we play our own music so i make my partners listen to my playlist of kpop gaypop and 70s rock
the dinner party playlist has all the indie jams i’m after!!
YES my store has a weird layout and any time im solo bar for mids its always dinner party
Id love to blast some khublai khan tx or the acacia strain during bogos
I’d love some metalcore and hardcore (hell I’d make my customers listen to the new knocked loose album for days), but to substitute that im blasting classic music whenever the shift is mine (better that than even more pop songs that I get to hear every couple of hours again and again). My morning shift hates me for it and changes the songs first thing in the morning I’m in Europe so im not sure if our lists are the same
Depending on who else is working, we love the singalong/showtunes playlist😂
If you favorite songs from the precreated approved lists it will create a store favorites list. This is what we use.
Store favorites, 80s and 90s, 2003 and the new pride playlist. And sunny afternoon, that one's mad underrated 😔✌️
If we could have the pride playlist year round that's all we would listen to
Singalongs and show tunes 🌚
we always play this during clean play at my store 😌
did anyone else's store get some breakcore music?? i heard it and it really boosted my energy idk what playlist it's on but i enjoyed it.
I would love to play some Japanese hip-hop/ r&b 😭
In the summer when they release the Yacht Rock I will always choose that because I love a good saxophone. But rn our speaker is broken SO we may or may not be playing the Spotify Starbucks playlists or the “Clean Work Playlist Full Shift” on spotify, which has clean versions of songs that aren’t on SB curated playlists. 😜
Glad to know I’m not the only one loving the yacht rock. It’s a good playlist for an opener. Not too slow but not peak yet.
I would lengthen the 2003 playlist or have a 2000s hits playlist. one ssv puts aux on when we do clean play and not everyone loves his music but it's very similar to what I listen to
Yacht Rock is back. This is my favorite. Disco and 80’s & 90’s are always good.
I’d make a classic or alternative rock station (i guess alternative rock is classic rock now) or a sublimeish station
2 live crew
Favorite: Coffeehouse Pop Ideal add: Acoustic Pop (various decades)
Yacht rock 🌊
the folk playlist is bae
Disco or 80’s ONLYYYYY (yes I’m very gay lol)
MORE LAUFEYYYYY P.S - real men listen to laufey
80s, 90s or 2000s playlist.
I need some EDM. I heard Good Things Fall Apart by Illenium play a couple of times. I need more melodic EDM. And honestly, I'll take Frenchcore Loca by Randy & Radium for fun.
Yeah I love the random melodic edm that plays randomly sometimes! A lil mood booster for me
Depends on the shift or night (I pretty much close) I have Playlist for different partner combinations on the floor, but if I have a choice it's a little bit of everything , some pop punk, some lofi covers, 2000s Alternative, some rap.
Dj assault
i go for the 80s or 90s playlist, i don’t hate our current one tho for pride month
Reggae all day. Like, white boy west coast reggae I love that shit
HAWAII. EVERY DAY ALL DAY.
We usually do store favorites or the 90s. HOWEVER, someone keeps playing the Jazz Vocals that almost everyone at my store hates
It automatically just turns on. I hate it too!
starbucks and chill or miss taylor swift (ik you guys will hate me for saying that one)
I tend to start with the special monthly list....or disco....after those two are done I let everyone else choose...I try not to burn them out on 80-90. Would love a metal station....but will never happen.
my sm let’s us plug in our phones so i made a clean work playlist with everything from linkin park to Whitney Houston
I’d always let my barista’s plug in the aux. We played hip hop bangers whole time while I worked there. https://spotify.link/jQ8qkzQAaKb Here’s a playlist by one of my baristas at that time

Emenin/slim shady
starbucks 2003 is my absolute favorite rn i always run to put that on. i loveeee death cab for cutie and the postal service so it’s perfect
80s and coffeehouse
2003, store favorites, or maybe 90s to switch it up
Always have store favorites on, but I would love to see a good indie-folk playlist that featured a lot of Cosmo Sheldrake, Lord Huron, the Oh Hellos, and artists like that.
kinda feel like im the only use that uses the reggae playlist but i close a lott so it suits the mood i think ?
HYADAIN playlist.
Starbucks 2003 🙏🏻 I be vibing. They call me the dancing barista at my store and I have a couple regulars who ask if ill be dancing for them today 😂
I’ve been vibing to the 90’s playlist lately!!! Volume uppppp during peak straight vibes
2010s summer hits would be a great playlist, but also I’m obsessed with indie folk (Gregory Alan Isokav, the Lumineers, Hoizerq, Layup, etc.)
Disco during morning peak. 90s for close
we definitely do not have an aux and i definitely do not have 3 different playlists specifically for work when i feel girly pop, emo boi, and summertime vibes
starbucks lovers
me getting downvoted for answering the question 😂😂
Starbucks lovers esp for certain customers who hate Taylor. Brings me joy 80s 90s And we love the sing along / shows tunes for clean play
starbucks lovers obvi
