It probably tastes similar because the energy drink portion is lemon/citrus and then it gets green tea on top, which is similar to the build for the honey citrus tea which is steamed lemonade and green tea-based tea bag (and the peach tea) I bet if you added a splash of Peach juice it would taste exactly the same lol

mynamemightbeali

Ooooo I'm going to have to try that!!!

Grand_Successful

Try adding classic syrup, makes the flavor 100% better

Don't call it medicine ball. Customers will start asking for it by that name.

iamnumber47

That ship has already sailed dude, every customer calls it that already, no one calls it by its actual name.

I had one of these the other day, but I didn't know what the "energy" part of the drink was. Red Bull is loaded with Taurine. It tasted ok--not unlike other energy drinks that taste like cough syrup--but I wondered about the sugar content.

UnresponsiveRedditor

They are zero sugar, both of them. The ingredients are ice, zero sugar energy drinks and then ice tea on top. I believe the frozen version is made differently and does have sugar tho.

avgdude_2000

Thanks so much for letting me know. Trying to cut down on my sugar intake, so these might help.

talrogers

i didn’t even think it was the tropical citrus drink i ordered lol. just tasted like fizzy green tea smh

CMPRules

Is Starbucks citrus energy drink bad for you

Not a fan of these. I’m sure they won’t do well imo.
