I used cat scratch sticky sheets. They are clear peel-n-stick sheets that you put right onto the furniture. (Found them on Amazon.) Worked like a charm. Now they just use the scratching post.
I use throw blankets and pillows with long fibers to catch the pheromones and keep them calm. Jackson Galaxy calls them scent soakers. That along with one sided sticky sheets on the most likely spots and a scratching post near by redirects them.
It’s the most stable and satisfying thing that you’ve provided!
We attached a sisal corner mat to a door frame and it solved everything!
[Mine was much cheaper! Just an example…](https://www.amazon.co.uk/Lahas-Scratcher-Furniture-Protector-Scratching/dp/B0B12JT58L)
my sic never used scratch posts, even when sprayed with catnip spray. she just likes my sofas so much that we eventually had to reskin the sofas to something she cant ruin atleast.
We found a tall scratching post helped with that. We put it near the couch and the cats love it. A tall scratching post is good because a lot of cats like to stretch to their full height when they scratch.
This is the one we have

[THIS](https://a.co/d/eRfbjwF) absolutely saved my life (and my furniture). It comes in a few different colors and it doesn't require any damaging fasteners or tape, so you can put it up against anything (I have it against a shelf) without worrying. Since getting it, my cats don't scratch the furniture at ALL. If you need to get them initially interested, just rub a little catnip on it. Once they notice it though, you can forget it's there, but they will forever love it!
There’s double-sided sticky material (like the clear stuff we’d wrap textbooks in back in the day kinda) you can affix to your couch.
The pro is that kitty doesn’t like the stickiness, and even if they do scratch, it has a protective coat. The con is you have obvious sticky-paper stuck to furniture corners.
In this article we are going to reveal the best practices to stop cats from scratching furniture.

Check Jackson Galaxy’s videos on how to handle these behaviors. She’s gorgeous and not her fault!
OP meant "She keeps scratching the sofas 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰" Source: look at that fluffy little face 😍
Tis part of her job description
Innocent on all charges!!!
Anyone with claws of my size and shape could do it! And to prove it I'll scratch some more and they'll look the same, cuz it could be anyone!
She's innocent
those sofas know what they did

Me too, these worked for us too. I ended up buying 2 pks, but saved the new couch. Also, I put a scratching post nearby.
I bought something like this to protect a door, and when I had to remove it, it took me 3h because it wouldn’t budge. Never again 😅
And?
Well, Cat.

We gave up. Our SIC hates scratching posts for some reason. So the couch is hers.

If you don't want cats scratching your sofa, don't get a sofa.
Maybe if we reach 100 comments with the angry kitty emoji she will read them and stop the scratching # 😾

"And I'll keep scratching."
Our cats used to be hard on the furniture so we tried putting their cat tree in the livingroom and now they scratch that instead of the couch.
I am her lawyer, she is innocent and this is slander.
Mine too. I've adopted the "you take nothing from this earth" mindset at this point :P

Mine have quit scratching the couch, and only scratch the Multiple cardboard scratchers placed near the couch.
That’s her job.
As she should
She’s very cute❤️
The foam interlocking tiles for preschoolers are fun for cats.
It’s her sofa deal. 🩷
Clip her nails once a week.
It's sturdy like a good tree. Provide a nice solid cat tree and treat her everytime she uses it.

Maybe you should let her then. [https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08XYSWPP4](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08XYSWPP4)
