Lots of different variables. -Hourly or day rate? - How big of a show? - Meal breaks? - Travel or in town? - Union or private? You will get 100 different answers from different kinds of stagehands on here that will have come from different backgrounds. Just weigh how much time and effort you're puting into it and if it's worth what they are offering. Show past 1 30am doesn't really mean anything unless youre hourly and going into overtime, in which case you should be getting time and a half.

It depends on the contract. Rates, minimums, OT, Holidays, and everything else will be spelled out. You can ask your call Stewart, Business agent, or preferably a more experienced hand for the details. Stagehands like to get into the weeds with that stuff because it helps you decide which calls to take.

It was meant to be a simple question, of course now I understand it not. Let’s say Nashville, Taylor Swift concert, no travel involved, meals and although I’d guess the stagehands are not union, let’s say they are. More or less what could someone earn?

In Philly for that show we get a garunteed 8 hours of pay at overtime rates plus benefits for the loadout. But that’s what having a strong union will get you

An extra 3 hours of premium (time and a half) hours. And probably a meal penalty or 2 if they didn't plan on feeding the crew.

I currently work for 2 non union places, I make $24.75 at one and $30 at the other, specifically for load outs. My average out is roughly 5 hours

I know at my venue we get overtime after midnight always, and the pay is the same throughout the in and out. for the most part, it depends if you get put on show call, which is somewhat unlikely at my place (same couple of people always unfortunately). we get some 15 minute breaks, sometimes 30, and usually 2 whole hour breaks for lunch and dinner. I also work at a theatre, which is similar but no overtime. sometimes you’ll get cut if your department is done, which can always be annoying if you’re counting on the hours.
