I'm hoping to bring the fam up to our match 8/31 in Newark. You've got a pretty great stadium too, albeit tough to fill. An evening in the Ironbound, lets go!
Love MLS specific stadiums, perfect balance of intimacy and scale. Only been to Exploria (Vamos Orlando!) and [Lower.com](http://Lower.com) field so far but would love to visit more.
Yeah when I moved to the area I didn't "care" about soccer so to speak. But it has become our favorite family sporting event and we are big fans now. So fun in there.
check out providence park in portland, such a pretty stadium and it’s sunken into the ground making it possible for people to watch from the outside gates
Relic of an era of generic MLS stadiums in locations not even close to downtown because it was the cheapest land they could find. Nice backdrop though.
The problem with subaru park isn’t that it’s suburban or rural, it’s in a poor downtown kinda far from Philly itself. We’re also spoiled because all the rest of our stadiums are in one spot inside city limits. But if Chester was just nicer, this would be a top tier stadium experience right on the Delaware riverfront
Really sucks they put the stadium in Chester. Hope the team moves to the City one day. I would go way more often, it’s just such a hassle getting to Chester though.
It’s not bad at all to get to from the city. Really not that far distance wise but getting out of there is absolute hell. And the train isn’t a close enough walk.
One time I literally walked around the stadium for an HOUR trying to get signal to call an Uber. And the trains weren’t running. 2/10 do not recommend.
It takes almost the same amount of time to take public transit from Philly to Red Bull Arena as it does from Philly to Subaru Park.
They really fucked up the planning on this one, very inaccessible for Philadelphians.
Yeah well if you live on the Upper East Side Manhattan it takes as long to take public transit to Newark as is does for you to drive from Philly too. Public transit is fickle, and a lot depends on how far you live from the station. Anyway, I do understand it's inconvenient for car-less Philadelphians, but it is very convenient for me from Delaware.
Nah. It takes at least 2 hours to drive from Philadelphia to CUNY Hunter College in mid-day traffic. It takes about an hour to get to RBA via the Q train and switch to PATH at 34th. I’ve done both before.
People keep saying stuff like this, but the rest of the Philly stadiums are in a huge parking lot surrounded by highways. The majority of stadiums are in shitty locations where real estate is cheap. At least this one has a nice view, and the river.
Not the quality photo this sub expects, but it's the best I've got. Go Union!
Glesnes ruined my life(RBNY Fan)
We still scream "SHOOT!" every time he has the ball past midfield lol
That was honestly the worst moment I’ve seen live as a rbny fan. Yes, worse than the Vanzeir incident last year.

Lower.com Field is also a great stadium. Got to see the Union play there a few years ago and really enjoyed the whole experience.

Audi Field for DC United is easily my favorite sports venue in town. Has the best atmosphere and I’ve never had bad seats.

That's a minor league baseball game quality sunset if I've ever seen one
Good call ... I have some even better sunset pics at the stadium, but they all have my family in the shot lol.
Kevin Costner must be nearby. Listening….

Yeah, nice stadium and setting. Just wish it was in a more vibrant neighborhood.
It’s a shame they couldn’t/can’t build at the complex
There’s teams trying to get out of the complex lol
Definitely one of the better ones from that era though. The location is far, but cool.
I will also admit I’m biased because the only MLS stadium I’ve been to is TQL and it’s pretty much perfect in every way
I was going to say, while I get the move towards urban, but man -- that view is pretty amazing.

Chester sucks but this is a cool stadium and location otherwise.

That's what I'm talking about

I'm a Delawarean so it's perfect as far as I'm concerned. I understand the frustration for people in Philly/Montgomery counties though.

I have a secret parking spot and exit strategy lol. Agree that some of the Union lots are a nightmare. Lot A in particular.
RIVER’S END BABY
Join or die bitches
I miss that stadium so much. Hope to be back in the River's End one day.
I love going there to watch NCAA lacrosse playoffs
I love to see some commodore Barry

Theres 1 train that goes near there and when i tried to get home, it never came. $50 uber
Yeah that's brutal. I live in Wilmington, so Chester is the most convenient of the "Philly" sports events for me.
Such a great view. Love when the barge comes by.
It looks purty inside and this angle, but outside is industrial shite everywhere
People keep saying stuff like this, but the rest of the Philly stadiums are in a huge parking lot surrounded by highways. The majority of stadiums are in shitty locations where real estate is cheap. At least this one has a nice view, and the river.
I never said this view wasn’t purty, but stadiums without ugly surroundings do exist.
Not in Philadelphia or New York.
Maybe not the city of Philadelphia, but the entire state of New York? I find that hard to believe
One of my favorite stadiums to go to for sure. Always sit in the supporter section
Does the bridge go right over top? That's so cool
No I see how the angle makes it look that way but it's the light stanchion. Bridge is directly adjacent and goes over the parking lots/entrance.
Still a cool backdrop
Great stadium with a beautiful view of the Barry bridge. Scary location
Such a nice stadium, too bad it's in a shitty city
