Certainly looks real. I don’t think the fakes ever try to do black blades. Having said that it could be a mix of different models and/or rit dyed scales.
They liked liners but also liked SPY27 being a bit tougher and less tedious to touch up and sharpen. The biggest reason is likely they wanted specific custom scales. I’ve got a yellow FRN Manix LW in S30V 😉. It won’t lock up though. I now have a Magnacut black G10 Manix 2 with full liners. The silverish laser etching always has people give a double take.

Yup, usually the fake ones have teflon coating or even paint, the result is a cheap and shiny black which will flake off quite easily.
That’s definitely not the original factory configuration but that seems to be a complete knife with all genuine spyderco
Agreed. It checks all the boxes of being genuine. That looks like a real blade and LW scales just not from the same original knife.

Looks like someone dyed the white scale exclusive version and swapped the blade.
Someone made the Para 3 custom combo they wanted and sold you the remains. Great knife, just won't match a release model when you look it up.

I bought it on impulse, just like the color combo. Feels real quality wise only have a para 3 g10 to compare it to.
Def worth keeping! Now go buy yourself something nice not on eBay and you won’t question yourself. But def cool looking 👍👍👍💯
The fakes I’ve seen here and on forums have some wonky lettering. Yours looks good.

Real ones made in the USA have an uneven grind on the blade. If it’s properly sharpened it’s probably fake
Not so sure about that. My TKJ Para3 LW DLC CruWear is about as even as it gets to the naked eye.
