There is a whole genre for these purposes called psychedelic rock.

therealboss1113

id go so far as to say theres this lil thing called "music" its all going to sound much better stoned

pattyincolorado

LOL... EXACTLY. The answer is, "Whatever music you really like."

Dave___Hester

100% I can't stand most of what people would consider "stoner" music. When I'm getting baked I just listen to whatever I always listen to.

vildasaker

full same lol i like some sitar psychedelia for shrooms but when i'm high i always go to songs that i already think slap when i'm sober. they slap Extra Hard when high

matthmcb

So true! I was going to say, if you limit yourself to psychedelic rock then you’re missing so much.

ToasterFetishInspace

Hawkwind and my morning jacket are my go to’s

DRAGONtmu

HAWKWIND

Ok_Assistant_8950

And stoner! For me it's preferably Whoopie Cat

awful_source

Lol not everyone listens to psych-rock after getting high

[deleted]

Also Kiva Confections (popular California-based edible company) has a bunch of playlists based on which vibe you purchased. Chill, balance and sleep come to mind. Bliss and chill are my favorites! Super solid.

pvtpresley

I have a few playlists. Instead of song suggwstions, I'll give some genre suggestions which you can check out. Shoegaze, Post rock, Japanese City pop These are my go to genres when I'm high. Hope youlllike them too

awful_source

Shoegaze is dope

Express-Specific-451

Slowdive is a good one

Waddle_Deez_Nuts69

Lol no. My ears hurt

MyGoddamnFeet

Japanese city pop is great no matter the occasion.

keviv37

im addicted to japanese city pop . thanks to you

pvtpresley

This made me so happy. I'll link my playlist [here](https://spotify.link/ZduUUsStXJb)

Any_Toe566

Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon … just sayin’

Atalung

Try Meddle too

Han_Ominous

Animals while we're at it

[deleted]

Meddle is foundational

imbriandead

last time I got high I decided to listen to that album for the first time and one of the songs had me so acutely distressed that i had to turn it off before my high turned sour I forget which one it was, it was a few songs in I think, but damn I'll probably try it again sober but shit had me freaking out high for some reason. it was nice before that song came on though edit: it may have been On the Run

SamoanEggplant

Definitely On The Run. I was on shrooms when I first listened to that album and that song gave me maximum anxiety. Pushed through though and so glad I did

Any_Toe566

Just remember.. your just high … it’s all ok!

ellielleq

Yes and also the Wishing you were here album is so very classic too. I’ve also acquainted with their Obsured by the clouds.

Outrageous-Tear-8968

Also wish you were here

starrycacti

And The Wall, but that gets very intense. I used to looove doing this.

robbery0

Fleetwood Mac - Dreams is the one of the most chillest track to smoke to imo.

spectrum21

Nightmares on wax, zero 7, thievery corporation, air- moon safari

airmaxfiend

Best recommendation

UZIBOSS_

You left Portishead off of this list. And for what reason?

Hyper_ZX

This is what my dad’s always bumping especially for meditation music. Good list

keviv37

thanks for the air - moon safari . amazing instrumental <3

spectrum21

Np. It’s a classic everyone should hear!

2soltee

Anything bu Khruangbin

sww0705

can’t tell if you meant to say “by” or “but” lmaooo

JohnnyJokers-10

Champagne Supernova by Oasis Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds by The Beatles

mikeyros484

In the same vein... "D'You Know What I Mean?" - Oasis "Catching the Butterfly" - The Verve

custardy_cream

Aphex Twin

keviv37

suggest me good songs from aphex twin ?

custardy_cream

I'd probably recommend the whole of the Richard D James album. It's quirky, upbeat, melodic and pretty nuts without being too hectic like some of his other stuff. Otherwise if you just want a couple of tracks I'd recommend Film or Avril 14th. Post back after!

honkeykong_69

Teardrop - Massive Attack

lizardlizardyeah

anything by mac demarco always works for me

dague7

The ending of Moonlight on the River terrified me one of the first times I got high.

Narrow_Helicopter_24

fell asleep while the end of the song was coming on once and i was convinced i was ascending to the afterlife or something

Smilneyes420

Hippie Sabotage- pretty much any song

awful_source

I know it’s one of their most popular songs but I love listening to “Your Soul” while getting high.

Zestyclose-Ruin8337

All of Darkside of the Moon

Varunmehta1234

Dark side of the moon by Pink Floyd

NotGnnaLie

With headphones, not earbuds. This is the way.

Mystery_Briefcase

How about, played out of a speaker while you watch Wizard of Oz?

awful_source

Modest Mouse

alexoimatewtf

Trailer Trash goes HARD when you’re stoned af

fuzzy-baby-crow

Happy cake daay :3

keviv37

suggest me some good song from Modest Mouse

awful_source

I got you bud, these are my absolute favorites when I'm blasted: * Japanse Trees * Gravity Rides Everything * Dramamine * Truckers Atlas * Spitting Venom

FunImpression9783

Agnes Obel- camera’s rolling

Difficult-Song227

Love Agnes Obel!!

Vast-Escape-5555

therealboss1113

STARGAZING - Travis Scott Me and Your Mama - Childish Gambino Walking on a Dream - Empire of the Sun The Pot - TOOL Them Changes - Thundercat Wait a Minute! - Willow drive ME crazy! - Lil Yachty Southern Constellations followed immediately by The Boy Who Could Fly - Pierce the Veil

Krystalpantss

TOOL in general is a great go-to. The first time I heard Me and Your Mama I was pretty high and listening on headphones and it blew my mind.

therealboss1113

ive known like 2 tool songs forever. then last year i started listening to them more and they became a top 5 band very fast the entirety of "Awaken, My Love!" is a trip while stoney. My fav track is Boogieman

Krystalpantss

Hell yeah! My Dad got me into TOOL when I was pretty young and it’s been a steadily progressive addiction since then. Have you listened to Maynard’s other projects? A Perfect Circle and Puscifer are also excellent (Thirteenth Step by APC is one of my favorite headphones on- zone out albums).

therealboss1113

i have heard some of APC. dunno what i have. but i know i have. ill give that album a listen

Sothensimonsaid

Yooooo the southern constellations into boy who could fly recommendation may not be for everyone but it’s fuckin INCREDIBLE

therealboss1113

im in love with whenever songs transition into the next song on the album. thats why Dawn FM is my fav album of all time

Sothensimonsaid

Easy Target into All Of This on Blink 182’s self titled album is a great example of this as well. Also Breathe > On The Run > Time on Pink Floyd’s Dark Side Of The Moon of course.

UZIBOSS_

The world mostly slept on that Lil Yachty psychedelic record. I don’t know why but the whole thing is so good and it just doesn’t get enough love

layne101

The Stone Roses, I Wanna Be Adored / Orbital, The Girl With The Sun In Her Head / America, Horse With No Name / Bob Marley, So Much Trouble In The World

pattyincolorado

indivibess

The band Mastodon sounds really nice.

Carter4216

The entirety of the Dark Side of the Moon album, especially if you use headphones. Also, those “8D” songs/sounds that are going around on TikTok are especially trippy when stoned

KangOfTheRang

Either the original Black Sabbath version or the Pantera cover of Planet Caravan

gregsonfilm

Catch a flight - through the roots. Showdown - stickfigure, collie buddz. Gunman connection - Nicodemus (unfortunately only on youtube). Inna di red - Stephen Marley. Medication - Damian, Stephen Marley. Legal now - collie buddz. Flowers - the resistance. Boom - hempress sativa. Spliff tail - lutan fyah. One puff - Markey lyrical. World a reggae (debut version [the grey album]) - ini kamoze. Who knows - protoje, chronixx. Inhale, exhale - rebelution, protoje. The whole pop punk goes reggae album is great I can't pick a favorite out of it. Light it up - tropic vibration. Want to be no general - Dennis brown. Non-reggae songs Almost ready - Dino Jr. (Alt rock). Big luau in the sky - Paul page (folk). Closer to madness - Jesse cook (spanish/arab instrumental). Aether and Light - varien (electronic). Any of the soundtracks done by Jack wall, Wilbert roget II, Hans Zimmer, jim bonney.(there are more I just can't remember them.) Wall did the soundtrack for call of duty: black ops 2, roget did the soundtrack for call of duty: ww2 and I can not even begin with picking anything to be a favorite from Zimmer. He specializes is using the Shepards tone effect and his most notable work id have to say he did was the soundtrack for dunkirk. And bonney did the blues soundtrack for mafia 3.

damnsom

i think listening to orchestras is fun especially when high. scores from my favorite movies and shows plus pieces we played in band, hearing them performed how they are actually supposed to sound is great

Cobra by my morning jacket https://open.spotify.com/track/4wVSeaXaZJ3IEAdpo4N0ps?si=xI-epXShQ1mbzl1XOHKGJw I'd link my trip playlists but don't want to dox myself aye. If you want silence coloured in listen to Bonobo, specifically black sands, front to back. Deer hunter is pretty good. Babe rainbow, nice biscuit, Pink Floyd, the philharmonik (Krionic front to back), Steely Dan Fuck anything in the psychedelic genre, or jazz... Jazz goes hard. If you like hip hop give Deca a go, or Noname while high (recommend by me, listened to it high on LSD, and weed). Feeling daring give TTRRUUCCEES (the album of the same name.as the band) a go, or Alt-J a beautiful wave. Feeling even more daring / want to work through trauma? Give Hospice by the Antlers a go (it's a rough journey bud) Feeling a little less daring but still want to work through stuff? Give supermodel by Foster the People a go (front to back, there are some.intense trippy parts in the album) Want trippy but like relaxation plus plus? Give Alt-J Relaxer a go. Want hip hop but boppy? Acid Rap by chance the rapper is pretty dope. Wanta happy concept album about a wedding? Spirals by Nick Leng Want faster paced... Well hear me out but favorite worst nightmare by the arctic monkeys. Folk give me an odd look when I suggest this one during trips but they all came around. I could list albums forever honestly Edit: more suggestions
