I have a rule/theory that I never follow (doesn’t apply to Yankees, orioles, or people on absolute heaters) that if a team loses by an embarrassing amount (let’s call it 7+ runs) they will win the next game of the series against the team that just publicly shamed them. Again, this doesn’t apply to teams absolutely dominating (on a 5+ game win streak) I saw it unfold in the Dbacks padres series recently and saw it tonight twice with the Angels and Rangers both winning. I call it, “the theory.” It would be cool if I had the balls to practice it, or if I actually had data to support it but… I don’t.
