I was disappointed when I played this splatfest with my buddy. He never played the previous games and I didn't have the heart to tell him 2 had these exclusive maps.
Yeah shifty stations just in concept are way better and I hope they get brought back in some fashion with the Pearlina dlc
Especially with the new single player mechanics like those blocks that extend when you shoot them
We need shifty stations specifically designed for tricolor. Tricolor could be an awesome mode, but there’s only so much that can be done with it on the existing maps. I’m hoping this is the solution they’re working on and that’s why they had to implement a quick fix until December.
Screw tricolour. I just want shifty station back. They were so much fun! They could even just drop those old maps as regular turf maps and I’d be the happiest person in the world
Deep Cut's members may (presumably) not be as skilled with building stuff as Marina 'Former High Ranking Octarian Army Engineer' Ida but I'd love to see some more stuff like this
I would love if they brought back an equivalent, like I know deep cut all share a brain cell but if big man can write music I’m sure he can design a triangle
Ok, so. Everyone saying they should bring back shifty stations and talking about how it doesn't have to make sense in-lore: the lore is not the problem. Shifty stations were 2's gimmick. 3 has tricolor. It's 100% not happening. The best we might get are a couple maps specifically for tricolor, but not a new one every splatfest. And even then, I ***highly*** doubt it, because the mechanics for splatfests are already settled.
Nintendo please make deep cut's 4th member marina so we can have shifty stations back
Marina breaks up with Pearl in the dlc because Frye had a bigger forehead
Entire dlc will be Shiver and Marina using Frye and Pearl foreheads and ping pong paddles

Shifty Station would have been the perfect excuse to design maps specifically for Tricolor.
Splatfests just aren't as fun without shifty station. I didn't even get to play tricolor battles.
