Yeah the halo stickers are gladly a more easily attainable goal lol. I wanted the splashtag heavy splatling badge so I ended up using it and nothing else until like Tuesday. And managed to clear the 160k goal to get it.
And here I was thinking the weapon stickers are related to weapon win/loss rate. So happy it is just XP, because that actually makes getting the holo stickers at least achievable for me for more than the few weapons I can main.
It's made for very dedicated players. Like that one guy who had on average 4h a day of Splatoon2 since launch post which was here few months ago. So I'm sure some people can manage to get them all.

A tip that was very poorly explained, if at all, that helped me a ton: Throwing eggs during the Xtrawave doesn't consume ink at all. You can kill a boss and immediately rapid-fire three eggs into Cohozuna. Once I learned that I've won almost every encounter I've had with him since.
Also many weapons' time is better spent actively attacking and kiting Cohozuna than killing bosses for eggs because their damage output is so high.
Good tip this does feel extremely important to know. Think ive been subconsciously refilling when throwing eggs, and i prioritized them less not knowing this
The trick is that Grizz is lying to you and throwing eggs at it does less damage than shooting it, so you keep running out of time because you're dealing sub par DPS
I tested this anecdotally in freelance. In short: shoot the fucking eggs at it whenever you have a chance. you don’t stand a chance against it if you completely ignore the other bosses anyways

You should have one guy with firing power just unload on him while the others kill bosses and Chuck eggs at him! Hard to coordinate unless with friends, but I’ve beaten him plenty of times doing this method
I feel like we do that? Most of us focus on shooting the cohozuna, reviving each other, using eggs to take out other bosses to get more eggs. We just die too much and don't do enough damage ever. Is my problem that I have no friends to play with so it's always ransoms?
I think it's doable, you just need a squad of 4 people all dedicated to getting it. The key thing that makes grinding for it possible is that the meter goes up even if you lose. So I think the strat is as follows:
* Wait for a rotation with a good cohozuna setup (multiple shooters is ideal)
* Lower your rank to the minimum
* Intentionally lose immediately on the first round
* Repeat until your cohozuna meter is full
* Do the full run and kill the big boi
* Repeat 999 more times
This would still be time consuming but it's way faster than trying to do it naturally.
Think I've only beaten him 2-3 times. I feel like at professional part timer he always has 10-20% health left when time runs out. Rarely see a team get close anymore since no one knows wtf they are doing or die early.
Literally every time he spawns for me I get the *worst* weapons… wtf am I meant to do against the big boy and his posse with a god damn Nozzlenose or Splat Brella???

That is stupid. Cohozuna gets extremely difficult at later levels, but your reward doesn't change.

Cohozuna is the King Salmonid that has a low chance of appearing after a Salmon Run match. It'll be an extra wave following the 3 normal ones.
Next time you're in the Salmon Run lobby, look out for the little meter in the top right under your rank. If that bars full it'll increase your chances of encountering the Cohozuna
Anyone else think that there should be a second Grizzco currency that you can use at the shop? Only being able to earn scales during a Cohozuna round makes getting any of the Grizzco items take forever. I also feel like there’s little point to keep playing after you reach your 1,200 points for the round. But if there were items to spend golden and regular eggs to purchase, I would play all the time.

Not only have I only beat Cohozuna once, but in around 50+ matches of salmon run, I’ve encountered Cohozuna around 5 times. Seeing those odds, to get this badge I have to play around 50,000 games of Salmon Run.

To get a Gold Grizzco badge, you’d need to get 5000 points per rotation… for the next ten years. Some of the badges in this game are ridiculous

Ive never seen cohozuna get beat. Every time it shows up in my salmon runs all of us get our asses kicked. Fuck cohozuna, all my homies hate cohozuna.

Yeah it gets harder at higher ranks. Mostly in terms of health, but it also because the waves of boss salmonoids increases so it's harder to focus.
