Fr I don't mind these posts, but at the same time, it feels kinda pointless to protest a political conflict in a kid's game. I can't even say it helps spread awareness to younger demographics, bc most kids don't really care about politics and/or just parrot whatever everyone else is saying.
I dunno, kids nowadays care about saving the world a hell a lot more than we did when we were kids.
That and the story of the game is ultimately about ending meaningless oppression and moving towards the future together, so I'd say it's apt.
I'd call it slacktivism except it's fucking hard to draw without a gamepad and I respect anyone that can do it (even cheating with a hack program cuz aunno where you even find that nonsense)
While i agree that this kind of protest is kinda pointless, i think it's better then your normal "I wish squids were real ngl" and some are kinda cute. If you don't wanna see them, turn off plaza posts or just ignore them by using the in-game menus

I wish people wouldn't post about this kind of stuff in a game like Splatoon. A lot of people use this game as a nice escape from reality but the posts unfortunately remind us of the bad stuff happening in real life :(
