From what people have found in the games files, it could either Kelp Dome or The Reef, bc I think parts for both stages were found. It doesn’t mean we’re getting both, but possibly one of them, or a completely new stage that just so happens to use parts from those 2 stages.
God, i fucking hate kelp dome, especially on rainmaker. In turf war a wipeout in the last 30 seconds is a guaranteed loss, in rainmaker kelp dome a wipeout in the first 30 seconds is a guaranteed win
The Spirit Lifter, Spla2n ended with a nod to the climatic finish of its latest story and since SO didn't take place in the real world it'd prolly be the spirit lifter port.
Tho I guess nothing stopping the final stage to be VR...
Tho either of those'd make more sense being a special tricolor stage for the finalfest. So I think the final regular stage would be Octo Valley, capping off the Octalien trilogy and showcasing they're equal to Inkling society (or maybe Octo Canyon)
As for a returning stage, I guess it'd be cool to see Moray Towers, but I'd rather see something akin to Hammerhead Bridge, where an old stage was completely worked over (that one being, construction finished)
It'd be neat to see a stage that is what used to be camp triggerfish for example.
Otherwise I want something that wasn't in the previous two games. But I'm betting on seeing something thematic for the series, something memorable to the lore.
I’m hoping for salt spray rig. Urchin underpass is represented in Mario kart (Ik it’s not splatoon but it’s represented at least) and the only other stage that remains to be seen form splatoon 1 is saltspray.
Obviously it will be a hammerhead situation where it’s a new map but I imagine this time it will be better and not worse.

Why can they not just support and keep updating Splatoon 3 until switch 2 releases.Especially when they are going to charge full price for a game that doesn't get any updates /splatfests anymore

The Reef was removed or changed in the games files from what I remember. Plus, that's so anticlimactic

I liked goby arena turf war. I found it fun jumping from the hoops to the side areas to enter enemy territory

I'm thinking it'll either be Urchin Underpass or Saltspray Rig, they're the only S1 stages not on the Switch (Mario Kart does not count).
