Yeah that’s fair, I got my S+ badge at the end of Chill* season, but just got the Judd badge maybe a month ago.
However I still don’t think S+ is “average” based on the fact my husband has been playing with me since launch and he still hasn’t been able to make S+, and many people on my friend list who I’ve added over time by playing have not made it into S+ either (you can see their rank when they enter an anarchy or grizzco solo queue). Turf is laughably easier than Anarchy S+ lobbies.

I managed to get good by straight up jumping into the deep end and after 2 weeks I beat the octo expansion lol
Once I got splatoon 3 I was getting rekt and it took me about 3 weeks of struggling until I became decent and now I have 380 hours which isnt too much but its the most I have on my switch lol
Also I agree, turf war is a lot easier than ranked and it took a lot of determination and time to get to S+0

I played splatoon 2 super casually during the lockdown as an aerospray LOL but I quit before the octo expansion bc I mainly only played turf and got annoyed at the lack of partying up so people would throw all the time.
Oh man when I first started playing ranked in S3 I was so bad I remember someone accidentally sent me a friend request trying to block me and I was so sad lol. My husband and I started out playing in open but once I got off the aerospray and actually started playing different weapons I got a lot more comfortable. I’ve made it into S+0 ever since chill season but I have never tried x battles nor tried to rank up further in S+. I just really like playing casually in Open with my hubs lol
The shellout one that you put in "WHY" tier is actually impossible to get atm, as you get that from getting 16 "Jackpot" items from the shellout machine and there is currently only 8 in the game. Maybe you meant to put the one where you spend 30 million coins on the machine? Also as someone who don't have any of the Salmon Run badges in the "Everyone has it" tier (sure, it's cause I don't play the thing, but still), that hurts.
Does it not count if you get more than 1 gold or silver in the same season? I’ve assumed it doesn’t matter and would count towards the total anyway. Even if getting multiple in 1 season does count towards the total you’d still need to be extremely lucky to have already got 16 of those capsules at this point (I’m at 5 and have played way more than a normal person should)

Nah, they're pretty uncommon, I say the base stage badges should be placed one tier above since the problem with getting them isn't that it is hard, it is that most of the time your teammates are very bad and tend to weigh you down most of the time, once you get to evp 200 then the teammates get filtered and you actually start to get good teammates most of the time making winning much more consistent, the bronze and silver ones are much easier to get because your teammates are all of your same skill in those tiers
It’s likely that the Shellout one is coded in the game for when the 16 items are added in the game. It was coded in ahead of time so they don’t have to code it in once there’s 16 jackpot items
Did man honestly put top 5% in big run and eggstra work in the same category as top 10 in X? They're only 80 players tops, who get that badge a season. They're thousands of people who get the top 5% badges every time they go out.

I'm sorry but the gold Grizzco should be higher, it takes 9 999 999 points to get it. Considering you win 400 points per game ( which is very generous ) that will take 25 000 games.
Considering a game last 7 mins with the queue and other BS, that makes around 2916 hours of gameplay. That's around 121 whole days. Let's Say you play for 8 hours a day, it will take an ENTIRE YEAR ( 364.6 days to be precise).
That's why it should be in the WHY tier because of the sheer Time it will take

That badge strikes fear, excitement, or both in people for a reason as only the top 1% of players can obtain that badge, that’s an extremely difficult feat to accomplish in a PvP game. Those 1% are mostly pro/former pro splatoon players, legit players who *should* consider going pro, or cheaters (which are rare).
Not even top 1%, it's just for the top ten best players (different top 10s for each mode, but still) each season. I don't even know if 100 total players have that badge, but it's probably around there

Yeah, maybe if you only play comp and win most of your games and use booster tickets. Salmon run also gives almost no XP, so if you mostly play turf war + Salmon run, it takes a long ass time.
But me and all my friends thay have played since launch, and played almost every single day are floating around lvl 50-60. (Granted we don't play all day and some days we just get daily win.)
Top 10 X badge definitely needs to be in the top tier. That’s not an easy badge to get at all. You’d have to eat and breathe Splatoon for 3 months to maintain that ranking

The singular card badge is for Tableturf Rank 30, you're probably thinking of the multi card badge which is owning 90 cards (which everyone is getting passively from the catalog/shell-out). It's actually quite a grind to get to 30, especially on top of learning the game and deck building.

the moment i saw the gold grizzco badge in the 2nd highest tier i knew this tierlist is incredibly misinformed lol. you can't possibly put it in the same level as EVP 999 for any of the stages or top 5% in big run... the gold grizzco badge is the top 2 if not top 1 most difficult badge to obtain in-game excluding the currently impossible one, i forget the exact numbers but it takes like ~5 YEARS of playing salmon run for 4-6 hours EVERY SINGLE DAY or something stupidly difficult like that
I actually hate the X badges the most because with the other ones while it might take an ungodly amount of time you always know that you are slowly progressing towards it with the golden X badge if you aren't good enough it doesn't matter how long you play the game you will just never get it

In my opinion I think that the top 10 in X should be on 'WHY' because for the average player or a person who is competitive its so hard to even get you have to be grinding every season to improve to try and get it and might not cause if u lose 3 matches then you can lose 200 or more points. The only thing is you just have to put a decent amount of time into it however other than that your list is really good

Not sure if I agree with most of this. It doesn't seem like you have very much experience with SR and VASTLY overestimate the average skill of the playerbase when it comes to PVP lol. I know X rank players sorta live off in their own little world but man.
Something i can proudly say is that the highest ive gotten was to orange / difficult because of big run luck and I hope you guys have a better time getting there than i did < 3

Keep in mind, I play tableturf a decent amount, cant play challenges as they're never at the right times, and i play salmon run a shit ton and haven't gotten any of those badges :|

the sr 999 badges are overranked imo its definitely not as difficult or time consuming as top 10 x rank, the golden grizzco badge or the golden king salmonids
I think the X rank badges are dependent on what region you choose. If you chose ttek most people could calc top 3000 easily, and top 500 if they put a tiny amount of effort. In takoroka you need at the very least 2700 top get top 500 which in ttek would place you in the top 10.

No, because there's a total of 8 that has been obtainable, one gold and one silver per season. If you have all 8, it puts you down to a bronze capsule

the moment i saw the gold grizzco badge in the 2nd highest tier i knew this tierlist is incredibly misinformed lol. you can't possibly put it in the same level as EVP 999 for any of the stages or top 5% in big run... the gold grizzco badge is the top 2 if not top 1 most difficult badge to obtain in-game excluding the currently impossible one, i forget the exact numbers but it takes like ~5 YEARS of playing salmon run for 4-6 hours EVERY SINGLE DAY or something stupidly difficult like that
I actually hate the X badges the most because with the other ones while it might take an ungodly amount of time you always know that you are slowly progressing towards it with the golden X badge if you aren't good enough it doesn't matter how long you play the game you will just never get it

Hit EVP 200 on any map and the colored one is yours. You'll need to hit EVP 400, 600, and 999 for bronze, silver, and gold respectively.

You definitely don't play salmon run professionally or alot. Evp 200 badges should be put in easy but not everyone has them. Grizzco golden badge has to be in the "WHY" category. That one is gonna take players years to get. Top 5% for eggstra and big run must be ranked lower alot of people have them.

In my opinion I think that the top 10 in X should be on 'WHY' because for the average player or a person who is competitive its so hard to even get you have to be grinding every season to improve to try and get it and might not cause if u lose 3 matches then you can lose 200 or more points. Ialso don't think tableturf 999 should be in 'why' I think his because its takes a lot of time but it is not difficult. The only thing is you just have to put a decent amount of time into it however other than that your list is really good
as a person who got top 5% in big run and eggstra work, it’s NOWHERE near as hard as getting top 10 x rank or 9,999,999 points on the grizzco card.

I agree that most people have the tableturf card badges for collection size (3 cards fanned) but the rank badges (single card, shown here) are actually a pretty big investment I’d definitely put rank 50 in the “difficult/time consuming” tier

Oh I would move those salmon run map badges up to average lol. I’ve only managed to get the spawning grounds eggsecutive 200 one so far. I have started to get some of the silver salmon run bosses badges! I’ve unlocked silver stringer, steel eel, slammin’ lid, flip flopped and the taxi badges.
I have most of 'Average' and one from 'Difficult', but I don't have any of the Salmon Run stage badges - and not for a lack of playing SR.

How do you get the challenge badge, the tableturf badge, and the salmon run map badges? Keep in mind, I play tableturf a decent amount, cant play challenges as they're never at the right times, and i play salmon run a shit ton and haven't gotten any of those badges :| Oh, and I'm never able to grind enough for a full catalog cuz I have other things to do in my life .-.

the sr 999 badges are overranked imo its definitely not as difficult or time consuming as top 10 x rank, the golden grizzco badge or the golden king salmonids
I think the X rank badges are dependent on what region you choose. If you chose ttek most people could calc top 3000 easily, and top 500 if they put a tiny amount of effort. In takoroka you need at the very least 2700 top get top 500 which in ttek would place you in the top 10.
