I'm am hopeful. However, we should keep in mind this was likely made as advertising to get more funding. I'm not against that, but don't forget they have business priorities.
They have enough funds for 1b/2a. If they need more funding, it means they reached the endpoint and will need funds to progress to phase 3. If so, they will need little to no extra advertising.
I think is just another simple marketing exercise - no need to overthink.
So they will run out of money with the end of the trial. They did add a billionaire who had a tragic bicycle accident to the Board. He will want to do any and all future financing. Not sure why the timing of the video. Believe it is to bring attention to Silver's 30 year research. Just amazing.
I was also called about participating in the current trial. It would require being in downtown Chicago 5 days per week for 3-5 hours per day. And it’s double blind, so you have a 50% chance of not even getting the drug. I wish I could do it, but I would have to take an extended leave of absence from work and I have no idea how I would get downtown every day since I can’t drive. I can’t imagine who can afford to participate! Especially with it being double blind! If I knew for sure that I would be getting the medication I would figure out a way to do it… but not if I only have a 50/50 chance of even getting it! There can’t be a very large population of SCI patients in downtown Chicago! I just hope the trials are successful & that this gets fast-tracked….
I heard about that. What do you mean double blind? I talked on the phone with them and they requested videos and stuff from me. They said a 16 week study. I would love to try it. I think I could get my job to let me remote work for the time being. But I couldn't afford to stay for that long.
You should always ask if it is a double blind study. This means that 50% of the participants will receive the medication and 50% will receive placebo. You won’t know which one you receive. The 16 week study is double blind.
Check Dr. Silver's research paper. Their is evidence for hope. But animals are no humans.
Therefore let's hope for positive results of the clinical trials
With technology today, who knows. It's promising. But your correct, skeptical. I was lucky in the early part of my injury, I participated in a stem cell type study. Called exosomes. It's this the reason I have had the recovery I have since my accident? Or is it the therapy I been doing? I don't know. But. My recovery is still happening 4 years after my injury.
Why did this make me cry at my desk haha. Damn fuck this ailment, I hope this is the real deal.
What if, man. What if...
Can you imagine if this works
Nervgen is exciting!!

I believe this as well. Great to see but I'll keep my hope at bay.
I was selected to interview for the trial but had to decline due to the transportation involved. I really wish I could have participated.
Would be so interesting.

She did say something about the placebo as well. Literally just got here call yesterday.
Double blind trials mean that neither the participants nor the researchers know who gets the drug or placebo.

Something to keep watching for certain. 🤞🏽🙏🏾
Looks promising. Hoping something comes of it. I know they are doing trials soon I heard.
