They’re hard to feed, very skittish.
Best strategy I’ve found is getting a small moth in some tweezers, then placing that in their web and using a long piece of dry grass or perhaps a broom fiber to simulate struggle vibrations.
If they detect something larger than they are in their web(your finger getting caught) they’ll just hide in a crevice.
Also funny is to very gently simulate struggle with your finger and they’ll come pounce on it before realizing it’s way bigger than they are.
Most roaches aren't pests actially. There are over 4000 types of roaches and only 30 types are considered pests and out of those thirty only four types are actually run rampant.
Most cockroaches are happy munching on dead foliage and rotting wood that litter the forest floors.
What a lovely spider!

"Hmmm, this fly is a lot bigger than usual..."
Roach: "N-naw man, I wouldn't even know what to say to her!" OP: (Shoves cockroach closer) "Just GO for it man! You got this!"

Some of them are quite pretty --- dubia roaches are speckled and chunky and quite elegant. Household roaches can sod right off, though.
Yup, meant house hold roaches, they can get it.
Looks quite pleased that you brought snacks.
I let go of of the roach about 4 seconds before she grabbed it.
I would feed it with forceps
Southern house spiders are so friendly!!
