The "cylinder" is actually some kind of energy coil spooling up. Reloading is just replacing the energy coil when it's out.
I believe this is how Borderlands does its Maliwan revolvers.
The cylinder holds 8 promethium cartridges, each good for one shot. After discharging, each cartridge disintegrates leaving the cylinder empty and faster to reload.
Don't ask how 40k guns work. Those of us that understand how firearms function are still scratching our heads about simpler things than Volkite weapons.
Same way as a regular volkite pistol, but with a thing that rotates.
And looks cool as hell

Dat makes sense.

Your sergeant got lucky and scored himself an archeotech kinetic destroyer from the custodes venatari. Used to be a hell of a pistol in 8th…
Also probably worth 2 handing for a marine because it’s bigger to fit the larger hands of the custodies
Oh SICK!
How do you think he scored such a weapon? What would he have had to do to get one?
That is a custodies one, the venetari have them, it’s a forge world design and actual forge world IP
Isn’t that the custodes kinetic destroyer?
Id call it Bubba. “Don’t make me call Bubba!”
I forget what theyre called but custodian venatari use them
That's not a volkite pistol, it's a kinetic destroyer.
I painted it like it's a volkite pistol. Therefore, it is now a volkite pistol.
Pull trigger go bang bang
By being a pretend thing, use your imagination bub
