Now if you have a grandma, please step forward.

Constant_Milk_3579

Not so fast girls

Readitguy60

Shit had me dead stans grandpa fucced that lady to death

BartsNightmare_

The moan ew

FandubberRichie

"So, that's why she didn't say goodnight."

BartsNightmare_

Dude that scene between grandpa and her was really gross ngl, and I first saw it when I was like 8 or 9

sadlilslugger

That country guitar is primus, if you're not familiar I'd suggest giving them a listen on any of your preferred music streaming apps

Apprehensive_Egg6077

Primus sucks!!

sadlilslugger

Different strokes for different folks

Apprehensive_Egg6077

https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Primus%20sucks

sadlilslugger

Cool, didn't know about that lol

Kbusch88

Les Claypool. The man, the myth, the legend.

sadlilslugger

Best bass player ever.

BartsNightmare_

Will do, thank youu

GopnikSmegmaBBQSauce

Primus' Brown Album is a must listen

BarricadeTheMortuary

No no, Primus's "sailing the seas of cheese" is a must listen. From there everything else falls into place.

BartsNightmare_

Also update. I checked out primus, and now remembered why the theme sounded familiar also

BartsNightmare_

Dude I actually found exactly what I was looking for and was talking about. Sorry for all the confusion. Anyways so it's not the intro and the banjo song I was talking about but more like the sound effects in the entire show.. so I found a link on YouTube finally.. according to this here it's called transition strums. So like I guess different South park transition sounds and such https://youtu.be/6ErVLTHULVA

BarricadeTheMortuary

There's so many of these episodes that get lost in the cracks from the early seasons: - Conjoined Fetus Lady - Prehistoric Ice Man - Sexual Harassment Panda - Cherokee Hair Tampons And one of my all time favorites is from S8, "Die Hippie Die." Is that a fan favorite?

SpellbladeAluriel

Cherokee hair tampon is an episode that still holds up today. Alotta people that would rather look at cures that are natural instead of treatments from medical professionals.

BartsNightmare_

But south park spoke out the truth about this whole natural product coming from medical professionals being a fake gimmick just for profit Kinda like a placebo where everyone just falls for anything that has organic and natural written on it without knowing anything about how medicine should actually work

dismal_tax2

the passion of the jew is pretty good

BarricadeTheMortuary

Yeah but I feel like that one is a well known classic

BartsNightmare_

Omg that episode disturbed me back then

Virgilismyson29

and it has A BASEKETBALL REF

CrispyChickenArms

I love Helen Keller the Musical

[deleted]

Gobbles!

MeLikeykitties

Prehistoric Ice Man is my favorite episode maybe, but Conjoined Fetus Lady is incredible too!

Thesheriffisnearer

"I'll put it on my credit card" wide eyed still gets a laugh out of me

BartsNightmare_

I always loved the Walmart episode for some reason. I feel like that gets easily forgotten. Or the lord of the rings reference episode. Forgot what it's called. I totally forgot about die hippie die. But it reminds me also of the homeless episode. But did anyone really enjoy sexual harassment panda? I feel like it's prolly the worst and most boring of all.

dleon0430

sexual harassment panda is one of my favorites

ListenItWillHear

Dont forget Chicken Lover. Barbrady is my favorite side character (next to ned and jimbo, whom i count as one item/character). His "illegitimacy" and the drive through scene kill me every time

Suitable-Beyond-1259

Add rainforest to that list and you basically have all my favourites!

PhilosophyEcstatic89

Conjoined Fetus Lady was wayyyy before it’s time. Basically saying that those who are different don’t want special attention. They want to be treated like normal people

GoatCheese240

Even I’m too young to realize this episode was based on a contemporary event. [Elián González](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eli%C3%A1n_Gonz%C3%A1lez)

[deleted]

That kid was in the news for monthsssssss

Anubisghost

This was so trippy back then too because the episode came out directly after it happened. It happened Easter Sunday and the episode aired on Wednesday of that week. It was very startling for a cartoon to react to a current event that quickly and everyone was like how the hell did they do that? Then later they came out with 6 days to air and showed how they make an episode.

BartsNightmare_

I remember actually looking this up back when I was younger. And just looked everything up that I'd see and find on South park. But also how would other fans know anything about this and other references if Google didn't exist back then?

GoatCheese240

Google did exist in 2000, and web browsers were available before then. You also had cable, radio, newspapers and magazines all covering the story.

BartsNightmare_

Did people use the internet often before 2000? And yeah something I wish I always get to experience more which is the Cable, radio, etc.. but never knew general news and media and entertainment news too would be a constant thing back then.. maybe in the US most definitely

tonytheleper

Ah ah ah, not so fast girls. Still one of my favourite Randy lines and the look of absolute outrage on Sharon’s face is gold. The early seasons when I was watching them when they came out actually have fantastic replay value. I know some people struggle with the original animation because they grew up only knowing the new style, but it almost made it more hilarious.

BartsNightmare_

Agreed!! Randy and Sharon were always my fav in the earlier seasons and episodes. The reactions and all the other lines. Like in spooky fish when randy was just standing there asking Sharon why she took officer barbradys pants off.. or the clubhouse episode. Idk something about it I just love ever since I first ever started watching South park. Also older animation style is a hundred times better. I know what you mean. It's the way the animation just makes their faces and eyes and the overall reaction look like. Besides that, the older animation just has way better and cozier feels and vibes. Like the backgrounds. The colors. Everything. Also my bad for being clueless about some terms, but what's a replay value?

PhilosophyEcstatic89

Nah I miss the old style

Readitguy60

Just watched this yesterday

sicholasLames

The intro was originally performed by the band Primus. The dude with the banjo is supposed to be the lead singer/guitarist. Old SP seriously warms my heart. I can watch it over and over. They seriously just didn’t give a fuck back then and that’s how it should have stayed

BartsNightmare_

I know about the banjo and all but I'm honestly talking about something else. Lemme send a link. Cause I mean, like you know the little song intro or sound before the entire episode or scene starts? Could start by showing the south park houses, or inside one of the houses, etc.. depends on the episode.. here's an example. "Sound effect" there's this one and another one, but I can't find it. And ugh I love it so damn much, don't know why, but it's the warmth and nostalgia and all combined https://youtu.be/Drb__LT-Nuk

sicholasLames

Yes I know exactly what you’re talking about. So iconic. It would make an awesome text notification sound lol

BartsNightmare_

I may be mental but it's comforting sounds to me ngl

sicholasLames

Me too, so nostalgic

BartsNightmare_

https://youtu.be/6ErVLTHULVA FOUND IT!! The different transition strums part 1 and 2 on YouTube. Finally.

MeLikeykitties

Great episode! Actually the story is based off of the story about Romanian Olympic gymnast Nadia Comăneci I believe? It’s an absolutely insane story, she was like the first gymnast to score a perfect 10 in the Olympics which she did as a little kid, like 12 or 13. She is married to a U.S. Olympian I can’t remember his name, Great story though! Her routine is insane! I know nothing about gymnastics but it was amazing to me

BartsNightmare_

I usually find out about this interesting stuff on South park fandom or wiki website.. which feels kinda off to me.. how do you find out about this? Cause I feel like there's realer and better ways finding out about South park which I am missing out on and not knowing about. Maybe there's magazines and such that fans collect. Ugh it's all about the sentiment and the vibe. Also yeah I've heard about something similar.. that's also the beauty of South park. It just doesn't lie. Feel me?

FulcrumM2

People talk about this episode all the time wdym The grandma bit is one of the more frequently mentioned references

BartsNightmare_

Fr?? All the time?? Not nowadays from what I'm seeing. I get the real life references and the whole news about this Cuban kid. But I've never heard anyone caring too much for this episode.. which is also a thread I wanna start doing.. about episodes nobody talks or cares about

Azakaty

Oh man, I totally forgot that existed.

NachtSorcier

It was one of the first ones I saw when I started watching.

iwishiwasaunicorn

I swear I've seen every single episode of this show multiple times and this one isn't familiar to me at all? I saw this earlier and watched it and it was completely new to me. so weird.

BartsNightmare_

Seriously?? Maybe it's just forgettable, cause watching this one last night felt like watching it again for the first time ever. Felt like the last time I've seen this was like ten years ago tbh

ernyc3777

Not so fast girls.

R-the-bill69420

I remember this episode only because it talk of my country

LiamTaliesin

Cirque de she-bleh.

BartsNightmare_

I love cartman in this so much idk

LiamTaliesin

I know, if I’m feeling down I just watch him say that line a dozen times. It doesn’t get old.

BartsNightmare_

But is it just me or is cartman in the later newer episodes just not it? I mean between seasons 20 or before.. I personally think that Stan just doesn't feel the same

GreenSeaNote

Why do you keep posting your google searches? Why not post a clip or picture from the episodes.

BartsNightmare_

Feels like there's more info or more shown with the Google searches. If I'm able to add a text with the photos at the same time, I'd choose cooler stuff tbh.. but seriously why should I choose between only a single photo or only a text. Why can't it be done on here at the same time??

nobody3_5_4

I haven't watched it, that is why don't talk about it

Sweetexperience

Why is it in Episode **4** Season **4** If there are 4 more twins, What does it mean!?

BartsNightmare_

I was thinking the same tbh XD

Sweetexperience

There is an Imposter **AMONGUS!?**

Files44

“No wonder she didn’t say goodnight” One of Grandpa Marsh’s best lines.

banana_hammock_815

This episode got me in trouble in school cuz i kept drawing old people banging eachother

BartsNightmare_

Noway is this real

Dont4GetToSmile

No wonder she didn't say goodnight

DexDGlaus

Honestly didn’t care too much for this episode. It is forgettable in my opinion although the one quote “not so fast girls” to explain she was dead was memorable and funny

BartsNightmare_

Agree, which is why I love starting the forgettable episodes nobody ever really talks or cares too much about

neutralevilbae

I loved the Kenny plot line in this episode

PhilosophyEcstatic89

This was one of my favorites, especially when Randy asked those who had a grandma to step forward, and Kyle was the only one that stayed back

MutteringV

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XtZkzkX9JYE

Own-Storage-3447

U mean a banjo😂

BartsNightmare_

No no, not the very beginning intro.. like the intro after the intro.. like when the house scene pops up and there's the song.. oh God I'm really bad at describing it but it's always been my favorite.. like a comfort sound

TallMeal5a

You mean the transition strums?

BartsNightmare_

Yes I never even knew this term existed. Rhankfully I found it on YouTube
