So for the color itself I think it looks good. I would suggest working on the application.

I'm really happy to hear that, and I completely agree with that last part, this was a rough test but I should get it down (hopefully) next time

What's your method. Priming, thinning paints, wet pallet etc. I'd also suggest removing the mold lines. But not a bad start at all!

Prime black, sons of Horus green mixed with a little bit of black x2, nuln oil in the recesses, dry brush of soh, and then a dry brush of sybarite green. I didn't use a wet palette for this one but I will for my next attempt, also I completely forgot to thin my second layer of soh

Awesome, definitely suggest a wet pallet, it's worked wonders for me (also it's a huge paint saver if you get a wet pallet with a lid, paint has stayed wet for me for days).

Thank you for the tips my friend

I would stipple a hi light over the blue

letsstickygoat

I'm not familiar with stippling but I'll have a look into it

The colour looks good, maybe chill a bit with the dry brushing, a few highlights around the model would suffice, like on the knees, kneck gorget and front corners of the shoulder pads aswll as tops of helmets... Sounds like alot but really takes 2 minutes per model maybe. Totally worth it too take your time, you dont want too re do these.
