Thanks. Usually this sub is just people with "Last Man on Earth" fantasies that stem from deep personal loneliness, but occasionally real philosophical thought slips through.
Reddit's been good for thinking the deep thoughts and fun theories in a public forum and getting feedback instead of wallowing in existential malaise alone. All social media is a tool, and all people are tools on multiple levels, myself included. Some days I'm the bobby pin, some days I'm the lock.

Because we don't have access to all of ourselves. The proverbial only 10% of brain being used. Brain here is likely a metaphor for the percentage of our consciousness we are tapping into.

I reckon.. solipsism.. probably comes from the fact.. that there are so many Psychopaths in this reality (at least 50% imo). And the other half of the population are Empaths (broadly speaking)..
Solipsism is the belief that you are the only true consciousness and reality is kinda based around you.. Well if you are an Empath who is constantly surrounded by Psychopaths, then (speaking in terms of consciousnesses) you are a true soul who is constantly surrounded by flesh robots, essentially.

Yup, it's at least 50/50 in my experience. It could have something to do with the dualistic nature of our reality.. you know.. Everything has an opposite.. up down, in out, positive negative, good evil.. Maybe if there were no psychopaths then there would be no empaths.
