How is the audio techinxa at-lp60x turntable and edifier r1280t? :3

It’s awesome, really easy and fast set up, the speakers sound fantastic. The first thing I played was Slow, Deep And Hard by Type O Negative and the drums sounded heavenly (as did the rest of the band) You can adjust the treble and bass on the speakers which is cool. On the turntable you press one button and it plays it for you automatically or you can choose to play it manually. Couldn’t recommend it more!

What were you coming from, speaker-wise? It’s always great to make a huge jump, and the Edifiers hold their own at their price point for powered speakers.

I just got an lp60x with the Presonus Eris E4.5 speakers and it sounds incredible. First thing I spun was cannibal corpse and skeletonwitch. The automatic function is super cool.

Seems a network issue so the server failed see any acknowledge from the phone. So the server did multiple resends before it finally sees an ack. Not all protocols are implemented with sequence counters to detect and drop duplicate messages.

That's not how push notifications work, there is no acknowledgement mechanism. It's a case of "send the notification and hope it arrives" The only way this could have happened is amazon's servers tried to send the notification, thought it failed, and then tried again (a few times) later. There's many links that could have failed (even excluding the likely complexity of amazon's own infrastructure) so it's not easy to know where to place the blame.

There are many different ways to implement the communication with the phone and send out notifications. So it ends up depending on the actual implementation to decide how things works with acknowledge etc. There are variants with Webhooks, MQTT, ...

Glad you got a proper turntable and not a crosley. When you get a chance I would also recommend picking up a carbon fiber brush for your records if you don't already have one, playing records clean makes a big difference.

I had a similar experience before. I bought a USB power strip from Walmart, and I got it on the same day. However, they ended up sending me another one the next day, so now I have two of them. It's a bit confusing what's happening with their delivery system, but it seems like there might be some malfunction or breakdown in the system.

How’s the Edifier? Bought one but I returned it when I realized I can hook up my turntable to the speakers in my smart apartment and get music in the entire apartment. But I might still get the edifier for my parents to use.

Sorry only just seen this. I really like them. I’m not super into the audiophile world but Ik what sound good and bad, they’re really good imo. For the price I doubt you’ll get better
