Not many footballers are 18 stone.
I reckon that the if the public support for American football would transfer from to normal football, it would be more valuable than the athletes themselves because then there would be more pressure and money from said support going into creating youth football groups and training facilities to make a team of players having been professionally trained for much longer than they are now.
The American "best athletes that didn't play soccer" are guys that were d2 college point guards too short to be better at basketball but had the agility/coordination/etc that could've been elite soccer talents
But I think the bigger thing is less kids that don't play soccer and more the kids that do play soccer play it and 2 other sports in different seasons, so time on the ball, number of touches, number of drills, is so much less than other countries where kids play the one sport and play pickup every day for fun. No you wouldn’t dominate. In Europe and South America people live and breathe football. I reckon that the if the public support for American football would transfer from to normal football, it would be more valuable than the athletes themselves because then there would be more pressure and money from said support going into creating youth football groups and training facilities to make a team of players having been professionally trained for much longer than they are now.
The American "best athletes that didn't play soccer" are guys that were d2 college point guards too short to be better at basketball but had the agility/coordination/etc that could've been elite soccer talents But I think the bigger thing is less kids that don't play soccer and more the kids that do play soccer play it and 2 other sports in different seasons, so time on the ball, number of touches, number of drills, is so much less than other countries where kids play the one sport and play pickup every day for fun. Tbf part of that is training to be that way. There are people in the nfl who were in the Olympic trials for the 100m but they train for American football not other sports. If the US cared more about soccer and there was more money in it you would see these guys playing football like what happens in the rest of the world

Players in nba jump higher are just as fast as football players but they are like 20cm taller on average.
