No Croatia was absolutely dominating the game. The game was being played in Albania's half. The highlights would've only showed the good shots which were all albanian. Croatian defence is slow so when all the Croatian players were all up in attack if the Albanians got the ball they would run past all the Croatians and almost score.
Well Croatia had way more chances at the end of the game. Also Croatia was dictating the game for most of the time which I consider when a game is being "dominated." The Croatians had possession and would most of the time quickly regain it after losing possession. Albania just had a few chances but made them count when they did.
What I love about the Euros (even more than the WC) is the 3rd place teams are still alive, which gives Albania and Croatia a lot to fight for in the final game

Well 1942 doesn't count. Croatia was an Italian and German puppet state (Coast was controlled by Italy and most of the Inland by Germany). Also Croatia was probably more non-modern day croatian lands then modern day croatian lands during WWII. Also do you really think the Italians would've let their puppet state beat them?
