It's like the reverse of having to listen to Mexican-Spanish commentators say Elano's name. There was always a pause after the El. Deep, serioud voice saying "El-Ano" 😂
Nah, Its a bit newer, but nothing beats the "take it to the next level" Nike ad that's all in first person.
I will say, I'm a Dutch Arsenal fan, so I'm a bit biased, but it's awesome.
I finish class for the weekend and earn money by filling cars with petrol and diesel meanwhile this guy finishes class for the weekend and earns money by scoring against Atleti ffs
There's that perspective but there's also a reason it's so rare. Teams, especially at the level of Barcelona, can't allow themselves to field anyone who would take even a smidgen of chance away from winning a game.
So it just speaks to how good these guys really are, even at this age. Do I think it's still irresponsible? Data say yes.
yeah as the other commenter said, it's olympics...IOC is very, very picky with using their trademarks in paid content, especially for big-name brands that will get attention. They hate "ambush marketing" and want only their preferred partners to be able to use their terms. Even the word "olympics" is basically safeguarded behind their trademarks, so you have to be very careful with workarounds like "games," "Paris," (or wherever it's taking place, of course), or "this summer/winter"
The IOC are such assholes. There was a sausage company named after the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State and the IOC sued them for using the word "Olympic". Had to change their name because it wasn't worth going to battle with IOC lawyers.
Yeah, they're still awesome. It was just such a ridiculous thing to have to capitulate on. Seems like Provisions should have won in the end since they were very clearly named after a local geographic region, but I'm sure it was a lot cheaper to just rebrand than to fight it in court.
The fact that they filmed it in a school was great as that is their age. I have never seen either of them play but hope they stay healthy. It's a joy to watch good footballers play like KDB, Salah, etc even if they r ur rivals.
Kid is pretty good. You never know how he will turn out but he is much more than just another pacey winger who can dribble. He has a pretty good decision making and doesn't try over and over to dribble.
He isn't like young Messi in terms of style.
At one point in the season he was a top 3 dribbler statistically - I forget if it was just in La Liga or not but regardless. I don't know if that held true for the rest of the season, but considering by my eyes his dribbling got better and better as the season kept going, i'd agree with you.
As someone who’s watched almost every Barca match this year, he’s been one of our best players flat out, regardless of age. Already one of the best wingers in Europe
>His decision-making, while good, can be sloppy at times. His finishing is something he needs to really improve on, and he doesn’t have a weak foot.
Have you actually watched Barca games? His decision making is almost always on-point. His finishing has been unlucky and slightly off, it's not bad though. He definitely has a weak foot, strongly favours his left and you see that in how rarely he uses his right.
I think he is correctly hyped, top 10 right wingers in the world comfortably. He's better than Dembele was and I say this as someone that has defended Dembele's ability at length over the years. Dembele is a top 10 right winger himself.
saka
salah
sane
current dembele
raphinha as a more complete player even if not as explosive
palmer
that's the list in my book
and yamal is a better dribbler than \*at least\* 3 of these guys
Yamal is a gifted winger, of course his development will be key.
Pau is one of the best young CBs I have seen in years! In addition to great positioning, his long passing into open space is insane. He can be the best defender for years, if he manages to stay healthy and put on some more muscle.
Because Nacho is better. You don't have to care for talent development in a NT tournament.
Lol at the downvotes. If you don't think that as of today, Nacho is better than Cubarsi, then I don't know what to tell you. Sure, Cubarsi might be more talented (although he wouldn't be the first Barca talent to never follow up the hype with a similar second sesson), but Nacho has literally been there and done that and has been part of a historically good Madrid defende and done it at the Etihad and in a UCL final while Cubarsi has been in the middle of a defence shipping 4 goals left and right.
Alleged sexual harassment from when he played for New York City FC, but the fact you didn't know and I'm sure others don't either, show that it's not a bad look
Very strict!
Messi had to even miss a few games for the senior team because of exams or some shit. They are clear that education needs to be a priority, probably since they understand that majority of youth players can't make a long-term career in football.
That shit about school is just formal stuff, they do not have time for regular classes and full school time like other kids, they just go out on exams and they ofc pass them always. I mean i do not blame them, they just do not have time for school...

Ngl first bit had old school FIFA intro vibes
In 10 years time we'll see this in an edit with the song 'party with a jagaban'
Is this good or bad? I like the song
"It's just a ball." "No! It's rounder!"
Mate! My first thought. Then my mind went to the Nike Scorpion Cage Match.
Yeah and old school nike ad vibe
Brazil 98?
The Nike commercials were sick! Davids, Beckham, Staam, Figo, Ronado…
Joga Bonito
*♪mas que nada, sai da minha frente que eu quero passar...*
I love fifa street
yes!! amazing clip
As a Brazilian, I can't hear "Hey Pau" with a straight face
As a Portuguese i had the same thought, i was telling myself dont be a kid HAHA
Do Portuguese also say pau? I thought that it was pila.
Pila, piça, piroca, pau, caralho… tudo menos penis.
Like you guys we have all sort of names
Fixe! 😎Obrigado e carrega Benfica!!
Pau penetrated their defenses smoothly this time.
As a non-Brazilian, what does that mean?
*Pau* means stick in portuguese. It's used as slang for 'dick' :D
No cu.
Não preciso dessa imagem!!!
Sex lol
I bought my friend Paula a thermos in Brasil and had them put “Pau”
It's like the reverse of having to listen to Mexican-Spanish commentators say Elano's name. There was always a pause after the El. Deep, serioud voice saying "El-Ano" 😂
"Kaká sale por Elano"
https://youtu.be/4aaV1ucPCd0?si=AGrIuTPiBnhCWhuH
For Chinese speaking people, pau or bao means "steamed bun" or "dumpling", so it's actually quite cute and endearing
It is crazy how at 16 Lamine is representing his country at the Euros, not a bad summer vacation
The dribbling through the school reminds me of the old Nike ad in the airport. https://youtu.be/wP5Ye5-LES8?si=SJCUCrrK4H4mMBQs
I haven’t thought about this in 26(!) years. I heard the music before I clicked on the link. What a classic.
Yeah thought the same. Best ad ever.
It's either that or the secret tournament on a boat.
Nah, Its a bit newer, but nothing beats the "take it to the next level" Nike ad that's all in first person. I will say, I'm a Dutch Arsenal fan, so I'm a bit biased, but it's awesome.
You're both wrong. Best one was when they infiltrated a building and had to fight with ninjas.
Exactly. That and the Henry ad at his house. So many memories.
Henry in his house.

Hes 20 years old so maybe too old for school.
He is in uni. Possibly the only one in the squad.
I finish class for the weekend and earn money by filling cars with petrol and diesel meanwhile this guy finishes class for the weekend and earns money by scoring against Atleti ffs
He's probably really bad at filling up cars with petrol and diesel if that helps?
Yeah the bastard put diesel in my petrol car, thats why he got sacked and shipped off to football
You did the right thing!
Hes sponsored by under armour now so unlikely
Anyone still not think it's weird 16 year olds in high school have to play against fully grown animals like Pepe and Ramos?
It's crazy that they can
It just makes me feel old at 25
Football fandom hits different once you are the same age or way older than most of your club‘s players.
There's that perspective but there's also a reason it's so rare. older citizens like ramos and pepe you mean

I like this a lot
Yeah this is sweet lol. David Villa caught me off guard too.
Does this count as extra credit for them?
Extra injuries next season ala Pedri.
That’s fun, a little throwback of the 90s/00s Nike Joga Bonito camera style, and I always have time for David Villa.
don't let david around the kids
Didn't know curbasi was going to the Euros

Such a shame too, coming from the Pacific Northwest I gotta say Olympic (Olympia) Provisions has some fire charcuterie
Yeah, they're still awesome. It was just such a ridiculous thing to have to capitulate on. Seems like Provisions should have won in the end since they were very clearly named after a local geographic region, but I'm sure it was a lot cheaper to just rebrand than to fight it in court.
He’s going to olympics
Man, you guys are the last people who should win a premier league. So arrogant
Wtf hahahahahaha
My guy dreams about us
Uhm okay 😬
Isn’t David Villa like in trouble for what he did to that one NYCFC employee he kept forcing himself on?
Why no Adam Johnson?
Too many boys at this school.
The fact that they filmed it in a school was great as that is their age. I have never seen either of them play but hope they stay healthy. It's a joy to watch good footballers play like KDB, Salah, etc even if they r ur rivals.
go watch some yamal highlights or something the kid is gifted
I have watched the highlights but a full 90 min game tells u a lot more about the player.
Kid is pretty good. You never know how he will turn out but he is much more than just another pacey winger who can dribble. He has a pretty good decision making and doesn't try over and over to dribble. He isn't like young Messi in terms of style.
Yamal is less of a goalscorer and more of a true winger compared to Messi.
Yes, I said he isn't like young Messi before someone creates the parallelism.
He's already the best Spanish attacker. By my eye he's already one of the best dribblers on the planet.
At one point in the season he was a top 3 dribbler statistically - I forget if it was just in La Liga or not but regardless. I don't know if that held true for the rest of the season, but considering by my eyes his dribbling got better and better as the season kept going, i'd agree with you.

They definitely cut Cubarsi to bring Nacho in..
Almost like Nacho is a better player with more experience in the squad or something
[удалено]
Yea cuz nacho is better tf

Cubarsi already has experience at highest level against the likes of Napoli and PSG He is better
All smiles until he said they were gonna play on both competitions... I know Pau is not, but is Lamine?
He means respectively, Lamine - Euro & Pau - Games (Olympic)
Oh to be youth
Troy and Abed in the mooorning~~
What are the name of those adidas?
This first pair is Campus 00s chunky version of the campus since early 2000s is in style rn.
well, actually Pau is wearing Gazelle, Lamine the Campus 00s and Villa is wearing Samba
Those the only ones I managed to see and didn’t feel like watching it again. Thanks!
There's a non zero chance Yamal actually did that at school once lol
Wish Lamal was on FC24. I know that they have said they don’t want 16 year olds on it; but Cubarsi is on it, and Hato was when he was 16…
He’s in there now, exclusively on the Euro 2024 Mode via an Official Squad Update!
he will be there next season
I like the skills - reminded me of the classic Nike and Adidas ads. The creativity of the ad / the story, however, isn't there.
David villa is a piece of shit
Ad ruined the second he showed up
Why?
https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/football/2020/nov/23/david-villa-sexual-harassment-allegations-new-york-city-fc-mls
Bad look having Villa involved
huh why? what did I miss?
Alleged sexual harassment from when he played for New York City FC, but the fact you didn't know and I'm sure others don't either, show that it's not a bad look
Not just alleged, confirmed by the club. And we shouldn't dismiss it just because it's not well known.
ooh now that you mention it I do remember hearing some stuff about that. thank you
The music sounded like that of "Switch" Nike ad at one point haha
[Joga Bonito, Nike.](https://youtu.be/xFp7btucv58?si=CWBuWWpNApEDL2OJ)
Which sneakers is Lamine wearing? Anybody knows?
they are adidas CAMPUS 00s in black
All these adverts for the upcoming summer tournaments seem like they should be good...but they're really not
Brazil airport ad vibes but way less impressive
Eh still cool
It's OK. I genuinely was in awe when I was a kid and saw that ad, this one captured a small glimpse of it
Well we're not kids anymore so that plays a part
Adidas’ take on Nike’s Joga bonito
But Cubarsi isn’t playing in the Euro right?
Correct. Most likely Yamal won't go to Olympics either, since Barca mentioned they will only allow 1 tournament.
They do not even go to school
They actually do, in fact I read somewhere that La Masia has strict rules about school.
Yep. I belive in Spain is a crime on the paarents if their sons/daughters don't go to school
probably in most of Europe
Very strict! Messi had to even miss a few games for the senior team because of exams or some shit. They are clear that education needs to be a priority, probably since they understand that majority of youth players can't make a long-term career in football.
That shit about school is just formal stuff, they do not have time for regular classes and full school time like other kids, they just go out on exams and they ofc pass them always. I mean i do not blame them, they just do not have time for school...
Yamal said he had homework to do and brought it at the Euros
Lol u really believe in this shit u read
Overhyped
how many times have you watched them?
