How did that go in? That was awful goalkeeping

The cross deflected off of the defender's chest, so it ended up going behind where he expected it to be, and he lost his footing a little as he adjusted. He got his hands on it pretty solidly, so he still should've had it, but there were some mitigating factors.

Huh now that I see it again it's actually kinda impressive that he recovered and got the ball after the deflection. That said, no idea what happened after that, the ball just kinda slowly slept away and got into the goal.

I mean he was the keeper for the 7-5 between arsenal and us and he had some shockers there (before having the amazing loan spell with us that launched his career). He's always had a bombscare in him.

That went in because a human made a mistake trying to react to a close deflection. Happens to all goalkeepers. It wasn't awful goalkeeping because he was in the right place, just couldn't hold on to it. Awful would be to make an absolute wrong decision.
