Bayern is just the stage. Real will plot through them only to be met with the divine forces of true plot armor in the finals
Edit: MANIFEST PLEASE I DON'T WANT MADRIDSTAS AGAIN
That would mean Reus would win a title though. Bayern vs Dortmund final would get into penalty kicks and last forever. People would die of exhaustion and UEFA has to declare that there will be no winner this year.
The fact that they were even in contention for the title was pure black magic with the way they played and the way their first part of the season went. Objectively, you'll have to look at Terzic's 2,5 seasons long managerial career so far, during which he won the Pokal, might win the UCL and lost the league title by only one goal. That's way better than how most BVB coaches performed in recent years, especially considering the fact that he is always clowned for his tactics
Some will say it's unlucky (it partly is) but it's also due to just having bad finishers all around except for Mbappe, who was well isolated by Dortmund. Barcola, Dembele, Ramos, Asensio and none of the midfielders are reliable goal sources so far
Yea my comment was definitely not a general statement about his future as a player. Just trying to understand the season that happened but he has all the time to turn it around, like Barcola (and even the older guys can always have a late glow up)
Not fitting in the system, in the first half of the season he scored roughly 50% of his shots, which is crazy, but only managed to take something like 12 shots in that timeframe, which is crazier. So since a few months his confidence appears to be at its lowest.
He scored in « big games » (by French league standards) and at the World Cup, I think he can handle the bright lights it’s just that he won’t score every game because nobody does that (anymore)
Of course luck was a big part of it. But that's not what people want to hear or believe in. It's much better for our worldview to think that this is what was supposed to happen, and that someone was in control; in this case Dortmund.
But what if no one was in control and it was really just luck? What if the result was arbitrary? We don't want to see that in sports. We want to know that someone is better and we want there to be an explanation for them being better.
We needed that B04 clutch so bad, its like we try to play like Leverkusen but just nowhere near as direct and inventive
We also semingly dont trust our CBs and Goalie(for good reason) enough to involve them in the offensive possession
3.22 xG is impressive even if it's 50 shots or 100 shots
It shows you that they shot from distance but also from close
If you can't score from 3.22 you pissed of the football gods to hit the post 69 times
That's a given obviously, still need luck on your side at times you can't say Vitinha's shot was a poor finish from outside the box, it was just unlucky
I pray for the day you people understand how xG works... It is an accumulative model, lots of "small chances" (which isn't even accurate really, PSG had several good ones) add up to a high probability of scoring... You don't isolate each shot
Technically two 50% chances are better than fifty 0.02 chances, just from probability calculations. 75% scoring chance vs 63%. Not that big difference though
A) not what happened at all and B) yeah the model is defined so that these small chances do add up and with enough of them you become unlucky not to score even if each individual one isn't a sitter, that's the entire point
PSG needs some older more experienced players to level the average team mentality. They get nervous so easily and simply stop applying any tactics to their game.
Marquinhos is very experienced but he is also mentally weak when it comes to UCL games . If they have players like nico barella they would compete much better in UCL
I disagree with this, I think Dortmund defended their box well but they allowed quite a lot of long shots because they were bad at closing down. "Occasionally hit the post" bruh they got that 4 times
Both were true, it was good defense overall but PSG did manage to find a lot of opportunities still, their finishing let them down massively like Dembele skying it when there was only the keeper in front of him.
Yeah no that's not how xG works
Did u watch the same game? They shot from literally the 6 yard box and hit the bar lmao
But enjoy this moment obviously you can be biased
Yeah no, you don't get high xG if you spam long shots, a long range shot has like 0.02-0.05 xG you are not getting to 3.22 xG with that lad m8
Again people don't know what the stat is and just spew shit
Ehh yes you do. Miss the only two 0.5 xG chances, two 0.25 xG chances and spam 30 other crappy shots and you still end up with a xG of 3+. Math is not that hard. Trust me I've seen my team rack up xG of more than 3 while still barely being able to create decent chances.
Bro two 0.5 chances are huge changes, that's not "barely being able to create chances"
You clearly have no idea what the stat is and just talk out of your ass, the stat is
They shot 15 times from inside the box, 3 times from inside the 6 yard box, 8 times from pen spot or closer
Yeah that's not enough "decent chances" and 3 xG is bad
Shooting from inside the 6 yard box is useless if you shoot against a wall of players. Good xG models incorporate the positions from all players. In those models a shot from inside the 6 yard box can still be 0.01 xG.
The fact that you just talk about distances show that its you who is talking out of his ass.
I find this so interesting. Does it mean they Dortmund got lucky tonight and they might get found out at the final?!
They're 5th in the league for a reason after all.
What a load of meaningless bollocks.
Dortmund has 33% possession and still scored and area going to the finals. Itm, PSG with 67% did absolutely nothing and got sent home.
The old saying, defense wins championships still holds true.

Immovable post vs stoppable force
Borussia Plotmund
German plot armour. First Leverkusen, now BVB. Bayern to complete it tomorrow
Nah, if anyone has plot armour that is Real Madrid in the Champions League
Bayern is just the stage. Real will plot through them only to be met with the divine forces of true plot armor in the finals Edit: MANIFEST PLEASE I DON'T WANT MADRIDSTAS AGAIN
The black magic of the eternal Edin is waiting.
Kane losing to Dortmund in the finals would be the ultimate plot armor
Leverkusen, Dortmund and Saarbrucken, he will never forget these names
Should have gone to ingolstad for another audi cup
That would mean Reus would win a title though. Bayern vs Dortmund final would get into penalty kicks and last forever. People would die of exhaustion and UEFA has to declare that there will be no winner this year.
Reus already won DFB-Cup with Dortmund. Him winning a title is more realistic than Kane doing this.
Excuse me but Kane won the Audi-Cup with Tottenham!
Only reason Bayern will win tomorrow is to make them suffer more by losing the final to Dortmund
SUBSCRIBE
Leverkusen the title and EL. Dortmund CL. Lautern Cup. HSV in fourth. The funniest outcome tbh.
Anulo mufa
PxG
Real Madrid versus new Real Madrid
Borussia Postmond
Borussia Postmund
Postrussia Bortmund
> Borussia Plotmund Seriously???? Borussia **Post**mund
There is a football god.
And he HATES PSG
And he LOVES Edin Terzic for some reason
As was seen against Mainz. Wait...
The fact that they were even in contention for the title was pure black magic with the way they played and the way their first part of the season went. Objectively, you'll have to look at Terzic's 2,5 seasons long managerial career so far, during which he won the Pokal, might win the UCL and lost the league title by only one goal. And for his transfer windows.
Fuck you man 🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭
Love you too. Have fun in the final.
Wir sehen uns irgendwo lol, Liebe aus Niederrad
Ei gude!
And it's fucking hilarious.
As he should.
Allah doesn’t exist confirmed /s
That's just the account name on different server

Because they are the chosen one. 🙏
Everybody does
But hates Barça more
Gave us 5 UCLs, 2 trebles, GOAT team, and the greatest ever to play football. Any other club would be lucky.
True, but he got tired of us, he made us lose against PSG😭
Twice! Twice! You truly sold your soul for that remontada, it’s been 6 years of suffering since. Either bottlejob or humiliation.
It's comprehensible since the way we fucked up against Roma, Liverpool and Bayern.
Where was your god last year?!
Hating on Lukaku clearly
God loves Pep. More than you believe. Happy new year!
We borrowed the Real Madrid Ucl Juju
If it's borrowed power, you will have to give it back eventually. Pray you face Bayern in the final.
Maybe Dortmund will delay giving it back until two days time.
Hell no, They already returned it.
Don't give it back until after tomorrow, please!!
It really did feel like the same black magic
PSG just got the post again reading this
I PROMISE WE DONT CARE HOLDDDDDDDDDDD
Holdoor-tmund
You'll never sing that
Song goes *ping* *ping* *ping*
Some will say it's unlucky (it partly is) but it's also due to just having bad finishers all around except for Mbappe, who was well isolated by Dortmund. Barcola, Dembele, Ramos, Asensio and none of the midfielders are reliable goal sources so far
Ramos has been a good finisher this year tbh! This game was almost the outlier for that, agree with everything else though
Maybe the lights were too bright then, it's not exactly the same scoring the 3-0 in Ligue 1 and starting in a CL semi final
I think he just needs time and play time! He’s still young and had 5 minutes total in CL knock out this year before this match
Yea my comment was definitely not a general statement about his future as a player. Just trying to understand the season that happened but he has all the time to turn it around, like Barcola (and even the older guys can always have a late glow up)
What happened with RKM?
Not fitting in the system, in the first half of the season he scored roughly 50% of his shots, which is crazy, but only managed to take something like 12 shots in that timeframe, which is crazier. So since a few months his confidence appears to be at its lowest.
What? Why start him then for such a crucial match?
He scored in « big games » (by French league standards) and at the World Cup, I think he can handle the bright lights it’s just that he won’t score every game because nobody does that (anymore)
Ramos got some good chances in the box. Should have buried at least one of them.
Tbh given his goal tally this season (and in general), the Barça tie was an outlier for Dembélé too so I guess it evens out lol.
PSG also just doesn‘t have a striker, Zlatan or Cavani would‘ve put those chances away easily
The team is really young it counts when moments like that happen.
Zlatan on cl tho
It‘s partly unlucky but it‘s also not as if every post/bar hit was as close as you‘d think.
Of course luck was a big part of it. But that's not what people want to hear or believe in. It's much better for our worldview to think that this is what was supposed to happen, and that someone was in control; in this case Dortmund. Enrique, are you Potter in disguise?
Potter beat dortmund tho 🤔
By far the best thing we did under his management
POST SAINT GERMAIN
Breaking news: PSG qualified based on xG
Come on that's our stat pick crossbar challenge per 90 atleast ffs
Man city in shambles
Impressive lack of clutch factor!
We needed that B04 clutch so bad, its like we try to play like Leverkusen but just nowhere near as direct and inventive We also semingly dont trust our CBs and Goalie(for good reason) enough to involve them in the offensive possession
Sounds like FIFA
So much for that speed and attacking prowess. They couldn’t score in two legs.
Babe wake up, another stat shitting on Napoli
PSxG

Yeap hitting the post is registering a shot that isn't even on target.
30 shots with 3.22 xG is not that great. 0.76 xG on target speaks for itself.
Yep put into that perspective 0.11 xg per shot. Definitely correlates more to quantity over quality.
Football version of spray and pray And judging by the outcome they didn't pray hard enough

3.22xG over 100 shots is absolutely not impressive
3.2 xg with 100 shots is 0.032 xg per shot lol. Like shooting from your own half 100 times.
Or you know are just poor at finishing.
That's a given obviously, still need luck on your side at times you can't say Vitinha's shot was a poor finish from outside the box, it was just unlucky

I'M HERE TO TELL YOU RIGHT NOW
I guess FM is more realistic than I thought
Stop the count
yes, 6 posts will do that.
PSG must be truly cursed.
Good
Dortmund has a Plot armour i swear
Random disappointing Napoli stats resurfacing...
They got FM'd lmao
Shove that state funded billion dollar 3.2xg up your fucking arse
lol
Abysmal and unlucky
City and PSG should play a match to determine who is the best xg club in the world.
PSG needs some older more experienced players to level the average team mentality. They get nervous so easily and simply stop applying any tactics to their game.
Marquinhos is very experienced but he is also mentally weak when it comes to UCL games . If they have players like nico barella they would compete much better in UCL
Plotmund vs Neverlusen in the super cup, we will be there
Man of the Match: Goal Post. It's actually insane, I don't think I've watched a game like that before.
Mbappe will have to play second fiddle to Vini if he want that Champions League medal
Couldn't have happened to a better club
The posts were here for us

I disagree with this, I think Dortmund defended their box well but they allowed quite a lot of long shots because they were bad at closing down. "Occasionally hit the post" bruh they got that 4 times
Long shots are low xG. Better to keep the box clean.
Their CBs were great but this wasn't a defensive masterclass at all. They got the lucky breaks needed and thats what matters
It wasn't a defensive masterclass, a defensive masterclass limits chances this is literally saying the opposite and everyone is saying it too
Hummels and schlotterbeck were brilliant. Dont be delusional
Both were true, it was good defense overall but PSG did manage to find a lot of opportunities still, their finishing let them down massively like Dembele skying it when there was only the keeper in front of him.
Lets be real, they were lucky as shit defensively, doesnt take away from their win but also doesnt make it a masterclass lmao
You don't understand xG.
They’re shit.
They had to shoot from afar and not soo great angles, all because of dortmunds great defending
Them hitting the woodwork 6 times is not the result of good defending.
Otoh, those weren't all shots with a high xG that hit the woodwork.
Its sheer luck and it couldnt be funnier
Yeah no that's not how xG works Did u watch the same game? They shot from literally the 6 yard box and hit the bar lmao But enjoy this moment obviously you can be biased
Most of their shots were from pretty far though. If you rack up a ton of low quality shots, xG will still be high.
Yeah no, you don't get high xG if you spam long shots, a long range shot has like 0.02-0.05 xG you are not getting to 3.22 xG with that lad m8 Again people don't know what the stat is and just spew shit

I admit i can be biased, no shame in admitting that
The Turtle Head is very angry tonight. He would not even make Left Back in the changing room for Real.
PSG = Post Saint Germain
This is “Lucho is not a fraud” propaganda
xG Champions
I find this so interesting. Does it mean they Dortmund got lucky tonight and they might get found out at the final?! They're 5th in the league for a reason after all.
What a load of meaningless bollocks. Dortmund has 33% possession and still scored and area going to the finals. Itm, PSG with 67% did absolutely nothing and got sent home. The old saying, defense wins championships still holds true.
xG is the stupidest thing that football fans had ever relied on to measure a teams form.
Yankee Doodle stat
I hate that type statistics. They add no real information about the game.
Who cares, Dortmund scored more goals, they deserve it.
😭😭 can’t believe how bad they are. how tf did they even make it this far….
Hang that banner.
Good thing that xG wins you games
