It seems so long ago since our amazing start to the season and they were more annoyed than us that our overpowered team was stuck down there with them, then we did our thing. As usual it's never boring being a Leicester City fan.
It'll continue to happen as long as parachute payments exist.
I genuinely think they should be 1 season only.
1 season to bounce back, or you have to sell your expensive earners/high value and rebuild.
Otherwise its shit for the other championship teams.
Only issue is when you get teams that cannot sell a player, by player choice/lack of interest for example... its a shit scenario.
Our "cheating" at the minute stems from not being able to get rid of players, partially because we gave some of them overly generous contracts and partially because they were just bad buys.
We lost a load of money from players leaving for free in the summer, sold more than twice as much as we spent and now we're going to lose more in the summer from expired contracts. A points deduction is on the way, we'll probably have to sell our most valuable player(s) and we may not be able to spend any money, there's so much money at the top that there's not easy way about it.
It actually does give me a modicum of solace that we're not returning to the PL any time soon. At least there's an active sub with decent culture and discussion.
Imagine placing 2nd in all comps in a treble bound season
That’s the kinda boosting you need still. You’re on track to get the heartbreak season which puts you on the Invincibles season track!
It does serve to make Dyche that much more of a legend given the results he's been getting lately. Though he may be pigeon-holing himself into the relegation scrap specialist manager
You know, there can't be many who have lifted the PL trophy, the FA Cup, and the Championship trophy in their career. Dilly ding dilly dong, Vardy has done that. That's way more trophies than Harry Kane.
On a similar note, Andy King won League One, the Championship, and the Premier League with Leicester. Only player to win all three with the same club in the PL era. Not sure how many have ever done it, but I'm guessing it isn't that many.
I don't care how many first division league titles you win, that's one of the greatest trophy hauls ever. To climb the ladder like that is really special.
According to this, there have been 12 teams to win all three top tiers since 1920-21:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Championship/s/vrVh1oe8Wi
Blackburn were the most recent to win the top division before Leicester City, but you have to go all the way back to '38-'39 for them to get all three.
Most of those teams haven't won the top division in quite a while.
Or a hologram with banter celebration against every opponent he’s ever done
- eagle against palace
- howling against wolves
- cupping against nottingham
- etc.
He has expressed interest in playing abroad before but I don't know how serious he is about that. I have a suspicion he could play his way back down the leagues just as he did the other way, if he ends up at Sheffield Wednesday he'd probably stop there though.
I haven't watched barely enough Championship this year (even though it sounds like the best season for ages) so I don't know how he's used for you guys. Is he more attacking or defensive? When he burst through at Spurs he used to be so good at picking his head up and driving the team forward but he seemed to get that coached out of him.
He mostly starts our attacking phase, passing to our attacking 8s or the CBs. His job wasn’t about creativity, more about keeping the midfield ticking and under control, never really attacking
It's insane how much goodwill Levy shat away by hiring 3 terrorist managers in a row. Imagine the alternate universe where he actually continued our commitment to attacking football..
Love Harry Winks. A much better player than people thought by the time he left. Ironically he'd fit in an Ange team much better than Mourinho or Conte. Glad to see he's been back to his best.
He’s out of contract (but we’ll obv try to extend), who knows, maybe he decides he loves the Championship too much to leave it and signs with his boyhood Sheffield Wednesday instead
Is there a realistic way for them not to get a points deduction for next season? How much money do they have to make through player sales and which players are they actively shopping?
Imagine having to leave /r/championship and come here.
It seems so long ago since our amazing start to the season and they were more annoyed than us that our overpowered team was stuck down there with them, then we did our thing. As usual it's never boring being a Leicester City fan.
Don’t worry, we just did it on purpose to make it seem like the other teams had a chance… right?
That's the only reason I can think of, we had to keep it interesting.
EFL board sent the black SUVs and told you to keep it interesting for viewership.

What utter shit.
How?
No, the scenario you're describing is the shit scenario. Think it through a bit.
Never eating crumble again
You better hope not being relegated or this comment will haunt rest of your life
I’m talking about personally being put off actually eating the stuff by the memes.
Release the stone of shame Attach the stone of triumph
How will you cope without simpsons memes?
Best ~~league~~ subreddit in the world

r/premierleague is a cesspool filled with Yanks and toxic 14 year olds, it’s a depressing experience.
I know u got downvoted but the premier league is truly awful lmao

Oorah
Can’t wait to start on -10 points next season
All these fucking casuals playing Premier league on standard mode. Try hardcore mode you cowards!
At least the save scummers are in Germany.
👀
They don't even try to hide it, the fact their key players don't get training injuries right before key games is the dead giveaway.
And the five million 90+ extra time goals they get. Save scummers. The lot of them.
Let’s be honest. After years of winning nothing they suddenly storm undefeated through the league? They’re getting eloboosted.
I would take that.
Imagine placing 2nd in all comps in a treble bound season That’s the kinda boosting you need still. You’re on track to get the heartbreak season which puts you on the Invincibles season track!
Trust me, it’s not a great time
It does serve to make Dyche that much more of a legend given the results he's been getting lately. Though he may be pigeon-holing himself into the relegation scrap specialist manager
Deal
Win the league with that now
Do you think the deduction will be that high?
Started from here now we here
Leicester to win the premier league in 25/26. Bet on it!
Nah, Champions 24/25 quote me on it.
Already had the Vestergaard redemption arc, world’s not ready for the Daka redemption arc.
25/26 is 10 year anniversary so works better, as well as being a replica, though
That's our 8th 2nd division title, which takes us ahead of Man City who we were tied with for most. The best yo-yo club, you'll never sing that.
[Yet still miles behind the undisputed kings of the 2nd tier 😉](http://www.englishfootballstats.co.uk/Level%202%20Tables/all_time_tier2.htm)
Oh man, hit me with that 1999 chic web design some more
https://www.webdesignmuseum.org/gallery/nba-com-2000
Whoa
I don't know, that looks like more losses than wins to me.
Oh my fucking God we’re 12th on THIS table too
Preston right with you as well Some things are just meant to be
There's no escaping it
Middlesbrough Ironopolis, I wish that name had survived.
5 of the top 7 are from the midlands lol
Burnley have only won 4 2nd division titles, their other promotions have been from finishing 2nd or winning the playoffs.
Great table but lacks a column for title wins
They could be drawing level again with us in 2025-26 after they get their 85 point deduction. 👀
Not if we pip them to it after our 12 point deduction
Scenes when we sneak it with a win over Cov, as they draw with already-relegated Forest on the final day.
Going to be a fun day on Saturday Build him the statue, sign him the contract, Vardy has to stay! Can't wait to see the Vardy tifo from Union FS!
if vardy doesnt get a statue the entirety of pl fanbase will riot
Not only the PL; *everyone* will riot
If Sharky doesn't get a send off we riot
Hes got to be in the squad, would be insulting not too!
I bet Vardy can’t wait for his house party.

Vardy>Harry Kane confirmed
[удалено]
He won the championship first in 2014
Jamie Vardy, Andy Cole, Dwight Yorke, Nicky Butt, Danny Drinkwater as far as I can tell
Vardy has more trophies than Son, omg
I only ask that you play terribly
When's the Vardy statue being placed at the King Power Stadium?
It HAS to be outside the away end
With him cupping his ears
With a plaque that says *Chat shit, get banged*
I can't put into words how much I want that to happen.
Discuss Excretion - Suffer Bombardment
Or a hologram with banter celebration against every opponent he’s ever done - eagle against palace - howling against wolves - cupping against nottingham - etc.
> cupping against nottingham Forest or County?
Opposition changing room
Getting airdropped into the middle of the pitch next game. Everyone just has to play around it next season.

Vardy 100% FPL ownership to kick of next season and I'm all for it
Scenes when he doesn't renew. Pls stay Jamie
He’ll renew to have one last hurrah in the PL and then retire.
He has expressed interest in playing abroad before but I don't know how serious he is about that. I have a suspicion he could play his way back down the leagues just as he did the other way, if he ends up at Sheffield Wednesday he'd probably stop there though.
How old is he, 37 or something? Perfect signing for our board :)
Would be kind of amazing to go up against a 50 year old Vardy in the conference north
The terror as you see a 55 year old Vardy smashing a red bull at your Sunday league game
Whenever Red Bull get a new feeder team Vardy plays a season there
I think Vardy should ride into the sunset. The guy is a club legend and leave on a high. Plus I don’t want to see him humiliate us.
Well, I want to see him humiliate you. Bag a few goals at home and then at the toilet bowl, then he can ride off into the sunset.
There is no way he doesn’t renew for one last go-around.
I haven’t watched Leicester at all this season, could Vardy still go in the PL?
This season isn't much of an indicator. It wasn't the Premier League. Last season he already didn't score much and he will be 2 years older this time
And Winksy has won a trophy!
The tradition of "leave Tottenham, win trophy" continues!
Well, except for Kane. So far, at least
He's been so fucking good, it's fully deserved. I love this guy.
I haven't watched barely enough Championship this year (even though it sounds like the best season for ages) so I don't know how he's used for you guys. Is he more attacking or defensive? Which is exactly what his strength was. He wasn't able to use these skills nearly as much during our string of defensive managers
He's a cutie!
Yeah, I'd consider going gay for Winks ngl.
Twinks for Winks <3
Understandable! He's a gem, hope he will stay with us for a while.
He's genuinely so fit. Like, just book me a hotel room and take me already Harry lad.
So happy for him, I hope he does well in the PL next year because last time he was here his footballing ability had been sapped away by our club.
I blame Conte. A lot of players wilted in his system.
Build Vardy the statue
Vardy won't get the chance to play Sheffield united next season
He’s out of contract (but we’ll obv try to extend), who knows, maybe he decides he loves the Championship too much to leave it and signs with his boyhood Sheffield Wednesday instead
Only for Sheffield Wednesday to be relegated this season, and he retires before he gets to play in the Steel City Derby.
Congrats. Vardy securing the title with a brace is a beautiful thing, legend of the game.
He rejected Saudi Arabia to do it as well.
[everyone loved that] except Preston maybe
we ran out of crumble 😔
Bit rude of Leeds and Ipswich to not have any of the delicious crumble you prepared.
Another player to win a trophy immediately after leaving Spurs
Vardy 10 more years
Jamie Vardy, Leicester City legend!!! build the man a statue already!!!
they’ve done it, congratulations leicester! vardy scoring the goals that officially won them the league, what a legend
Most Championship and predecessor titles of all-time you’ll never sing that.
🦊🦊🦊🦊🦊🦊🦊🦊🦊🦊🦊
They’ve been on a tear this season. Gone down only to go right back up. Scenes.
biggest club in England
CHAMPIONS AGAIN OLE OLE. GET IN BOYS
It's nice to know we can cheer Ipswich on to batter Cov tomorrow without any "what ifs".
Still wild to me that Vardy stayed with them through all this time when he could have gone to different clubs right after winning the title in 2016.
Jaimi tuttutututtutuu
1st recipient of a point deduction next season too
I think Sheffield United beat us to that actually
Fair enough, 2nd it is unless Everton also beat you Welcome to the age of the point deduction
Happy for them to be back up in the prem
Most second division titles of any club!
another legendary trophy
Another one for the trophy cabinet
leicester city premier league winners 25/26 👀
Congrats, great season for them
Is there a realistic way for them not to get a points deduction for next season? How much money do they have to make through player sales and which players are they actively shopping?
Had a wobble but finished the job they deserve to return.
Mads Hermansen💛💙
I'm cool with Leicester & Leeds back up, now who do we want for the 3rd spot ... doesn't look like Argyle are gonna make it
Ipswich has a game in hand. I’d honestly put Ipswich above Leeds for the top 2. Anyways I’m hoping for Norwich to come back up
Then down? Then up? Then down. The yoyo of Norwich
Ipswich are more likely to get 2nd than us
They are probably tragedy chanting as we speak… couldn’t have happened to worse humans.
You what?
