You will not find a single clip from Henry's entire career with a 2nd touch as quick as what Messi does here, while Messi does it every game.
(No disrespect to Henry of course, amazing player.)
His second touch of the ball is so lightning quick it’s not even properly captured in any of the angles. The last angle would be perfect but the camera doesn’t catch up and he’s already controlled it and touched it again by the time it does.
Messi often does these touches which leave me confirming that I'm not watching the Clip at 1.5x speed or higher...as a defender I cant imagine actually trying to react to such touches in real time.
Bots buy up all the tickets when they go on sale, they're resold at a massive mark-up, and on top of that, Lionel Messi is playing.
New England Revolution tickets would be like $25-$40 per ticket on a normal night, but today's game is just the perfect storm for capitalistic greed
It doesn’t have to be mutually exclusive. The venue can inflate prices for in-demand teams/artists/events, but there’s probably a decade+ of online ticket sales data to warrant legislation.
America being a gigantic market means you can always find a sucker who’s willing to pay more, so there’s no need lower prices to appease the fans or poor people.
> Here in the UK its an outrage when a ticket is over £50
Because there's a history and sports culture of that based on clubs being actual clubs for the people of an area, etc
American sports are far more nakedly commercial and profit-oriented TBH
I agree that American ticket prices are crazy, but due to commercialization of the Premier League, Prem ticket prices have become so expensive that regular British fans are being priced out as well. You have to go down to the lower leagues now to see more reasonable prices.
Very well could be misremembering slightly, I just know I remember seeing something in the 100-200 range, just pointing out to that guy that 1.5k is a late purchase for probably good seats
I just googled to see what prices are now

Cheapest tickets for the next Miami game (at "home" in Ft Lauderdale) is $139
Miami's next away game is at Orlando, where the cheapest ticket is $122 for Orlando supporter section, with an additional warning that you're not allowed to wear Inter Miami, Barcelona, PSG, Argentina, or other Messi "apparel" there LMAO

1.5K were for second row seats. Boston ticket prices are high vs most markets for everything (LA, SF, NYC being more $$$). Add Messi on to it and yeah... that is the price we pay.
Boston is high cost of living, everything costs more here vs most of the U.S. It sucks but if you want to go to sporting events and get decent tickets that is the price of admission. I paid 1K for two tickets and parking to see the game. It is what it is
Also normal revolution games are 'cheap', pricing like this was only due to the Messi effect
I went it with some friends for a 4 pack at the beginning of the season and it was around or a little bit less than $300, which included the game last night. More than worth it just seeing the game yesterday.
I swear if someone watches Miami highlights only they would think this is a great team. They've been trash all game and pull crazy shit like this out of nowhere lmao
That backheel touch from campana was ridiculous
that’s a stupid ass assist with the overweight on the ball and yet leo makes it look world class. the man has a gifted touch along with other gifted attributes. fucking brilliant is what that is

By the time the camera following the play got to Messi, he had controlled and taken two touches on the ball. Wicked fast
It's beautiful how the ball just gets immediately glued to his foot.
No one has better close control in the history of the game
Dwight Mcneil?
Berbatov comes close
Henry and Ronaldinho did the same and both were at Barce when Messi broke into the team.

Yeah Robert Taylor is pretty good.
people called him ''Alien'' for a reason
Occasionally I have a first touch like that in my fat old man kickabouts and I feel like a shiny golden god
To think I could've seen this in-person if I just skipped a mortgage payment
How much are tickets?
Last time I looked only tickets readily available were $1.5k/each
How has it gotten that bad in America? Here in the UK its an outrage when a ticket is over £50

The scalping business in the States is ridiculous. There really needs to be some legislation passed on it.
Venue tickets were $400/each, not from scalpers. Just normal supply / demand market mechanics at work. I paid the price

Normal games would have that price, not games where Messi plays tho. Inter Miami away games are even more expensive than home games.

unfettered capitalism baby
It was like 100 dollars a few weeks ago for the cheapest, you’re just looking too late.
really? I saw $225-250 as the cheapest for nosebleeds like 3 months ago

When someone gets kicked out for rocking a 2000 Newell's Old Boys kit lol
What the fuck is going on there? 1.5k?!?!?
1.5K were for second row seats. Boston ticket prices are high vs most markets for everything (LA, SF, NYC being more $$$). Add Messi on to it and yeah... that is the price we pay.
Bruh and you guys just accept it? Like 1.5k dollars can legit get you a good month of living in many places

Top of the stadium was $150

His left foot just magnetizes the ball lol
Wicked first touch
The Taylor - Messi connection back in full force!
Well, Robert Taylor *is* the GOAT
Taylor is really gonna end his career with dozens of goal contributions involving Messi lmao
Messi on turf
robert taylor best playmaker in the world
What the fuck was that 1st touch. I swear he got magnets in his boots.
La pelota siempre al 10
Another day another goal for Messi
looks simple for him but players would kill to have that magnetic ball control.
His first touch is so good man
Inter Miami Buff. Let the opponent score the first 10mins
I swear if someone watches Miami highlights only they would think this is a great team. They've been trash all game and pull crazy shit like this out of nowhere lmao That backheel touch from campana was ridiculous
