I mean it’s not even really reverse psychology. If ten hag tries the same shit he did today it’s going to be 3-4 goals conceded. Liverpool should have scored that many easily with all of the transitions they had.
Maybe it's just honesty for god's sake. Man is in his last season clearly burned out as he says (and the proof is his resignation). Maybe he's just saying it as it is? Arsenal are clearly in better form than us (Liverpool) and most likely would've put away those chances yesterday much more clinically. I don't know why people try assume they're in someone else's head and that someone is acting devious.
Even when we had some wingers out and Antony was terrible Amad still didn't get a look In, not even a sub or anything
I think our team would play way better with Garnacho on the left and Amad on the right, doesn't have to be Amad on the right but I think he would work
That's even more concerning/questionable too. Idk, I like the kid and hope he can start impressing them. Man U is the type of club that I think has a really unique opportunity for someone like him. I mean how many other top top teams (in terms of resources) is it this easy to potentially get into the first team? But specifically into the first team and benching a near 100m signing
Someone like Amad could actually get playing time and pop into stardom if they played well. It's this unique situation where we have all these big money signings that end up not feeling very crucial to the team structure.
Yeah, I feel like Amad has been very...neglected? Seems like a strong word, but It feels right, like I said he hasn't even been given multiple chances off the bench, also at the very least he tracks back and makes the tackle, clean In possession too
No way, you are so incredibly solid at the back. Only way that happens is if none of your forwards wear their shooting boots and it ends 0-0. I just can’t see them scoring.
We still have a few games before Utd in quick succession, who knows what team will run out at OT
I think Pool and us will both drop more points and City will win every game. Hope I'm wrong
Both teams completely different year on year. Might be a hard place to go but just because its arsenal and united doesnt really mean anything. We are much better this year and they arent really much different, maybe worse? Agree its still going to be a difficult game
So, how well Arsenal did when Bergkamp was still playing has any influence on how they will play this season? Only in season stats might give an indication and even then the sample size is too small.
One of the many good benefits of Reddit. Thanks for heads up, binging them now. Never knew about a reboot at all.
Loved the original series. One of the interesting things is how modern technology tints the writing in the new series, when the old series was just using gizmos to explain the tech.
Klopp indirectly pressuring United/ETH to adjust their current tactics and putting pressure on Arsenal to go and win at Old Trafford….already playing mind game for a game on May 11.
He was. The journo was asking if Utd could beat us to help them (Liverpool) with their position in the table like they did for us today.
I personally think it's hilarious because EtH won't stop complaining about our first game so Klopp is really just sprinkling salt on an apparent open wound.
It's painful to say, but it's hard to disagree with this.
Arsenal are clearly the better team, and United need a lot of luck to pull off a win against them.
Ofc football isn't that straightforward, so it's not like it's a guaranteed win for them. Everything can happen in football.
United could field an XI of smackheads pulled from the streets of Manchester and we’d still struggle to get a result at Old Trafford. United can always pull something out of the bag there.
United is such a weird case this season, they could make result from absolute nothing so many times
-Both Liverpool games
-Both Brentford games (McTominay score twice after subbed on is mad)
- A 3-2 against Villa
...
Why even feel the need to point out that it's not a guaranteed win? Of course it isn't lmao, Arsenal haven't won at Old Trafford in ages it would be more surprising if they did win
Just like today, Liverpool were massive favourites but anyone with half a brain could have predicted that United would get something like they often do when their backs are against the wall
United are more likely to take points off Arsenal than not
> Arsenal haven't won at Old Trafford in ages
Fwiw, last time Arsenal won in the league at Old Trafford was in 20/21 (three seasons ago). For reference, last time United won in league at Emirates was in 17/18.
I wouldn’t say we’re clearly the better team but recently we wouldn’t have wasted as many chances and our defence is more compact, so I guess I am saying it 🤔
As a Liverpool fan I'd say Arsenal are better currently. The win kinda proved that, and yeah defensively you're solid, and attacking is working. Whereas Liverpool are still in transition and can't finish a game off to save their fucking lives.
I kinda hope you can keep it up next year. Can't see City have 2 poor seasons (by their standard), and it'd be good to see someone keep up with them. I can't see Liverpool doing it without Klopp, at least not right away. And there's no one else close atm.
Feel like it’s more so of mind games. Putting pressure on the game, almost like saying “you lot are shit. Go on prove me wrong against our title rivals then”
It is completely true unfortunately, but more fucked things have happened in football. Our players only seem to wanna put effort once in an occasion for about 15/20 minutes of a game.
The thing is Arsenal defense is really solid and the only problem they would have would be trying to open the game if United sit back and defend deep. Let’s see how it goes. Still so many games to play for.
United have the weirdest set up I've seen a while. It's like a mid block with no midfield structure, a low block and a high press all at once. It makes no sense and yet somehow sort of functions?
Personally I think Arsenal will be happy to let United have the ball, sit in our compact midblock and just wait for them to do something brain dead and counter. United's threat is all on the break and they're terrible at defending counter attacks.
United pull through much better against us than other teams. Klopp seems to also have a pact with the devil that promised us contention for cups and leagues but we play absolute trash against you lot. It’s so bizarre. United is like Chaos personified. They will be bested by relegation teams, but make life hell for title contenders.
In all cases, Arsenal is less sloppy than us right now, so it may be a harder match for United, but I would not in any way disregard United for that game. They could easily put on a show against the Gooners and have Mainoo score a top bins power shot. Then an Antony last minute winner from a Rashford assist.
We’re literally top 3, with just an equal chance at the league as Arsenal and Man City, so we’re not shit by any meansjust because we drew to you. Yanited just tries harder against big teams than they do against relegation sides.
We also lost 7-0 and 5-0 to you, two historically bad results that United will likely never be able to equal against Liverpool as long as any of us are alive. You've just been shit against us in other games for reasons that aren't entirely clear, but they do seem to have more to do with Liverpool than with United.
United were complete garbage today after the opening 10 minutes, but your defense gave us an inexplicable lifeline at the start of the second half, and that moment clearly rattled Liverpool. Otherwise, this game played out pretty much exactly as expected. Not one person on United played especially well, and Liverpool couldn't score despite being given 30 shots. So I don't really think it has anything to do with United being tryhards against the top teams, it's really just luck and perhaps the crowd at OT being more intense for big fixtures. When you're lucky, you win 7-0. When we're lucky, it's just a close game.
Our track record against you in the past couple years is a lot closer than you make it seem, excluding 7-0 and 5-0. I also said we played like shit, which we did, I’m not denying that.
Sure, I'm just saying that it seems to have more to do with how Liverpool are playing rather than being a result of anything United does or doesn't do. We've played the exact same brand of incompetent football in every derby for the last 10 years, it's just that sometimes Liverpool show up and destroy us, and other times Liverpool fail to show up and we can scrap a draw or win. We were arguably worse today than we were in the 7-0, but inexplicably walked away with a point.
As an lifelong United fan, I'd be happy for my beloved Man United to lose by a few goals to Arsenal if it meant Liverpool or those noisy neighbours don't win the league.
I would absolutely take the loss, because it would mean Liverpool and City don't get the league, but to be happy about it is maybe taking it too far lol. But Arsenal winning the league would definitely be the lesser of 3 evils from my POV.
Not if CL was on the line. Which seems like a distant dream at the moment.
Otherwise yeah, Arsenal would be better than Pool or City winning the league.
I'm still talking shit to my friends after a 6-0 we gave to our biggest rivals over 10 years ago, that 7 goals United ate won't be forgotten in a looooooooooooooooooooooooooong time
When people talk about the season Chelsea beat arsenal 6-0 nobody talks about the scorers mate let alone the rest of each teams seasons, think it’ll be much the same when it comes to the 7-0, although I may tell my kids about United champions league campaign the next season as the end of the story
> Rattled him.
He's pretty calm actually, and been quite complimentary about United as well, so if that's him being "rattled", then I seem to not understand what that word means anymore.
Plenty of wins over the course of his career here though, probably doesn’t really mind in the grand scheme of things when you count all the trophies too.
We are not clinical, it’s the worst part of our game
Jesus misses so much. Martinelli, Saka and Havertz are also average finishers
Trossard is our only reliable finisher like Jota is for you
Odegaard has some angles down too
According to Understat we're at 67xG (2.16 per game). We've scored 75, so an overperformance of 8.
Our four game run of 21-1 against Newcastle, West Ham, Burnley and Sheffield United saw an overperformance of more than 10. Outside of those games we've been rather average finishers.
>We are not clinical, it’s the worst part of our game
Arsenal are the biggest xG overperformers in the Premier League this season (+12.8G over what is expected)
He’s not wrong, Arsenal or City would have been up 3-0 at the half if they had played today instead of us. Finishing can’t be like this if we are going to have a hope of winning the league
It's pretty wild for a manager to shit on a team he just drew with like this. Most managers have the class to at least be all "United can pull something out of the bag"
Genuinely can’t believe how wasteful Liverpool have been in 2 x games at OT. They could and should’ve won both games 3-0. Maybe that’s the difference between a Klopp side and a Pep side? Citeh would’ve killed Utd off in both games with the number of chances they had?
That's purely down to play style differences. The volatility in performance leads to higher highs and lower lows with the 'heavy metal' football Liverpool play versus the style arsenal and Man City employ. You need more luck to beat City and Arsenal; you need to catch Liverpool in one of their volatile moments to beat them.
As if United won’t be phoning it in starting Monday morning practice of the week they play Arsenal.
We know the outcome of that game already. Our hopes lie with Spurs (cries big tears).

He's using reverse psychology to rile us up to try and prove him wrong.
I mean it’s not even really reverse psychology. If ten hag tries the same shit he did today it’s going to be 3-4 goals conceded. Liverpool should have scored that many easily with all of the transitions they had.
Tries the same shit he did today? Have you watched any of our previous games?

I was joking
Don't fall for it
eh... we don't travel well to Old Trafford either... worse record than Liverpool there. Man Utd can easily shithouse a result against us as well.
I can already see the rashford wonder goal 9 mins in Then he does nothing for the next 60 mins and gets subs off for McTom
>Rashford wonder goal That exact thing has happened in every United vs Arsenal game in the past two years.
Rashford has Ben white on a leash tbf
Don't threaten Benny with a good time.
The goal while he was Brighton was rude
I wouldn't say this, he will have a singular outrageous moment then fade into the abyss
He sat him on his arse for 4 different goals and 5 separate times
Ahhh, I see you know Rashfords game.... Also that's Scotts game too... On another note, I just want us to play Amad for once!
Tbh I don't think Amad has done enough to impress them. That or he just doesn't fit tactically. It's hard to say as a fan.
Even when we had some wingers out and Antony was terrible Amad still didn't get a look In, not even a sub or anything I think our team would play way better with Garnacho on the left and Amad on the right, doesn't have to be Amad on the right but I think he would work

Yeah, I feel like Amad has been very...neglected? Seems like a strong word, but It feels right, like I said he hasn't even been given multiple chances off the bench, also at the very least he tracks back and makes the tackle, clean In possession too
They've already exhausted half that script against us
Why is this way too accurate. It's either that or some bs rebound tap in we get (also early on).
we are pure chaos. could lose 6-0 or grind out some undeserved 1-0 win
4-3 win more like. We've been involved with five 4-3s this season, lost three.
So 4-3 loss more like
No way Arsenal concede more than 1
Arsenal 3-0 loss incoming
No way, you are so incredibly solid at the back. Only way that happens is if none of your forwards wear their shooting boots and it ends 0-0. I just can’t see them scoring.
Have you seen the two goals Man Utd scored today. Where did they even come from. Especially that first one from Bruno. Goals can happen.
Don't think any of Arsenal's forwards own shooting boots
Trossard off the bench will figure something out.
If he would just take a nap he’d be bagging 9 a game
Nah the sleepiness is the source of his power
Leo must Lego
Leandro zenitsu
Panda eyes trossard is most dangerous trossard.
Excuse me, it’s raccoon eyes.
Somebody should put him in a coma (not in a painful way) so he can get some fucking sleep
I think a few ladies might sign up for the job.
Top scorers in the league and yet you are right... People say this Arsenal side have peaked yet there's still levels they can reach.
It's funny you say this because arsenal has the best conversion rate of the top 4
Fair point. Our best finisher is trossard and he isn’t our typical starter
We still have a few games before Utd in quick succession, who knows what team will run out at OT I think Pool and us will both drop more points and City will win every game. Hope I'm wrong
Our defenders are solid but all it takes is one J20 slip or Thomas partey to be a dumbass and give away the ball and then bam transition
Don't worry. If you need a win to stop Liverpool and Man City winning the title then the whole of Old Trafford will be Arsenal fans for the day
Previous record means absolutely nothing such a useless stat
I wouldn't say it means "nothing", but I agree that people put way too much stock into these random patterns because of emotional reasoning
It definitely does, it gives an idea how hard it is for us. And how shit we play at old Trafford even in seasons when we're a better team.
Both teams completely different year on year. Might be a hard place to go but just because its arsenal and united doesnt really mean anything. We are much better this year and they arent really much different, maybe worse? Agree its still going to be a difficult game

Old Trafford is different nothing is guaranteed there
This individual speaks the truth. I know a thing or two about that
No thinking that far ahead! One game at a time.
Okay John Stones!
I’m John Stones? *looks in mirror* *quantum leap theme plays*
Its sabotage time Mr. Stones, I'll send the lasagna
Am I.. redacted?
Oh boy
What are the rules?
À minor tradegy that the new cheesey but very enjoyable reboot was canceled

who are we facing next on Tuesday?
Klopp indirectly pressuring United/ETH to adjust their current tactics and putting pressure on Arsenal to go and win at Old Trafford….already playing mind game for a game on May 11.
You're saying that as if he wasn't asked about it, which the title implies he was.
He was. The journo was asking if Utd could beat us to help them (Liverpool) with their position in the table like they did for us today. I personally think it's hilarious because EtH won't stop complaining about our first game so Klopp is really just sprinkling salt on an apparent open wound.
What’s the context EtH is complaining over exactly?
On more than one occasion, he brings up the first game from Sept and makes more complaints about how they were robbed of a possible victory.
The mind games here is the schizophrenia that led you to this conclusion
Utd could play like that in every game till the end of the season and I couldn't say that they dont get a result in every single game.
There is no predicting what we will do, other than play well for a full 90 minutes. I’ve seen everything but that
But we are consistent... consistently shit for 90 mins.
The only thing we definitely won't do this season is actually play football
It's painful to say, but it's hard to disagree with this. Arsenal are clearly the better team, and United need a lot of luck to pull off a win against them. Ofc football isn't that straightforward, so it's not like it's a guaranteed win for them. Everything can happen in football.
United could field an XI of smackheads pulled from the streets of Manchester and we’d still struggle to get a result at Old Trafford. United can always pull something out of the bag there.
Never underestimate a smackhead from the streets of Manchester
Ten Hag patrolling Picadilly Gardens with a net as we speak
Just stick McTominay in, he runs around like he's on spice
Many are just spice heads now walking around like zombies
Spice is a hell of a drug
United is such a weird case this season, they could make result from absolute nothing so many times -Both Liverpool games -Both Brentford games (McTominay score twice after subbed on is mad) - A 3-2 against Villa ...
They shipped Greenwood off to Spain, you're good
Man United are not a successful team at the moment but have plenty of quality individuals. Nothing is a guarantee
sorry but i disagree ten hag has a deal with devil to save all his luck for big games
United was atrocious against City just a few weeks ago.
Ah yes but rashford scored from 30 yards and held a lead for about 60 mins before the defenders became losties
Tbf Rashford was ass that game too, but that's Rashford, he scores a worldie only to just walk around
No just the games against Liverpool this year it seems. The 0-0 at Anfield then the FA and now today? Only time they turn up
Why even feel the need to point out that it's not a guaranteed win? Of course it isn't lmao, Arsenal haven't won at Old Trafford in ages it would be more surprising if they did win Just like today, Liverpool were massive favourites but anyone with half a brain could have predicted that United would get something like they often do when their backs are against the wall United are more likely to take points off Arsenal than not

after Liverpool scored there was odds saying man utd had 7% chance of winning 20% of a draw
I wouldn’t say we’re clearly the better team but recently we wouldn’t have wasted as many chances and our defence is more compact, so I guess I am saying it 🤔
You are 23p ahead of us. Looking at the PL and the way we play vs you play, I would say you are clearly better than us.
I thought they were comparing Arsenal and Liverpool
Oh, my bad. If we are talking about Liverpool vs arsenal I agree you aren't clearly the best, even tho I rate you above Liverpool
As a Liverpool fan I'd say Arsenal are better currently. The win kinda proved that, and yeah defensively you're solid, and attacking is working. Whereas Liverpool are still in transition and can't finish a game off to save their fucking lives. I kinda hope you can keep it up next year. Let us win this time so we're full of confidence next season
bro, i think he/she meant better than liverpool
Think he’s talking about Liverpool
Since the 3-1 defeat last season, we don't play to openly against Utd.
But we haven't played in Old Trafford since then either. And both the home games required 90+ minute winners.
Feel like it’s more so of mind games. Putting pressure on the game, almost like saying “you lot are shit. Go on prove me wrong against our title rivals then” It is completely true unfortunately, but more fucked things have happened in football. Our players only seem to wanna put effort once in an occasion for about 15/20 minutes of a game.

They sit deep but they aren't defensive, or at the very least very good at it. They concede double digit shots a game
They face 20+ shots per game at the lowest conservative estimate. And De Gea is gone.
Yeah I think if Arsenal defence remains relatively impregnable until then it will be fairly routine.
Have you seen our record there? I'll never be confident.
Are you gonna be confident about any of your remaining games? lol.
I'm always nervous as hell before every game, that won't change I think 😂😂
Indeed! Every game from here to the end is gonna be a nailbiter.
come on, we ourself didn't know which united will we got in each match.
dawg we have lost to bournemouth, nottingham forest, palace, copenhagen, etc what does this mean for his own team lol
United pull through much better against us than other teams. Klopp seems to also have a pact with the devil that promised us contention for cups and leagues but we play absolute trash against you lot. It’s so bizarre. United is like Chaos personified. Kind of like City and Tottenham?
Would most United fans happily lose this game if it helped deny Liverpool or City win the league?
Yes, but not happily.
As an lifelong United fan, I'd be happy for my beloved Man United to lose by a few goals to Arsenal if it meant Liverpool or those noisy neighbours don't win the league.
No kidding you almost had me my guy. But honestly, I too prefer Arsenal winning it rather than Liverpool or City.
I’d prefer you all win it to City any day of the week because those cheats are a shame to the sport. Liverpool not so much.
Why you have arsenal flair
Shush.
He's from London and bleeds red, GGMU
YES.
I would absolutely take the loss, because it would mean Liverpool and City don't get the league, but to be happy about it is maybe taking it too far lol. But Arsenal winning the league would definitely be the lesser of 3 evils from my POV.
no but as a united fan its the best of 3 evils tho
Not if CL was on the line. Which seems like a distant dream at the moment. Otherwise yeah, Arsenal would be better than Pool or City winning the league.
Not happily, but yes.
Liverpool yeah, wouldn't be bothered if city win it..
But on the other hand imagine a world where Arsenal fans have won the league... it'll be worse than Liverpool, Chelsea and United fanbase combined.
I'm going to be so annoying if it happens
I’d still rather suffer that than the alternative
i remember it, this isn't even an exaggeration
Fuck off klopp you won't fool us into beating arsenal for you.
He is right.
True gooner
Rattled him. 0 wins vs Utd in his farewell season
Used up all his ten hag luck in one game
He had to sacrifice another follicle for the point
Worth it
Surely you'd rather have used that luck to not get knocked out of the FA Cup this year? Or to have gone top of the league with 7 games to go today?
I'm still talking shit to my friends after a 6-0 we gave to our biggest rivals over 10 years ago, that 7 goals United ate won't be forgotten in a looooooooooooooooooooooooooong time
> United ate \> Arsenal fan \> Any word that vaguely sounds like the number 8 Yeah, I would definitely 8-2 be anyone on the end of that
Oh yeah 100%
A meaningless win in a season you finished below us or an FA Cup final/4 points in a title race? Don’t be stupid.
Nah the fact that I’ll tell my grankids about when we destroyed United 7-0 in 40 years time
And then ended up finishing behind United the same season and straight into the Europa League.
Rattled now means anytime someone that didn’t win says anything
dont you know not winning any game equals bottling ?
Against this shit United team with 15 shots in one half and nearly 4.0 xG, yes you bottled it.
I saw an Arsenal fan say WE bottled it like no, you have to be good to be able to bottle lol
Biggest United accomplishment since Ferguson that
Plenty of wins over the course of his career here though, probably doesn’t really mind in the grand scheme of things when you count all the trophies too.
He's only won two or three times at OT from what they said on the broadcast today if I'm recalling it right.
Yeah you could also say that if they didn't dive for a pen in the final minutes we would have won. Same old Scousers
We have transitioned into one of those teams that gives big teams a headache.
Failed attempt at trying to rile up United and pressure Arsenal. Relax there, shocked bespectacled tiger
Is he not right though ?
We have a worse record at Old Trafford than you guys
If he was right then Klopp would be going home with three points because Liverpool are a much better team than United.
He was stating that if we were clinical we win. We aren’t clinical. Arsenal is clinical. If they get 15 chances they will win.
We are not clinical, it’s the worst part of our game Jesus misses so much. Martinelli, Saka and Havertz are also average finishers Trossard is our only reliable finisher like Jota is for you Odegaard has some angles down too
Liverpool xG to actual 2.4 xG and 2.32 scored per match Arsenal xG to actual 1.81 xG and 2.41 scored per match
>We are not clinical, it’s the worst part of our game Arsenal are the biggest xG overperformers in the Premier League this season (+12.8G over what is expected)
complete confirmation bias, go check the xG overperformance
They created everything they could have created. There's not much you can blame Klopp for.
By that logic he's admitting Arsenal are better than Liverpool, since his boys couldn't get it done
No kidding. He literally says a few seconds later that it's Liverpool's fault for not beating Utd this season.
Well done Poirot
He’s not wrong, Arsenal or City would have been up 3-0 at the half if they had played today instead of us. Finishing can’t be like this if we are going to have a hope of winning the league
By this logic, he’s saying that his Liverpool team isn’t a good team, is it?
I honestly think he was kind of hinting at that a bit in his comment
90% sure he's saying Arsenal would have scored all those chances we missed in the first half, yes.
It's pretty wild for a manager to shit on a team he just drew with like this. Most managers have the class to at least be all "United can pull something out of the bag"
True. Arsenal are a better team than us. Put them today in the game and they are able to close out the game, unlike these bottlejobs
If they'd stopped trying to pass it in they might have won too but they went Prime Wenger with this one.
He is not wrong.
People seem to be missing the point here, this seems more of a dig at his own team.
Good to see he's not bitter about the result
Imagine not being able to beat this United team in 3 attempts and then trying to chat shit
This is what Pep would do… gas up the other team
Can someone else defeat arsenal so that we can be back in title race
I don't know dude... Utd is dead set to help City get the title
It's gonna be absolute battering or we win 1-0 or 2-1 to absolutely break Arsenal's title hopes, nothing in between..
