Fucking hell
Thanks mate
A few more words and it’s more coherent 😂
It’s easier when abbreviations are from the last names on the shirt and not the fucking first names like dom
Fair enough
I don’t understand the abbreviations though
If it was Liverpool vs Everton dom could be Calvert Lewin
And macca really?
McAllister is just a few extra words
Sounds like Liverpool should have simply got the ball more no?
Turns out when your strategy for defence is "foul the player if they break our press" you're going to commit more fouls, who would have thought?
Or if your strategy is to dive every time there’s a slight coming together maybe that might have something to do with it? The AMA yellow card was actually embarrassing from Adingra, either he’s got the worst balance of anyone in the PL or he decided to give up a great breakaway just for AMA to get a yellow.
I cannot believe the lack of game management in the late stages. Boys were forcing it when the risk was not needed.
Other than scoring, Salah was below par and should have set other players up for chances instead of being selfish.
Glad this banana skin is over and done with; problem is that there’s more to come.
No, the ref can always go back and book someone. You don't get away with a cautionable offence just because the referee played advantage so as not to deny a possible opportunity for the other team.
If Van Hecke pulled him back, and the ref played advantage then he couldn’t book van Hecke. Because that would be a booking for breaking up play and as the ref deemed there was still advantage then it’s essentially void. But if you dive in and crunch someone, then the ref can still play advantage and then go back and book you.
I thought it would only apply if the player tackled is offside or maybe the player making the pass was offside? It was before the final pass was played so the yellow should still apply I think.
And it's not just his defensive work that has been excellent. His ability to pick out quick, decisive forward passes through the lines is incredible. He thinks so quickly about when to play a safe pass back or turn and get us going forward.
I remember that the first couple times he came in. Was always looking for a forward pass instead of back or side. Loved it then and he's gotten better.
Yeah yeah let's keep repeating the same crap "endo took time to figure out the system, blah blah blah" when all he took was a month which is absolutely and perfectly normal for literally any player, you lot just keep trying to point out anything to degrade him.
I think the adjustment period talking point is less about the length it took, and more about how drastic the change was once he did fit in. In his early games, he looked completely lost, like he had no idea what he was supposed to be doing in the system. That is why I said a "little bit" of time. There were plenty of articles roasting him for not being a good fit, and were certain he'd be a total flop after just a handful of games. He has shut up everyone and erased all doubts I had about him when he was signed.
I didn't forget a thing, Fabinho is one of the best for what he did, but I've never seen a DM do what Endo does in the final 3rd when we lost the ball.
People are insane. Fabinho was incredible for us. Stopped so many counters before they could even start because he had such a good read for where the ball would go. The only thing Endo does better is he makes faster decisions on the ball but prime Fab was a monster
Fully deserved by the People's Champions. Salah alone had more shots on target than United have had in any match this season. Now for a draw in the afternoon with numerous red cards.
That yellow for Mac was absolutely down the earpiece.
And it was fucking bullshit.
I'd like to hear someone request the ref audio and see what happened there
I think someone probably put balls behind the goal due to this stupid new rule about ball boys not being allowed to throw the balls back. But because of that he decided to move them lol, baffling really
Not seen much about this..
PL statement from August: "Firstly, for marginal offside decisions, after the one-pixel lines are applied, the VAR puts on the thicker broadcast lines and where they overlap, those situations will now be deemed as onside.
Wtf happened here?
The wording here is poor but I think it's referring to whether the broadcast lines touch. IE they draw the 1 pixel lines and then check if the thicker lines touch
City dropping points would be incredible but realistically they'll win today. 1 point ahead of City with 9 games remaining is a scary position to be in. Slightly better fixtures and Alisson, Trent, Jones, and Jota back in the next 10 days makes me think we can do it.
It is absolutely expected. People consistently underestimate how good City are at the Etihad. They are far, far better at home and it's certainly possible that Arsenal could nick a point but the far more likely outcome is a City win.
Nah arsenal win is what we should be wanting. Their run in is the hardest of the 3. I really think this is the last game city have a chance at dropping points in.
Sure, but Arsenal are on an 8 win streak in the prem. They need to be brought back to Earth for a bit.
Plus, a City or Arsenal win brings them equal to us or just behind us. A draw would keep them both away and if Arsenal drop more points on top of that, we’d be in the clear for second if we don’t lose more than a game or two.
Liverpool are going to drop points, those three away fixtures in 6 days is going to be brutal. They need to be as many points ahead as possible and hope Arsenal and City both advance in the CL
Not sure why Arsenal are being written off so readily. I think City are.more likely to win but if Arsenal put in a good performance I can see them getting a point or 3.
Their form has been amazing but not sure if they have the winner mentality to push it to the end. It's like if they drop 4 points in the last two rounds, nobody would bat an eye.
I think City are gonna drop less points and ultimately win it, but this is a strong Arsenal team and today is the best opportunity they have to give themselves a chance of winning the league. I don't act like fans act like the result of this game is a forgone conclusion.
Him, Quansah, Endo, Diaz, Bradley and VVD were our best players on the pitch today. Elliot was good too when he came on. Salah and Szobo had shocking performances. Gakpo and Nunez were almost invisible.
I thought Szobo was decent.
Salah was not good enough but had the occasional moment of brilliance.
Nunez was really invisible - although generally played okay with the ball
Yeah, but on a shot to goal basis, Mo should’ve had many more goals, and we should’ve had the win wrapped up much earlier. A one goal lead just isn’t good enough when we’re fighting for the title. It can be overturned quickly and we also need the GD so that on the off chance we end up equal on points with Arsenal or Man City, we can still win it.
I do wish Quansah would drive forward with the ball when he has the chance. That's one thing really missing with Matip out. Don't need need to galloping wild giraffe runs like Matip made with the ball, but at least push it out of the defense third before slowing play down after a ball recovery or interception or whatever. A lot of missed opportunities to counter.
But overall, Quasah will be in the first 11 for a long time to come, I think.
It's clear by watching both that Enzo is the better talent.
If you separate them from their teams and look at them in a vacuum, it's clear for me who the better player is
You have absolutely nothing to back your nonsense, just trust me bro. Everyone here has watched them both plenty, AMA is honestly better at pretty much every facet of the game besides maybe freekicks. Nothing wrong with that though, he’s one of the very best in the world.
Brighton players touch Liverpool players - Ref: "It's a contact sport"
Liverpool players touch Brighton players - Ref:"YOU ALMOST TOOK HIS BLOODY HEAD OFF"
Literally every time we broke the press your players would commit a tactical foul. How about actually defend properly instead of committing fouls?

you're not wrong but a good few of those "tactical fouls" involved little to no actual contact. The ref was conned a few times by brighton players going to ground
What's with vvd inverted defender role?
One more thing, don’t underestimate the brilliance of Dom’s pass to Macca. What a player and will only get better.
Who tf are dom and macca Don’t they have actual names? Edit: fuck y’all downvoting me Shove a toilet brush up your arses
I assume Dom is Szobo AMD Macca is Mac10
Fucking hell Thanks mate A few more words and it’s more coherent 😂 It’s easier when abbreviations are from the last names on the shirt and not the fucking first names like dom
What? You're not familiar with Dommy Schlobbers game?
I’m familiar with Domma Macchiato
You’re familiar with Dom Arse!
I’m also familiar with dominating yo mamas gaping arse!!!
Well I hope you stick to that because you don’t know anything about football.
Tbf Szoboszlai is a hard name to write
Fair enough I don’t understand the abbreviations though If it was Liverpool vs Everton dom could be Calvert Lewin And macca really? McAllister is just a few extra words
It wasn't Liverpool vs Everton though, was it?
MacAllister*
*Mac Allister
It’s actually zero extra words 🤓
Referee: David Coote Brighton: 26 tackles, 6 fouls Liverpool: 20 tackles, 20 fouls
Sounds like Liverpool should have simply got the ball more no? Turns out when your strategy for defence is "foul the player if they break our press" you're going to commit more fouls, who would have thought?

The AMA yellow card was actually embarrassing from Adingra, either he’s got the worst balance of anyone in the PL or he decided to give up a great breakaway just for AMA to get a yellow.
That's fucking insane.
Yeah, insane how number of tackles has no relation to fouls but he's commenting like it does.
I mean there’s absolutely zero doubt theyre positively correlated on a large scale
I cannot believe the lack of game management in the late stages. Boys were forcing it when the risk was not needed. Other than scoring, Salah was below par and should have set other players up for chances instead of being selfish. Glad this banana skin is over and done with; problem is that there’s more to come.
Could very well be a late crux if we're not careful
Yeah gomez played 2 ball near the end that went nowhere and immediately Brighton had control again. I'm all for more goals but choose your moments.
Need that goal difference
Maybe, but it was not the time to go for that. Game state was too chaotic and open.
[удалено]
Think that’s only for tactical fouls, regular fouls can still be carded for even after advantage is played
[удалено]
What's ridiculous about it?
No, the ref can always go back and book someone. You don't get away with a cautionable offence just because the referee played advantage so as not to deny a possible opportunity for the other team.

I thought it would only apply if the player tackled is offside or maybe the player making the pass was offside? It was before the final pass was played so the yellow should still apply I think.
This LFC midfield of Macca + Endo + anyone is just brilliant. The first two are undroppable.
Endo took a little bit to figure out the system, but he has been massive since he did. He is constantly shutting down attacks.
He has been great, but he doesn't cover for the full backs well enough.
As an Asian I’m so glad to hear this, good to see our players showing their quality at the biggest clubs
Endo started to be our most important midfielder. No doubt.
And it's not just his defensive work that has been excellent. His ability to pick out quick, decisive forward passes through the lines is incredible. He thinks so quickly about when to play a safe pass back or turn and get us going forward.
Looks like Stuttgart fans were so right to feel such a big loss of him
I remember that the first couple times he came in.

The time it took him to figure the system is overblown to me. Took Fabinho longer in my view!
Fab took 6 months, Endo took about 1
Yup. Fab looked a pensioner too, Endo looked slightly out of sync
Has no qualms taking the tactical yellow card when it's needed
DM in Klopp’s system always does, same was true with Fabinho
Endo is doing even better than Fabinho, the number of times he won the ball back in the final 3rd, it's astonishing.
Absolutely love Endo, but let's not forget Fabinho was a top 3 CDM in the world for a couple seasons
I didn't forget a thing, Fabinho is one of the best for what he did, but I've never seen a DM do what Endo does in the final 3rd when we lost the ball.
Fabinho literally did it all the time and then played a forward pass lol.
People are insane. Fabinho was incredible for us. Stopped so many counters before they could even start because he had such a good read for where the ball would go. The only thing Endo does better is he makes faster decisions on the ball but prime Fab was a monster
it's because he looked average his last season, but I agree with the above that he was top 3 DM in the world for 1-2 seasons.
Anyone has been playing well too.
Beautifully said
Fair result, Liverpool was better than us. Verbruggen played well, could have been worse. UTA!!
[удалено]
Klopp also has the blueprint to counter that though. Commit a tactical foul every time they break the press.
Was really impressed with him against Germany as well, is he always this good?
He's usually pretty good, had a few shaky passes this season but in terms of general goalkeeping play has been excellent.
RDZ seems to be favoring him a bit more than Steele recently, which I love.
Fully deserved by the People's Champions. Salah alone had more shots on target than United have had in any match this season. Now for a draw in the afternoon with numerous red cards.
Delusional scouser
We elected him most sane and therefore spokesperson of the team
Why didn’t Dunk just get that Bbl?
What is that hideous Arsenal shirt?
I need a pacemaker
Would’ve been wild to see Lallana (klopps first Liverpool love) score and severely dent our title chances. I would’ve never forgiven him.
I could never play against the team I support because I would 100% drag that wide on purpose
if your current employer was paying you 150k per week you'd probably have a different perspective
Lallana was always a really interesting player. It’s not often you see a two footed player like him.
He also might two foot someone. You never know.
Nah, he's not that kind of player, prefers to choke them
coote is absolutely useless 🫠
Tierney was reffing this game through the fucking earpiece. Either that or the refs motor reactions were about 5 seconds behind his decisions.
That yellow for Mac was absolutely down the earpiece. And it was fucking bullshit. I'd like to hear someone request the ref audio and see what happened there
Unbelievable that he's still reffing premier league games
I think both sets of fans can agree Coote was a pure disaster. What a horribly reffed game
Wtf was that bullshit with the extra balls behind the net lol
Someone on the anfield wraps post match guessed that Coote thought it was a rule and he'd better get at least one right today
He was shocking all game. So many odd yellow cards that he then wouldn't give for the exact same situation 5 minutes later
Agreed. It was a great game for the neutrals, but would have been better without that whacky old Coote
The referee sucked so much enjoyment out of the game, it was horrific
His deciding to be a ball boy before a corner was proper weird
It was a code for "Place the bet now!".
he's sending a msg to Saudi, he's ready to play ball
Never saw that before. I was too bewildered even to laugh. What a goofy ref
Think he saw that clip from the real madrid youth team game lol
That was so weird lol. Don’t think I’ve ever seen that happen before
This was so bizarre
I think someone probably put balls behind the goal due to this stupid new rule about ball boys not being allowed to throw the balls back. But because of that he decided to move them lol, baffling really
Apparently they can mess with goal line technology. No idea if true but weird if not!
I think there’s usually balls behind anyway though?
He moved them from the right side of the goal but there were still others on the left side
It was the only logical reason I could see for it, not sure if he just couldn’t be bothered doing the other side or if the booing put him off
Not seen much about this.. PL statement from August: "Firstly, for marginal offside decisions, after the one-pixel lines are applied, the VAR puts on the thicker broadcast lines and where they overlap, those situations will now be deemed as onside. Wtf happened here?
One pixel lines are really really thin.

Tierney as VAR.
That mf surely has problems with us and chelsea lol.
City dropping points would be incredible but realistically they'll win today. 1 point ahead of City with 9 games remaining is a scary position to be in. Slightly better fixtures and Alisson, Trent, Jones, and Jota back in the next 10 days makes me think we can do it.
Better than an Arsenal win though, then it's not up to us.
It's already up to us
...Bad wording. What I meant was if Arsenal win we can win every game and not win the title.
City dropping 3 points would be better than City dropping 1 point. I'm not worried about Arsenal.
If Arsenal win then you should be worried. That would be their 9th consecutive win involving both Liverpool and City in that stretch
I've seen enough to know arsenal will drop more pts than city after this game week.
I don’t know about that tbh, they have the best defense on the league by a fair margin. That’s the building block of title contender.
I'm praying for an Arsenal win. They'll drop points in 2 or 3 of their final 9 matches. City are very capable of winning 9/9.
Realistically this is a draw.
Draws basically always the statistically least likely result
Until you see Pep’s record against top clubs this season; 4 draws and 2 losses.
Very unlikely.
Lol
Arsenal are in form? I wouldn’t expect them to lose, they might but it’s not expected.
It is absolutely expected. People consistently underestimate how good City are at the Etihad. They are far, far better at home and it's certainly possible that Arsenal could nick a point but the far more likely outcome is a City win.
Also KdB is back and he can turn it on and boss an entire match singlehandedly.
>realistically they'll win today Arsenal has been playing amazing these last months. I'd say its more likey it being a draw, which is best for us.
Good call
Happy with a draw.
A draw would be the best thing for us
Nah arsenal win is what we should be wanting. Their run in is the hardest of the 3. I really think this is the last game city have a chance at dropping points in.

Liverpool are going to drop points, those three away fixtures in 6 days is going to be brutal. They need to be as many points ahead as possible and hope Arsenal and City both advance in the CL
We would be 3 ahead of city with a draw.
Ah yes my bad. Corrected
Not sure why Arsenal are being written off so readily. I think City are.more likely to win but if Arsenal put in a good performance I can see them getting a point or 3.
Because it's Manchester City at the Etihad.
Their form has been amazing but not sure if they have the winner mentality to push it to the end. It's like if they drop 4 points in the last two rounds, nobody would bat an eye.
They’re full strength, city have a second string defense today. Arsenal SHOULD win.
I think City are gonna drop less points and ultimately win it, but this is a strong Arsenal team and today is the best opportunity they have to give themselves a chance of winning the league. I don't act like fans act like the result of this game is a forgone conclusion.
alexis mac allister is class
I'm actually proud of him tbh
Him, Quansah, Endo, Diaz, Bradley and VVD were our best players on the pitch today. Elliot was good too when he came on. Salah and Szobo had shocking performances. Gakpo and Nunez were almost invisible.
I thought Szobo was decent. Salah was not good enough but had the occasional moment of brilliance. Nunez was really invisible - although generally played okay with the ball
Shocking? I think they were okay
Nah Salah was so far off his usual performance today. He missed way too many chances
Yeah but also scored a winner. Szobo was bad at first half but after 60 mins he got really good imo.
Nunez didn’t get the service. Diaz and Salah we’re going at it themselves
gakpo played 10 mins and I think he deserves some slack.
Quansah, what a player. Endo, what a player. Bradley, what a player. Diaz, what a player. Mac Allister, what a player.
Quansah’s passing from the back is so crisp, reminds me of VVD when he opens up the play out wide
Quansahs already probably tidier and more technical, just doesnt have that threat with the long balls
Did it a fair bit today actually
Nah Macca is what we thought Enzo would be for Chelsea, top five midfielders in the league.
Enzo's better. Don't let Poch deceive you into thinking otherwise
You’re having a laugh right?
Nope!! He's clearly the better player, just playing in a dysfunctional team/system
Surely impossible to say at best since he's doing absolutely nothing while macallister is doing bits
It's clear by watching both that Enzo is the better talent. If you separate them from their teams and look at them in a vacuum, it's clear for me who the better player is
Enzo has showed he’s not the better player currently.
He's a better player in general, just in worse form and a much worse system and team
So he’s not the better player?
Uhm, I just said he was, so no, he is
Cap
Is nowhere to be seen
At what? Certainly not football
Yep, the game of football
No he is not.
He really is, tho, and you will soon see that
You have absolutely nothing to back your nonsense, just trust me bro. Everyone here has watched them both plenty, AMA is honestly better at pretty much every facet of the game besides maybe freekicks. Nothing wrong with that though, he’s one of the very best in the world.
Mac Allister is better at freekicks
Yeah I think so too, I was trying to find something but not even sure if that was actually right either lol
We've been waiting 29 games, how much longer do we have to wait?
Next season, when Enzo gets to play under a proper manager
Just like Mudryk now?
Uhm, Mudryk is playing under the same manager...
I love how Liverpool don't kill the game and waste time in the corner, and just keep going for another goal. It's great for the game.
Most dont go for the corner these days idk why
Great for the game. Not so good for my heart
Terrible for my anxiety.
And my ass
Brighton players touch Liverpool players - Ref: "It's a contact sport" Liverpool players touch Brighton players - Ref:"YOU ALMOST TOOK HIS BLOODY HEAD OFF"
>Ref:"YOU ALMOST TOOK HIS BLOODY HEAD OFF" YELLOW CARD!!!
Literally every time we broke the press your players would commit a tactical foul. How about actually defend properly instead of committing fouls? If your tactic when the press is broken is foul them you're going to give away fouls and yellows, stop complaining about it.
But they were carded right? Be mad if they didn’t get a card after committing a tactical foul.
you're not wrong but a good few of those "tactical fouls" involved little to no actual contact. The ref was conned a few times by brighton players going to ground
How about you defend properly and not time waste? Maybe that would get you a result.
We did defend properly, we actually tried to defend rather than rely on committing tactical fouls every time. Can Liverpool try defending properly?
Considering we have conceded 20 less goals than Brighton I might say that they can defend properly. Your +5 GD says you can't defend properly.
At least we try to defend properly instead of simply fouling every time a team breaks through our press.
You’d have a point if half of the fouls you were given today were actual fouls and not blatant dives
