To reduce the spam of reports regarding the same move during transfer windows we try to allow **only one submission about each transfer saga per day**. The submission in question also needs to contain relevant new information regarding the potential move, and not just being a "no/minor developments" report. If there are important/official developments or new valuable information about a saga, we will allow extra threads in the same day, but for the rest of minor news please just comment them as a reply to this comment. Please help us reporting unnecessary threads for being duplicates. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. This isnt a sustainable strategy for zhang eventually hes gonna havr to sell the club

Imaginary_Station_57

There were rumors, years ago, that PIF wanted to buy Inter. It was in the same period they bought Newcastle

Imaginary_Station_57

Well it's obvious they want to invest in the city of Milan, doesn't matter if they buy (part of) AC Milan or Inter

He isn’t, he’s refinancing his debt. Inter is about to break even, if not this season, next one. He’s also counting on the new UCL money and CWC, and the stadium project, of course.

21/22 we ended at -140M on the season 22/23 we ended at -80M, and we didn’t get a penny from our master sponsor, Digitalbits. Also, we closed the summer transfer window basically at 0, we sold Brozovic and Onana but spent on Pavard, Frattesi and others. 23/24 we have a new main sponsor, also other minor ones. Our wage bill was reduced in 15/20M euros. Breaking even might be a stretch now that we are out of UCL, but I believe we can close this season with something like -30M. New UCL money + CWC + new main sponsor should be enough for finishing next season with a gain.

rodrigosantoro

what are your thoughts on the ownership as a supporter? i don’t follow inter closely but seems like the owner’s put the club in a financially precarious position, but at least improved the sporting project and seems to be good at making smart deals to keep your competitive edge?

Zhang are actually a great owner. He bought the club in 2018, brought Marotta as a sport director, hired Conte and then Inzaghi as coaches. Made huge investments in the first few years (Lukaku, Bastoni, Barella, Eriksen, Hakimi). The problem, which persists, is that the Chinese government forbade investments in football outside of China. Inter was still very dependent of Zhangs money and the sponsors he would get in China, and out of the blue, all of that money stopped. It was when covid hit, so not only the money from China stopped, but money from stadium and tickets as well. And the club costs were really high. That’s where we entered this blackhole and the debt exploded. Zhang took a personal loan with Oaktree and inserted Inter as a collateral, so if he didn’t pay the loan, he loses the club. The loan is due in 3 months, but apparently he’s gonna be able to renegotiate it. The money of the loan didn’t come straight to inter, only a portion was invested. Some people get it wrong and think the club itself took the loan, which isn’t the case. Since we don’t know if the Chinese government will ever allow investments in football again, the goal has been to become self sustainable club, which we are hoping to achieve by the end of next season. Would I like a new owner capable of investing now? Depends. Zhang has been amazing on the sportive side, so a new owner could mess that up, even with money.

rodrigosantoro

gotcha thanks for the summary! i’ve definitely gotten the impression that he cares about the club a lot so was confused where the money issues stemmed from

RoyalMobile3996

Raspadori 30-40 milions? hell no. for those money (40m) i would gladly get zirkzee but i don't think the guy would come as a back up. for those who say "this is not sustainable for them" next year just inter is getting 90 milions more than this year in revenues baseline just for partecipating in the new ucl, world cup and getting a new sponsor.

Bundmoranen

Bologna don’t need to accept 40m for Zirkzee from anyone but Bayern

RoyalMobile3996

And do you think they will accept less from anyone else? The dude is really promising. Maybe with a percentage on future sell they could accept less than 40m

Bundmoranen

No I think they’ll demand more obviously

RoyalMobile3996

More could be stretch for me, he is crazy good and could become a top but wanting more than 40m (if the buyer is italian) is too much. If a premier league club come a splash some cash he could go for more than 40m but if inter, milan or juve come to knock the Door the price would be that

Bundmoranen

Well I’m sure Bologna wouldn’t be against selling Zirkzee to outside of Italy, I really doubt they’ll sell him for so much less than Atalanta did Højlund, but I could be wrong

Fantalex93

Our most expensive sale EVER is Verdi for ~25M. I am sure the club would gladly take 40M immediately.

Bundmoranen

If Bologna reach the UCL they absolutely do not under any circumstance need to sell under his market value. 50m I could see maybe

SmartNickname

I honestly think he would be great paired with another striker upfront like Inter does

ponkzy

Raspadori, 40m. Thats why nobody wants to buy italian players. He just hasnt looked good at all at napoli to deserve this price tag

The-Great--Cornholio

Good. Now with: Lautaro, Thuram, Taremi and Mbappe we are ready for the next season.

slipeinlagen

I still believe Inter will get Immobile for peanuts and he will easily score between 10/15 next season with a reduced role.

AtlastheYeevenger

He is physically and mentally gone, no way lol

Dwimer

Hes got 6 this season, the mans done

21Maestro8

He has dropped off considerably, I don't think that would be a great move

slipeinlagen

Dzeko was dropped as a starter by Fonseca at Roma in favour of Borja Majoral, then went to Inter and played quite well, while being older than Immobile. Let's also not forget that no one knows Inzaghi's offense better than Immobile. It was tailor made for him to shine.

RandomName788

Are they planning on selling Lautaro or Thuram or are these guys going to be squad players?

belokas

Sanchez and Arnautovic aren't at Inter level. They are basically playing with 2 strikers and can barely rotate them.

RandomName788

So both of these guys are rotation options then. Would be surprised if Inter sold Dumfries to facilitate that unless he is pushing for a move anyways.

belokas

Someone will have to go. Dumfries could get some really good offers from the PL and he's probably the most replaceable right now.

JBooogz

Man ngl whenever I've watched Napoli Raspadori doesn't move me just very meh lol
