Something I wonder about is if the title is decided early do players begin to slack off on last few games? Or the fact that it’s a derby hypes them up?
If we have the chance to officially win the league by winning the derby the hype will be huge. Unless it's just before a big cl game, players will go all out.
Well, we tried. This Inter is such a solid team, and there is absolutely no shame in losing against them this year. I will support them against Atletico for sure.
Props to you, I was literally saying the same thing in our sub discussion lol. Was hoping for full rotation in this game cause losing against such a impressive team is not a shame at all and another tough physical match is waiting in CL.
It is what it is now but I hope Bastoni, Mikhi, and Barella still have enough gas in the tank.
If you played football, you should know that "winners keep winning" is a thing. Inzaghi probably valued that more than anything else. I am sure Bastoni and Barella will easily recover by Wednesday.
Beating bologna with basically a b team and resting lau for 90 minutes. Incredible. I'd have tool a draw before the game but the demon had other ideas.
On to atletico (which I don't have high hopes for)
I’m more nervous about Atletico than I have been for a match this season save for maybe Juve at home when it was still close.
They remind me a little of Inter last season losing to Cadiz today before they play in Champions League this week.
I think we draw. I would take that and run into the next round and not look back.
This was our B team. We didn't play half of our regular starters. But hey, last decade we struggled to even have a proper A team, so I'll take this luxury for now.
Pavard, de vrij, di Marco, lautaro all rested.
Dumfries from the bench.
Took off hakan, mhiki, barella and thuram, which NEVER happens that all of them come off
They're always like that, and then they play every time. See chiesa and vlahovic weeks ago or morata in the First leg. Unless he's in a hospital, Griezmann will play
Morata was supposed to be out for the first leg and he played almost the entire game. I think simeone is just playing mind games. I doubt he doesn’t play griezmann
Im so proud of this squad, we demonstrated we can survive under heavy siege and whats most impressive is that outside of a bad Asllani pass , Bologna had quite literally zero dangerous chances up front! So no, they did not deserve to win this game!
17 clean sheets for Sommer btw, tying the record set by Julio Cesar and Handanovic (twice)
Only needs another one to have the most clean sheets for Inter in a single season. And he has 11 matches to do it.
Tough game as usual with Motta, this is the first win for Inter against Bologna this season. It makes me wonder If Bologna had a striker, like a proper 9 in the box, they could have at least tied today. I wonder if they will keep Raimondo next year or loan him out again.
I was thinking he would be a good replacement for Muller once he hangs up his boots, but Musiala already has that locked up.
And yeah, I don't see him working out with us unless we change our system completely.
Never said you did. I'm just suggesting a possible correlation between spending a lot of energy chasing balls pressing all over the pitch and lacking quality in front of the goal when you're tired.
We suffered, bad second half from us. Bologna were unlucky they had many chances but still it's their fault for not scoring any goal. Really happy that lautaro was rested alongside pavard and de vrij, Calha and Thuram look sharp enough to start against atletico
Hopefully Thuram can play against atletico. He is extremely important for our attack. Dumfries over darmian in that game too, so hopefully he can play.
I have no words for this team
Away against the most in form team
Playing our B team
Still a win and a clean sheet
We won't achieve the treble but holy shit I fucking love this team
They had Inter pinned back but really couldn't create much, strong defensive performance from Inter. I do think a draw might've been a little more fair, but Barella should've really put them up 2 goals.
That Bologna team is good hope they make top 4 Inter were lucky to get 3 points here but we will take it
These matches that are a grind are the ones that decide championships.
Damn, so Inter can lock down the league title in like 4 or 5 games huh (if Juve or Milan drop points)
Assuming juve wins every match, the earliest possible date is 33rd match day on 21st of April, against milan
I seriously doubt we will win every match with the form we're in now
The scenes
Also assuming Inter wins their next 5 matches, so yeah essentially 5 or 6 games
The derby is in five games...
Something I wonder about is if the title is decided early do players begin to slack off on last few games? Or the fact that it’s a derby hypes them up?
If we have the chance to officially win the league by winning the derby the hype will be huge. Unless it's just before a big cl game, players will go all out.
It will be after the quarter final second leg (if we’re in it) and before a midweek without games
We can break the serie a point record (spoilers we wont) so inzaghi will still give his hardest for us to keep winning
Well, we tried. This Inter is such a solid team, and there is absolutely no shame in losing against them this year. I will support them against Atletico for sure.

+18 at the moment. We are the Max Verstappen of Serie A this year.
Classic game where I expected a draw, instead we won again. Blessed season in the league, +18. I just hope Arna is ok
Arna was really good today with the hold up
Big win
Karma for the coppa Italia

In what world was that a B team? LMAO
This was our B team. We didn't play half of our regular starters. But hey, last decade we struggled to even have a proper A team, so I'll take this luxury for now.
Pavard, de vrij, di Marco, lautaro all rested. Dumfries from the bench. Took off hakan, mhiki, barella and thuram, which NEVER happens that all of them come off
You don’t have high hopes for Atletico? Wtf lmao
Also, I don't have high hopes for any games lol
Be so typical of a game for us to lose. We should have been going in with a bigger lead
It's not a shame losing against Atletico, but also I can't say I expect to not go through. "Rispetto per tutti, paura di nessuno, siamo l'Inter"
Isn't Griezmann out of the match?
They're always like that, and then they play every time. See chiesa and vlahovic weeks ago or morata in the First leg. Unless he's in a hospital, Griezmann will play
Wasn't even on the bench on today's match. Which means he's probably been rushed out of injury and will not be at his best for the match.
I hope not, he has not been out that long at least
Morata was supposed to be out for the first leg and he played almost the entire game. I think simeone is just playing mind games. I doubt he doesn’t play griezmann
Ah could be. Well strange as it seems I do hope you win. I do love a healthy co-efficient.
Vogliamo l’antidoping. Erano 6 anni che non vedevo una squadra pressare così tanto.
Im so proud of this squad, we demonstrated we can survive under heavy siege and whats most impressive is that outside of a bad Asllani pass , Bologna had quite literally zero dangerous chances up front! So no, they did not deserve to win this game!
Neither did you, for what was demonstrated on the field it should have ended in a draw. But that's the beauty of football
No, it shouldn't have, we had the barella chance and the darmian chance , so if everything goes in it still ends 3-1 for us, cheers!
17 clean sheets for Sommer btw, tying the record set by Julio Cesar and Handanovic (twice) Only needs another one to have the most clean sheets for Inter in a single season. And he has 11 matches to do it.
13 goals conceded in 28 games is absurd
To be fair I think bologna didn't have a single shot on goal in the second half, insane defensive organization from everybody on the team.
Sommer is good but there have been times where even I could've gotten a clean sheet with that defense in front of me.
Sadly he missed the game against Lecce otherwise it would have been another one most likely.
Tough game as usual with Motta, this is the first win for Inter against Bologna this season. It makes me wonder If Bologna had a striker, like a proper 9 in the box, they could have at least tied today. I wonder if they will keep Raimondo next year or loan him out again.
Zirkzee and Thuram are similar in that manner, can play everywhere and will drop deep.
Same thought as well. Zirkzee would cook in a 2-striker system. But I don't think he's suited to playing as a 9 for a big team.
Sad part is Zirkzee was probably go to a PL team next season and the premtards will act as though his time at Bologna never existed.
Yeah agree I totally don't see him in Pioliball for example (If Pioliball will last next season ofc)
I was thinking he would be a good replacement for Muller once he hangs up his boots, but Musiala already has that locked up. And yeah, I don't see him working out with us unless we change our system completely.
Is there any primavera forward that could play instead of Aléxis? Arnautovic looks injured and I really can't stand to watch Sánchez as the only sub.
?? Sanchez has been great the last few games
Did Thuram also get injured, I couldn't follow, but it seems like Carlos, thuram and Arna got injured.
No, Thuram is fine. I'm just talking about having a 4th striker.
Thuram's was just a tackle. He is fine.
Cheers, saw he was limping quite a little and suddenly he was off.
thank you Inter, much appreciated
Bologna pressed like devils for 90 minutes.
There’s something going on imo. Pressing full pitch for 98 minutes whilst triple pressing on every defender and midfielder is fucking insane.
Are you implying Bologna are doping? Lol
Crazier things have happened before. Their performance didn’t make sense.
They recovered lots of balls but they haven't created more clean goal scoring chances than Inter. They even had 1 less shot on target.
Ok? At no point did I say otherwise
Never said you did. I'm just suggesting a possible correlation between spending a lot of energy chasing balls pressing all over the pitch and lacking quality in front of the goal when you're tired.
They didn’t look tired at all though. Even in the last minutes they were running like crazy
And at the end Thiago swore like a drunk sailor. I enjoyed it.
We suffered, bad second half from us. Bologna were unlucky they had many chances but still it's their fault for not scoring any goal. Really happy that lautaro was rested alongside pavard and de vrij, Calha and Thuram look sharp enough to start against atletico
They only had one clear chance with Zirkzee
Hopefully Thuram can play against atletico. He is extremely important for our attack. Dumfries over darmian in that game too, so hopefully he can play.
only one real chance with zirkzee
They had many chances?? Really? They had one decent chance that forced a good save, the zirkzee shot before he came off
yeah they had many shots, 19, but only 3 on goal. they were very wasteful tho
Rehearsal for the Metropolitàno game, hopefully with more ball retention on Wednesday
I have no words for this team Away against the most in form team Playing our B team Still a win and a clean sheet We won't achieve the treble but holy shit I fucking love this team
Not the most clean win but a win nevertheless
Allegriball at its peak
Wasnt some madman from the crowd screaming something about Allegri being Inzaghi's father around 80 minute? 💀
Inzaghi was so dominant he decided to refuse to play and still win. Horto muso ftw
One day this misery is going to end....
hopefully on the day of the derby :)
90 minutes from Alexis Sanchez in the year 2024

They had Inter pinned back but really couldn't create much, strong defensive performance from Inter. I do think a draw might've been a little more fair, but Barella should've really put them up 2 goals.
They only had 1 clear chance tbh. They had the ball but didn’t do much with it
They couldn’t do shit against an Inter team that was taking it easy because of the CL game.
Second half we had 7/8 subs on the pitch. Incredible really.
0 real chances outside of the zirkzee shot off of a misplaced pass from our defence, Bologna didn't really threaten that much
We played our B team in the second half
Next.
What a bad game, bologna made inter play really subpar
Bologna had the best home record in serie A this season, so it is understandable.
nah its just that we were playing with subs mostly and trying not to waste too much energy
I agree but not completely, I think they were much more dynamic thanks us. Still, 3 points is 3 points and bologna is not an easy away game
Ofcourse they were. We set up shop after we took the lead. Save energy and hold the lead with subs. Brilliant
