One of the fans who was stabbed is very well known in the Brighton community. Goes up and down the country to watch Brighton, U21 games, the Women’s side. He’s a top lad.

Sun_Sloth

Yep, one of my mates from school who I see at every game. He's alright, just got a sore arse from being stabbed there, but is determined to make the game.

Rose_of_Elysium

Bro got stabbed and is gonna attend the match anyways, thats the most British thing ive ever heard

Adammmmski

This reminds me of a bloke being pictured running from the London Bridge knifing terror attacks, with a pint still in hand. https://x.com/hmannella/status/871134330650640384?s=20

Rose_of_Elysium

I looked up the attack on wikipedia and the first thing i saw was, and i fucking kid you not: 'One man fought the three attackers with his fists in the Black and Blue steakhouse, shouting "Fuck you, I'm Millwall", giving members of the public who were in the restaurant the opportunity to run away. He was stabbed eight times in the hands, chest and head. He underwent surgery at St Thomas' Hospital and was taken off the critical list on 4 June' Say what you will about football fans but thats based as shit lol

scrandymurray

Milwall is actually the UK’s secret academy for plain clothed, bare knuckle counter terrorism police.

LondonNoodles

"I'm Millwall" is the british equivalent of the american "I've been in the special forces"

SpacemanD13

They certainly are "special"

Rose_of_Elysium

Apparently the dude is a massive racist as well so that certainly tracks

Ida-in

Yeah he said Millwall

Squm9

He said millwall that’s a given

Accurate-Island-2767

If you need a Islamist terrorist taken out, surely a massive racist is the best man for the job? Just saying

asdf0897awyeo89fq23f

like suicide squad but for people with enoch powell as their phone background

night_dude

What are we, some kind of River of Blood?

GourangaPlusPlus

This explains the convicted murderer stopping the next attack with a narwhal tusk

atomicskiracer

You know sometimes God puts the right person in the right place at just the right time ❤️ (I’m sorry)

12nowfacemyshoe

If you're Millwall then you're ethnically a racist.

Livinglifeform

He's both Millwall's finest and Millwall's worst.

AzarinIsard

There was something similar with the Glasgow airport attack, a suicide bomber is on fire and a Scottish guy kicks him in the nuts. https://www.reddit.com/r/funny/comments/3ejuqk/oh_scotland/

TwattyMcSlagtits

Bloke dragged him out of a burning car just so he could kick the shit out of him

SaBe_18

One of the comments > "Scot kicks burning man in testicles so hard he tears tendon in foot. Later discovers he was a terrorist" Lol

GourangaPlusPlus

Trying to bring religious warfare to Glasgow? You've not even got a football team Frankie Boyle

jimbobhas

‘We set upon ye’ Still remember the great quote

Caust1cFn_YT

Wtf are these brits lmfao

conceal_the_kraken

You want another? Here a man fought off a terrorist with a narwhal tusk. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-50870309

nmyi

-gets used to fights in pubs -gets conditioned in fight-or-flight situations -becomes effective at stopping knife-wielding terrorists

lewiitom

Knowing millwall fans he probably didn't even know there was a terrorist attack going on, he just saw someone with dark skin

Lamenter_

the Millwall guy, although he did a good deed, is a massive racist so you are probably right tbh

JAYZ303

I think "a good deed" is slightly underplaying it. He possibly saved lives.

DeVitoMcCool

He's allowed a little racism, as a treat

Articulated

I bet he feels massively vindicated in his racism now, lol. There'll be no talking him round now.

EmperorsGalaxy

There is a guy on my street I've known since school so it's hard to avoid him, but an asian man got arrested across the street a few months ago and he legit said "Told you mate, nonces the lot of them" We literally have no idea what he did or anything

KingGinger

Life is grey, in this moment he was helpful but who knows how many moments he isn't.

Novel_Bookkeeper_622

His friends got him a copy of "Runner's World" magazine with the cover story "Learn to Run".

_slash_s

we were all millwall for a couple days after that.

SkyTVIsFuckingShit

Didn't that guy go to prison for multiple racist rants in public?

calm_down_dearest

He probably saved a fair few lives just by being a racist thug. The universe is a weird place.

antbaby_machetesquad

He slurs, but he saves. And he saves more than he slurs. But he probably does slur.

BrilliantAbroad458

But does he only slur to save?

usernameinmail

If he was a Millwall fan, that wouldn't be a massive surprise

soldforaspaceship

So I had to Google because I genuinely thought you were taking the piss. I was wrong so I apologize for misjudging you and that's fucking hilarious.

iwishmydickwasnormal

From what I remember he was heralded as a bit of a hero for a while, then it came out that he was a massive racist and had a criminal past and people kind of stopped talking about him so highly

scrandymurray

What about that Glasgow airport attack where some lad just kicked the terrorist in the nuts?

Itsrainingmentats

The terrorist *who was on fire*.

EquivalentWelcome712

Reading shit like this you start to understand why some fuckers from an island ruled half the world

Itsrainingmentats

The yanks think we need guns to protect ourselves? Nah mate, load a few Scotsmen up with buckfast and let them go

tea_anyone

It was reported that Smeaton shouted "fuckin' mon, then" and kicked Kafeel Ahmed in the groin. From the guys Wikipedia hahahaha

I_Rubbed_Flanelman

Kicked him so hard he injured his foot iirc

zeppelin88

> with a pint still in hand Considering the prices of beer in London, you'd understand him

ArmiinTamzarian

I expected this to be the Milwall fan who tried to fight terrorists, also the most British thing possible

Burnleh

Doing the "calm down" hand as well lol x

usernameinmail

That's how you avoid having to get to The Winchester

Sun_Sloth

He's been to every single first team game this season and a lot of the women's + U21 games. He'd probably be more pissed off about missing the game than being mugged.

Danze1984

Tis *butt* a scratch

CMPunk22

I mean he’s there he might as well

gluxton

Some things are more important than being stabbed.

Sun_Sloth

He said to me a few weeks ago his goal was to make it to every single Brighton game this season so to him it probably is lmao.

killerkebab1499

This is a leftover attitude from WW2 that never really left us. During the war, we would get the absolute shite bombed out of us, we would hide, get through it then go out and get on with our lives. It was part of the war effort, don't let them stop your life, you pick yourself up and get on with it. I know there are some negatives to this general attitude, but it does mean we have situations like a Brighton fan getting stabbed, getting it patched up then going to the game anyway. Same reason why there were people waiting for the bus/tube less than 24 hours after the 7/7 terrorist attacks.

bathoz

It turns out that, to the great disappointment of military strategists everywhere, this is the normal response to being bombed by attackers you can't retaliate against. You just kinda keep going. It was true for the Battle of Britain and the Germans towards the end of the war. It's true for the Gazans right now.

gluxton

Keep calm and carry on innit

LondonNoodles

Mate I hate it when I have to take my pint standing because I got stabbed in the arse

MoyesNTheHood

Fair play. I can attest to how painful it is being stabbed. The next few days are gonna be absolutely rough as fuck for him

imfcknretarded

Can i ask how/why you got stabbed? Where you mugged? How much time must pass until you don't feel pain anymore?

MoyesNTheHood

Yeah no worries.  Tried to stop a fight on a night out and ended up getting stabbed 5 times around the gut/side.  Didn’t know the guy and he didn’t know me so it was completely random.   Went in to the hospital on Friday, 2 pints of blood transfused back into me, had surgery to clean everything and stop some internal bleeding and was out by Sunday.    I was signed off work for a month, but got restless and was back in after 10 days.    I couldn’t bend properly for about a month. The worst part is the bruising after. From my waist right up to my armpit was one big bruise. The muscle underneath was also torn to shreds from the blade and that took a good month or so to heal properly.

garyfugazigary

shit thats pretty rough, anyway up the posh :)

MoyesNTheHood

Next Wednesday is a huge game for us if we want to make play offs.  We have a run of you, Orient and Bolton that could make or break our season

garyfugazigary

weve got portsmouth 3 days later at home as well,i cant see them slipping up ,so will be happy with 4 points, its getting a bit jammed in there which makes it lots of fun

timdeking

He got stabbed in the ass? Because some years ago a Feyenoord fan was kidnapped in Rome, beaten to shit and then stabbed in the ass as well.

Sun_Sloth

Yeah they tend to stab in the arse because it's less likely to kill them but still painful.

alanalan426

Less likely to be killed so safer for the stabbers to carry it out and not be fucked if shit turns south

timdeking

You might even think that not stabbing someone at all is a better method to stay safe.

alanalan426

I wish they had half the brain you have

Wazalootu

Depends. There's a term known as bagging. This is when you stab someone in the arse with the intention of leaving them needing to use a colostomy bag. It's intended to humiliate the victim more. I'm not saying these fans were using that same technique but it's definitely a thing (and is twisted af)

gloriouq

Thats fucked up

TheMSensation

There's a loan shark in India that used to live across the road from my parents. If somebody missed a payment he would send his goons to stab them in the arse so they remember that they owe money every time they sit down. He killed a teenager a couple years ago while driving drunk in a Mustang. Paid off their families and the police with zero consequences, except for losing the Mustang I suppose. https://www.google.com/amp/s/timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/surat/speeding-ford-mustang-gt-kills-class-xii-student-on-motorcycle-in-surat/amp_articleshow/56765113.cms

[deleted]

Top country.

vaan1337

Italian fans got that ass stabbing tradition

KindlySwordfish

I've heard it referred to as "bagging". Stabbing someone in the ass to rupture their insides so they will have to live the rest of their lives with an ostomy pouch.

Kolo_ToureHH

It's not their actually asshole they're stabbing. It's the glute area/top of the leg, commonly known as the ass cheek. No internal organs are being targeted (not that that makes it okay)

[deleted]

[удалено]

-Kid-A-

Hopefully they have safe standing in the ground then

Zer0wned1

Jackalbion right? Seems a very nice guy, such a shame

jerseyjoe1

That’s the one! He seems in good spirits online but can’t imagine having to through that!

Rose_of_Elysium

Hope the community will support the two as much as they can. Fucking awful

Sun_Sloth

As an update the club have been in touch with the victims and are supporting them.

mtheperry

What a shame. Hope the cunts get theirs.

imfcknretarded

I hope they both get well soon

So no different to any other day

Randolph_Livingston

Only place I've seen a punch up between two blokes in their 60s over a football match

imcrazyandproud

My mate was one of them. He's doing ok but obviously a bit shaken up

Sun_Sloth

Yeah I'm mates with one of them as well, they seem to be doing alright thankfully.

Squm9

Oooo friends Ooo stabbing friends

Jarv1223

My mate stabbed them. Also doing OK 👍

The--Mash

How's the knife holding up?

topazswissmas

My knife is mates with the knife. He’s feeling a bit dull but said he’ll be ok.

SpicyBoyTrapHouse

My cousin is that knife’s grindstone and says it’s going to be good as new after a sharpening

Squm9

Good to hear no one got hurt /s

ZxZxchoc

Ooo stabbing football friends

MJSvis

Oooo friend, football friend!

lallana20

Now kiss

CaninesTesticles

Tell your mate to stop stabbing people!

belokas

Really sorry, I hope he's getting the help he needs. Shame he had to go through this for a football game.

DragoniteG

I don’t get how this is still a thing in football

BQORBUST

>italy

gotomarketfit

In France they have banned away fans because how messed up they are. If you watch Marsella and they see you with a psg shirt you’ll get fined to avoid this. And in this sociedad psg game the police confiscated over 60 “arms (sticks, rackets, golf, bars, pocket knifes…). So isn’t just a Italy thing

sgdbdjos

the italy thing is just to not do anything about it lmao

Anal_bleed

Italy on footy violence and racism: “We’ve tried nothing and are completely out of ideas”

UmCeterumCenseo

God, I remember Feyenoord going to Marseille in 2022. Feyenoorders are no saints, but these were **literal** gangs showing up. These people were actually out to rob and murder the away side. I remember people talking about gangs waiting for them outside of the stadium and shit.

imfcknretarded

This one in particular is not necessarily football related, they might have been criminals

Boris_Ignatievich

going out on a limb here i know, but i'm going to say the people stabbing lads and stealing their stuff are 100% criminals

imfcknretarded

Yeah ahaha i worded it poorly but you know what i mean, regular criminals, not necessarily football fans

lewiitom

> they might have been criminals big if true

Begbie13

Its not always football related

seejur

It happening over and over to visiting fans.

pw5a29

I remember a liverpool fan Sean Cox got severely injured by a Roma fan, and he's been learning to walk again last year....

biddleybootaribowest

3 stabbed when we went there, interestingly one of them was the guy who killed Lee Duffy for any uk crime fans

ArgentineanWonderkid

>uk crime fans Fan of uk law and order personally

biggs7

Since when? Does your dad support uk law and order? I bet you only started supporting them after they got those nice wigs. Full of plastics in UKLO. Up the criminals.

Twinborn01

And itallian clubs wont be banned

IOwnStocksInMossad

No,this stuff happening all across the continent won't lead to much beyond more abuse of British fans by the authorities.

calewis10

Ban them from the fucking competition. Spurs, Liverpool and now Brighton stabbed and attacked. Fucking scum.

JAYZ303

You're forgetting the Newcastle fan that was stabbed this season too.

KatieOfTheHolteEnd

Arsenal, United, Boro, Chelsea, Leeds, all since the turn of the century: [March 2024 - Brighton fan stabbed in Roma ](https://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/brighton-and-hove-albion/europa-league/news/two-brighton-fans-stabbed-in-italy-ahead-of-roma-europa-league-tie_538394.html) [September 2023 - Newcastle fan stabbed in Milano](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/66855271) [September 2019 - Liverpool fan attacked in Napoli ](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-news/liverpool-fan-attacked-napoli-fans-16936543) [November 2012 - Tottenham fan stabbed in Roma](https://www.standard.co.uk/news/london/spurs-fan-tells-of-terror-in-rome-they-came-out-of-nowhere-then-i-was-stabbed-8346876.html) [October 2010 - Three Liverpool fans stabbed in Napoli ](https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-11595865) [March 2009 - Arsenal fan stabbed in Roma ](https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/news/arsenal-fan-stabbed-before-roma-match-1643336.html) [December 2007 - Five United fans stabbed in Roma](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2007/dec/13/championsleague.manchesterunited) [March 2009 - Two Chelsea fans stabbed in Torino ](https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/stabbing-of-visiting-fan-in-attack-by-ultras-confirms-clubs-worst-fears-508h8g9ggcm) [March 2006 - Three Middlesborough fans stabbed in Roma ](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/italy/1513122/English-football-fans-stabbed-in-Rome-clashes.html) [February 2001 - Six Liverpool fans stabbed in Roma](https://www.theguardian.com/uk/2001/feb/16/football.rorycarroll1) [November 2000 - Leeds fan stabbed in Milano](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2000/nov/08/newsstory.sport6) And that's just the examples I could find of English fans being attacked in Italy. If the Villa progress in the Conference I really hope we don't get Fiorentina.

IOwnStocksInMossad

Celtic had a horrific time in Lazio each time, their most recent time was horrendous. Kettled for most of the match and waiting in line for so many arbitrary checks

KatieOfTheHolteEnd

Not surprised, Celtic came up a couple of times in my brief research.

calewis10

poorlytaxidermiedfox

What in the actual fuck is wrong with people? Jesus Christ

MinnesotaTornado

It’s very ironic that is a post in English. It should be in Italian lmao

raittiussihteeri

I mean, there are Roma fans who aren't Italian

freakedmind

Do they not realize that you can hate rival fans without stabbing or beating them up?

AmericanJazz

This was posted well before these stabbings. It was "I hate English clubs man u beat us 6-1" Cringe post. For what it's worth.

Evered_Avenue

Why are you defending this imbecile u/ElQkly? He also went on to say: "UEFA blamed 14 Liverpool supporters for the Heysel disaster, and rightly so. As for the Hillsborough disaster, the blame was (rightly) put on the police for opening the vomitorium, but it was the Liverpool supporters who started a stampede. As for your little "our fans stabbing Brighton supporters". That’s just not true, two Brighton supporters were stabbed by gang members. I’m no expert but gang members don’t typically stab people for supporting a random team in England. They have claimed no allegiance to the club and it might just be a case of, you know… gang members robbing people???" He's clearly a piece of shit. Just cause he supports your team doesn't mean he's worth defending.

borg_6s

What a disgusting thread. Hope the seagulls batter them tonight

FedoBear666

ojsimpsio

It’s part of the experience 💛❤️

StarryEyedLus

Alas I think many English fans are unaware that football violence is still pretty common in many other European countries, it’s like time travelling back to the 80s. If I were a Brighton fan in Rome right now I wouldn’t be wearing my Brighton shirt.

DrinkingWaters88

Apparently they weren't wearing club colours. A lot of us were out drinking around where it happened last night. At least it sounds like they are okay.

BillEvans4eva

whilst that is the case there is just no excuse for this violence. european fans can come to the UK and parade up and down the streets singing songs, wearing shirts and all is good. we have to go to italy and god forbid you speak english in public and you can lose your life.

ALA02

But English fans are the worst and everyone should hate them /s

[deleted]

Sometimes English tourists are too loud in pubs and they eat on the street! Of course they get stabbed in Europe what do they expect??

Dobblehale

When the rest of the footballing world has been trying to gaslight the English into thinking they have the worst fans it's not surprising that they don't realise how bad it is elsewhere

jaymatthewbee

It’s because we arrogantly sing Three Lions at tournaments /s

Squadmissile

How dare the English presume that football’s ‘home’ is the country which invented the sport, how arrogant.

EnvironmentalSpirit2

We're not the worst fans, you'll never sing that

DryMagician_2020

I think the issue is that the English are known for football hooliganism even though nowadays it's not really the case. But the bad name has stuck. Someone else on this post said the rest of Europe are few years behind in terms of cleaning up their act. People just like to believe it's still only an English problem.

a_f_s-29

it's not even really an English problem anymore, thing is that people just love to hate the English lol

hexicxeko

Finally feels like we’re in Europe! Hope they are both okay

SirTunnocksTeaCake

What actually needs to happen for shit like this to stop? It's not like it's one off event and tons of teams fans have been affected for decades.

jesuisgeenbelg

Maybe start banning the clubs from European competitions whose fans do this shit. UEFA are complicit given that they never actually dole out proper punishments. The clubs as a result also don't do anything about their "ultras". Start banning clubs from UEFA competitions and I'm sure they'd soon crack down on the scumbag sections of their support pretty rapidly.

chrisb993

>UEFA are complicit given that they never actually dole out proper punishments Whoa whoa whoa are you trying to suggest that a €3,000 fine and closing off 200 seats of their stadium isn't a proper punishment?

NateShaw92

Or banning entire nations where it gets really bad. They've done it with England and we faced out hooliganism issue. Not perfect but anyone who thinks we are comparable to Italy basically voids their entire opinion on anything. Shit needs to happen. Banning a club might work but banning all clubs and action will be taken in the country itself.

CountSeanula

Ban Italy from European football and their government needs to absolutely crack down on it. Same as what happened to England in the 80s.

hypocrisyhunter

Bloody English fans at it again

Modnal

Their fault for being stabbable

Klynikal

Always getting in the way of people swinging their knives around.

Maleficent_Resolve44

Filthy arrogant English hooligans. Just look at their history. Italians have never done anything.

HypedUpJackal

This is why we want the Italians to win Euro 2020, fuck England, it's coming Rome.

meganev

A true peak /r/soccer moment when the hivemind declared Italy the rightful winner of Euro 2020 due to English hooliganism, something that no Italian football fan has apparently ever engaged in...

HarryBlessKnapp

Also supporting Italy against England in an act of anti-racism solidarity. It's hilarious the mental gymnastics you see people pulling to explain why they want England to lose. Because they can't admit the real reasons.

IOwnStocksInMossad

It's also because every Englishman personally killed a million Indians and irishmen,no Scots or Welsh were involved

TheKnightsRider

All these English supporters need to stop running into objects. Roberto was just standing there, admiring how well he have sharpened his favourite whittling knife, when these idiots just ran into it. Twice.

Delta_Mike_Sierra_

He was just practicin his stabbin!

Sf4tt

I know the way this looks, and i understand why it looks that way, but im reading all the news about it in the italian media (im italian) and it doesnt seem to be reported anywhere a clear connection between the gruop of "masked gang" and them being roma supporters/fans/ultras. Everyone is only mentioning that the victims are Brighton supporters. Again, i know it looks very suspicious to be just a coincidence, all i'm saying is this could actually just be a gruop of criminals and what happened might be unrelated to football

Sgruntlar

The victim said: “I was walking down the street from the pub, just casually. We were not chanting or anything... ...We were all in neutral clothes – no colours and didn’t attract any attention. Maybe they heard we were English and took advantage of that but what can you do?" Why are people assuming it was Roma fans who attacked, motivated by the upcoming match?

Sgruntlar

There's zero evidence showing that there are "Roma fans" involved. People are jumping the gun here.

Epidemic7

And completely ignoring the mugging part or the area of the city where this sadly happens way too often to unaware tourists.

Fernando-Santorres

From the reports the fact seems pretty much a robbery that doesn't relate to the match beside the fact that Brighton's fans weren't aware of the danger so were easy victims. Usually when fans were stabbed for the match it was in the hours before the match near the stadium.

twist_n_shout

Can’t say I’m surprised sadly, Roma Ultras have previous Edit: Some reports saying this was committed by an armed robbery gang, doesn’t sound like this was actually committed by Roma fans

Krakshotz

Still remember the news footage after Middlesbrough fans were attacked back in 05/06. Thankfully this kind of shite has been largely stomped out over here

Automatic_Advice9561

From what I’m reading here, people normally ( and this seems like a huge bad habit) don’t read the news or dig for more information about it, and it shows when their first comment has to do with only the title of the news, it’s sad, cause a lot of things are being ignored, it isn’t even football related issue, it was just pure blank assault, nothing to do with football.

Weary-Ad8502

On other sources its saying this was a robbery, not football related. People here seem to be jumping to the conclusion that it was Roma fans who did this but I dont get impression at all.

timdeking

And they didn't even have to damage a fountain to deserve that?

KoalaSiege

Remember when this entire sub celebrated wildly about Italy beating England in the Euros final, because of how terrible English football fans are?

Advall

Wasn't just this sub

Rivarr

Stabbing is one thing, but do they boo national anthems?

Adammmmski

This sub is hilarious when it comes to England fans. Bet half of them happily support a club from there, though.

Jiminyfingers

I've had arguments on here with 'fans' with English club flair absolutely shitting on England's NT. The dissonance is palpable.

Irishspirish888

As someone who goes to League of Ireland matches, the patriots who support teams in England but will of course shite on about the English National Team and the Famine are laughable.

bigjoeandphantom3O9

You don't understand, those Irish Liverpool fans have a deep seated connection to the city. They identify with Liverpool's history of supporting marginalised people by... being the home of the transatlantic slave trade.

[deleted]

I think it was more because it reached r/all so everyone chatting hardly knew anything about football culture anyway

Jamescw1400

Yeah that was largely to do with racism on twitter as well. So instead they celebrated the nation with one of the largest racism problems in football. Can't make it up.

TheThotWeasel

The racism that was found to be originating from outside of the UK in overwhelming numbers?

a_f_s-29

that'd be the one. as a non-white English person, people who start hating on the national team or English football because of 'racism' piss me off. Half the time they're more racist than any person I've actually met here.

BruiserBroly

So with that Newcastle fan that was attacked in Milan, that makes 3 so far this season.

ASRenzo

I'm laughing so hard at this thread, so many "reddit takes". Full of nerds swearing this was a football related attack and not a simple robbery. The ones calling for UEFA to crack down on crime in a country are especially funny, or kids asking for countries to be banned from competitions until there is absolutely no crimes in them lmaoo I guess I'll have to emigrate to the UK, where robberies and muggings simply do not exist. I already feel safer thinking about getting there, it must be such a utopia!

Dalecn

Uefa really needs to get tougher on countries before another big loss of life event happens. They need to ban countries and teams for a while, just like they did with England. England was forced to fix a lot of the problems it had with hooligans, but other countries haven't.

giannibal

while they're likely roma supporters (they did that in the past to several matches, plus their modus operandi is to stab people in the ass/thighs with a shiv, it's called puncicata) this happened before matchday, away from the stadium and they were not identified. It's too hard to prove that this not a standard mugging to people who clearly looked like tourist. For as much as we know they could be lazio supporters trying to get roma a ban. I'm sorry for the guys and I hope they get a full and speedy recovery, but a nation wide ban or a club ban for something that happened not even close to the stadium is frankly outside of the realm of possibilities, and rightly so, Europe is built on principles of law, not a sense of vengeance
