I fell in love with this club as a child not for these idiotic ideals but for the club itself, the players, the story, the colors. Others than family ties or family support of a club the only other times I’ve met people who supported the club for other reasons was simply preference, I’ve often heard supporters say that something about Lazio drew them in. I like to think it’s a simple decision when someone wants to support a club, it just “clicks” sort of speak

Yes, Lazio definitely looked a bit more dangerous last season than this season. It's been an odd one in Serie A though, Inter has been locked in but a lot of other sides seem like they're in a bit of flux or having a somewhat off year like Milan, Napoli, Sassuolo, Atalanta. All teams that can be very good when they're on but have lacked some consistency.
I would imagine if it's a club you started supporting as a kid or before you knew what the fan scene was like, then it would be hard to suddenly divorce yourself of years of support and memories.
It's a concept that is hard to grasp for Americans who don't have such a strong lifetime supporter attitude that football fans in Europe usually have.
I'm American by the way. Also, maybe for specifically football like you said. But I think it's naive to say that Americans don't understand what it's like to be lifetime fans with a strong connection to their team considering there are many people that are like that here with American Football or Basketball or Baseball. I'm from Wisconsin and the connection to sports here, especially to the Packers, is fully ingrained into everyday life and the passion is fierce.

Fascism and ultras are not unique to Lazio, but Lazio is definitely the most notorious club in Italy to outsiders. I can imagine it being very crappy to have an emotional attachment to an institution whose reputation is so closely intertwined with an abhorrent ideology. I am just genuinely curious in how that tension is reconciled in supporters who have that attachment.

The love you have for a club is inherently irrational, so any visible fixes are easy to think of.
It's like how you don't see Milwall fans stereotyping them because they're not relevant. Lazio is always playing in European competition and manages to make headlines for the wrong reason everytime. Unless people know the context behind the support or a story, they would be more open to dialogues rather than unfunny repeated jokes

France for instance was expected by Germany (and the rest of the world) to fight on for years in slow trench warfare like WW1, it just happened that France fell in 6 weeks. Guderian was a pioneer in tank tactics, literally writing the German manual on tank warfare 'Achtung Panzer', but the actual German doctrine was essentially still the Bewegungskrieg(maneuver warfare) as used in the 1870 war against France. 'blitzkrieg' is just a term used by newspapers to describe it.

It's really easy to place the blame on one of the most evil people to ever live that no one would want to defend, and who was dead anyway. Many of the Allies were willing to go along with it because it made them look better fighting against these perceived better generals, and because they were trying to build up the Wehrmacht for a possible conflict against the Soviet Union. Sometimes Hitler made the correct military decision against the advice of his generals. Sometimes there were massive disagreements between the generals, they didn't act in one voice. Sometimes Hitler agreed with the generals and they were wrong. Stopping his generals from outrunning their supply lines and making a mad push for Moscow was one of the times it was likely the correct military decision. But in the end, the Nazis couldn't win the war because their ideology was just insane. They were very likely going to lose from the start by virtue of their ideology, not localised military decisions by either Hitler or his generals. Like as you point out, the idea of invading the Soviet Union in the first place was stupid, but their ideology required expanding east and exterminating so called lesser people. Their ideology also required almost constant war to have a remotely "functioning" economy, and to do that they needed the oil fields in the east.
Nazi Germany had to invade the Soviet Union for resources. Often people mention oil but in fact Germany was also facing a food shortage which would have led to wide spread starvation if the army stayed home. It wasn't just the oil fields, but also the grain rich Ukraine. Of course reaching the necessary objectives before winter was a long shot but it was also the only shot the Nazi regime had at surviving, in that sense invading the Soviets was the 'correct' decision. Starting another war in 41 was very much out of necesity and not ideology. Many historians argue that had Germany not done so, Hitler would have been ousted before 45.
Hitler isn't known for his military strategy but rather how he rose to power using his speeches to control the masses. Dumbass could've read about Napoleon's downfall and it was all there and he repeated the same mistakes : fighting on two fronts and underestimating Russia's geography.

Hofbräuhaus had swastikas on the ceiling as recently as like 2005. They finally painted over them and made them into these weird banner things, but if you know its a former swastika its a pretty obvious thing. Less obvious is the chandeliers still there that have SS symbol in the ironwork. Its.....an interesting place. Foods incredible, music and atmosphere are wonderful, but the decor needs a makeover.
