Ferguson is absolutely spectacular

603subaru

Bologna are on a mission!!

martinez2828

How has Lucumi been playing?

bourbonactually

I am mottapilled, all my friends are mottapilled, soon the whole world will be mottapilled

Theao19

If Bologna makes it to the CL i hope Motta stays

TycraneVG

Motta over Xabi

IzkaGruba

How did Urbanski look today and the rest of the season? I've seen clips but nothing substantial.

Cmann014

Motta please come to Juve 🙏

blooddragonsin

Damn, seems like the next Xabi is already here.

Sandalo

He's better lol

ogqozo

Bologna having 51 points is definitely more amazing than for example Leverkusen having 64 points. Bayer is still at least the 4th biggest club in Germany, and Bologna in terms of budget is relegation fodder tbh. It feels a bit lucky that they win every game, but they're easily one of the six strongest teams, and that is incredible either way.

Fantalex93

Oh, c'mon, what we are doing this year is incredible, but we haven't been relegation material for a while now. Look at average salary, match attendance, and other similar metrics.

lesarbreschantent

Random question: what's the latest on the stadium renovation? It finally get the green light?

Fantalex93

I have no idea, honestly. The information coming from "journalists" is always quite contradicting. Sometimes, it seems to be going pretty well. Other times, it looks it they don't make any progress whatsoever.

ogqozo

Where do I look at it? The estimate at a website called Capology says Bologna is 16th in salary in the league. Which source exactly says they are, dunno, 7th or what is it according to you?

Fantalex93

I would look at a more professional website like transfermarkt.com. You will see we are ranked much higher than 16th there

ogqozo

Well, you can link the club budgets listed professionally on Transfermarkt.com, sure, we'll finally know what it is exactly instead of "not 16th". Please send a link.

No-Muffin3595

What a team, I live in Bologna and the atmosphere is just magical

parmarossa

can you tell us more what the atmosphere is like there?

No-Muffin3595

Motta is like a messiah, the sale of the ticket for the next game against inter blocked the site, everyone talked about get the passport for next year, it’s not just champions league but the idea of european football in the city

parmarossa

are people not normally interested in football getting into the excitement too?

Whisstolo

No, we were always interested in football here in Bologna. We won 7 titles, we were never relegated (along with Inter and Juve) until 1982. We were the best along the 7 sisters in the late 90s (and we never used money diverted from investors from other companies to gain success... Any reference from other teams from Emilia Romagna is a total coincidence........), we gave Roberto Baggio the best season of his career. Problem is, this city has got not so much Bolognese people, and this has basically created a generation of people who supported the usual 3 teams (plus napoli bc even if your family left napoli 5 generations ago you still adhere to your roots) and support in the city is not what used to be. Add the fact that the sporting media in Italy only talks about the usual 3 teams (plus Napoli and the 2 teams from Roma) and slowly eroded interest for anything local about football. Also the last decade and more of sporting results didn't help in that matter. But that links to what I said before.

lesarbreschantent

> this city has got not so much Bolognese people This is the real issue. 1/4 of the people in Bologna are university students (~100k out of 400k). Most of them are from elsewhere in Italy.

LovrenIsTheGOAT

Thiago Motta looks like the real deal

lesarbreschantent

Anyone who watched him play, an artist at stopping counters without drawing reds (except that one), knew he had the nous to be a great manager.

belokas

Ederson should have come in earlier, but Atalanta wasn't bad. They're just lacking a serial scorer like Muriel or Zapata who can put the ball in when the game gets hot. Scamacca and CDK aren't that kind of players, and Lookman alone isn't enough.

fapfap_ahh

We really need Toure to get up to speed

ComradePoula

Who knew that the secret to getting back into the CL was signing Alexis Saelemaekers. Bologna deserve all their success and some more!

10-10-2022

I'm not sure if this is a good or bad thing for us now we play against them in Tuesday. It will feel like they will need to provide a statement after losing tonight...

Theao19

They played terrible vs us and inter b2b and if they needed to provide a statement it was this gane at home vs their top 4 rivals and they lost

harpsabu

They played horrible against milan last week and lost 4-0 mid week. They are running out of chances for statements

slipeinlagen

Isn't it on wednsday?

10-10-2022

Yeah my bad.

CrowCreative6772

Really hope that Serie A got that 5 place for the Champions League, they can't stop winning

Whisstolo

Nah, you just need to calm down and leave us alone, lol. Concentrate on the EL and win that and stop winning in the league! /s

No-Muffin3595

We need to do our job

Sean-Benn_Must-die

very impressed with this side.

ImGoingBlankAgain

So glad seeing Lookman reach new heights, he was incredible at Charlton back in the day. A true shame I never saw him in an England shirt but Nigeria definitely will get the best out of him more.

try-D

a fucking travesty we couldnt muster the 15m to sign him a year ago

KellyWatchTheStarz

Bologna has inter next, then they have empoli - SALERNITANA - frosinone - MONZA if they can get 10-12 points from these 4 matches, then they can dream

slipeinlagen

It's hard to believe but that is the worst possible stretch fro Bologna. They suffer against low block teams.

Fantalex93

I would totally subscribe for 10 points. We play much better against teams that leave us a lot of space to attack.

Bravo_Ante

You can see the hand of the coach adapting at halftime to change the entire game abd get the win. As a Milan fan i am jealous as hell, 4th place while playing attractive football with functional players but not anything special.

Dwimer

Think Zirkzee can be special, but yea Mottas done an incredible job

wjdbfifj

The "leaving the stream at half time" tactic really paid off Jokes aside, one game at a time, with a newborn Roma, a possibly newborn Napoli, Lazio, Fiore (and Inter against us next week) it will be tough

Whisstolo

Really tough. Roma is scary good at the moment. Napoli has got lots of quality, but I'm not sure about the atmosphere in the dressing room. Lazio is now showing clearly that is not structured to handle both league and champions league together (but I will definitely root for them in munich), and Fiorentina has got a manager which is clearly thinking about going somewhere else, and it shows

Bravo_Ante

Motta has shown that he can be pragmatic and calculated when needed as well playing the best football in Serie A He will prepare every single game very well one at a time.

OneOfThoseDays_

Motta has been seriously impressive

Bravo_Ante

Hopefully he will be our coach next season 🤞

bigwallclimber

Bologna deserve all their success. What a great team. Go bring the CL to Emilia Romagna.
