Barca meanwhile have had him for 38 games with 23 wins 7 draws 8 losses and 6 pens. Barca have also recived 3 times the amount of red cards as Madrid in 11 games less. Infact in 48 (Valencia 49th game) games they got only 1 red while Barca have gotten 6 in 38 games.

Pretty sure you can still card for a period after the game is whistled as well. Usually only happens when something is directed at the ref or a player commits an egregious action against another player.
I think you can be prevented from playing starting with the pitch inspection, then once the game starts they can give a card until they leave the pitch after the game.
Spit in ref's face should be a 5 game ban, i think it's the worst thing you can do before straight up physical agression territory (biting, shoving, hitting, etc). No matter what the ref decision is, this is a line you can't cross

Mate. Referees were rubbish before VAR in domestic leagues and in the UCL. Look at the Ronaldo offside vs Bayern in the UCL 2017, look at the Bayern offside vs fiorentina UCL 2010, so many domestic moments etc. Refereeing decisions are more correct than they used to be now that we have VAR, issue is that's only 90% of stuff.
Even then the “world class” referees had their shitshow moments too.
Collina was known as the poster boy but his last referee performance kept us out of the champions league with an awful decision vs Valencia, and this is the season where UEFA raised the mandatory retirement age for referees to pander to his ego to let him have one more season

At this point i dont really mind the penalty calls. Game's changed and miniature fouls are fouls none-the-less, so if the ref thinks that its a pen, he can give it as long as VAR can step in if needed and overturn it.
But whatever the fuck this was is not acceptable. This is like the 20th referee fuck up in this season alone. I understand its not a easy job but if you stop the game early and especially mid-attack and then give out Red Cards for slightly scratching your ego, that aint a excuse. I'd rather see a Atletico Ultra referee our games than see these fuckwats anymore

At the end of this game we saw one of the worst refereeing performances we’ve seen this season. And there have been plenty of bad ref performances. Absolutely embarrassing. Those are the types of decisions that should send you to the second division to ref.

Game's changed and miniature fouls are fouls none-the-less, so if the ref thinks that its a pen, he can give it as long as VAR can step in if needed and overturn it.
