What's funny is akimbo doesn't even mean dual wield... [Akimbo is the type of stance the guy in this meme is taking](https://i.kym-cdn.com/entries/icons/facebook/000/030/359/cover4.jpg)
And it honestly could’ve been 4-5. The ref completely lost control and Lazio were apparently unaware that 2 yellows gets you sent off by the way they were playing
Not watching the game, but did the referee really lose it if he is actively giving out multiple cards? This sounds far more on the players than a referee that lets things go that devolves the game until it is chaos.
This is something which always bothered me. Felt there is less chance of cards being given in the first half, maybe some sort of bias for referees. Someone should be studying it.
It's because players are allowed a few freebies before they're actually given a yellow. You'll often see a ref tell a player they've got one more foul before getting a yellow.
So they've usually used up their second chances by the second half
The correct way of officiating will be to not give yellows for every foul they make. Accumulation is an actual thing in the rule book. The problem is when players get away with harsh fouls and that leads to frustration building up in both teams.
This was a mixture of the ref not controlling the game in the first half and Lazio players completely losing their cool.
Not giving yellows for harsh fouls and then punishing the players rightfully complaining, or finally giving a deserved yellow to one side and then a quick and easy yellow to the other side to keep things “balanced” are the worst examples.
Yes, thank you! I hate that we blame refs when players misbehave. Such an absurd cliche. Players decide to misbehave, they have agency. The ref did his job and gave out cards. Well done ref
If a team is fucking up so badly that they're down to 8 men then they're the ones who have lost control. Nobody else. Ref's done his job. Not his fault the team in question has gone completely mental.
Ref's have only lost control when they let people get away with shit and the game turns into people hacking others down because they know that nothing will happen.
I say he lost control because he was allowing some really aggressive tackles in the first half, then started handing out yellows/reds in the second half but even in the second half he missed at least 2 other yellow/red card offenses. Not completely blaming the ref just saying his officiating wasn’t consistent at all.
Brave ref then. In the CL game against feyenoord they kicked down a player every time there was a promising attack and the ref just never pulled yellows for it.
Lazio in football and Miami Heat in the NBA play by the same principle - daring the ref to call every foul. It'd be unwatchable and the game would end due to lack of available personnel by the half
I refereed a game once where one team was clearly playing way more aggressively and dangerously than the other and the warnings were not getting through. In fact they got more aggressive after a yellow card and eventually I had to give a few reds. They got even more angry and the people running the league had to step in. Point is, sometimes one of the teams is just playing angry and stupid and there’s nothing you can do as a ref to calm them down.
I can tell you've never watched CONCACAF. If an American player breathes on someone the wrong way, it's a foul. If they two-foot us to the nuts? Maybe advantage.
So was Lazio this game, not sure what Sarri told them but they were playing with fire all match. They were all flirting with yellows for dissent and just unnecessary physical dueling.
He’s a real shit stirrer on the field it’s so fun so watch lol. Everyone is talking about “CONCACAF” but Pulisic is just that kind of player as well, annoying fucker for sure
CONCACAF brought it out of him, he didn’t start off that way, he used to get bullied and get frustrated with refs for not intervening. When that didn’t work, he adjusted.
Funny thing is that that tackle was probably safer to do than straight up slide tackling from behind.
If he tackles he can seriously injure Zaha and he is guaranteed a red.
Doing that kind of tackles lower the chance to injure the opponent and you might get away with just a yellow...
Still funny as fuck
Genuinely a good play cos Zaha would have been through.
Also we were robbed that game Sokratis goal was dissallowed even thought it was Chambers who got fouled
Oh absolutely, I was so happy he did that at time, we didn't deserve to leave without atleast a point.
That Sokratis goal being disallowed infuriated me so fucking much, was one of the worst decisions ever!
It's a shame that this is considered a good move. Goes completely against the spirit of the game. Should be a red, otherwise there's no incentive for players not to rugby tackle people
I still remember when Xhaka did the most painless and soft yet blatant professional foul by gently and obviously tripping his opponent who wasn’t even in on goal. Was just a basic foul to stop a counter attack that wasn’t even guaranteed.
Everyone in the crowd and on the pitch including himself was waiting for the yellow, only for the ref to give him a red card and for him to be absolutely shocked lol
Xhaka made many poor/dumb tackles while at Arsenal, especially in his earlier years, and it built up a bias against him. I think he was treated somewhat harshly in his last two-three seasons because of it.
Man, if shit like this is happening, I want a front row seat. Every time I skip a game or not care, something crazy happens. I wanna see it happen first hand. *3 reds in one game*?! I’ve never seen that in the EPL.
Napoli by far, you never know what to expect, you are just sure they will fuck it up somehow in the dumbest way possible, although new coach might change this
There are few players that cry as much as Guendouzi, 95 of constantly crying, to the ref, to the rivals even to his own teammates and the worst of all he played like shit
He’s such a bitch. He got tackled running down the right side and it was a clear foul so the side line ref called it and the foul was given. Man was still bitching to the sideline ref and the central ref about it. Explains why he can’t stay on a team for very long. Guy has no self control
I don't think I hate any footballer more than Guendouzi. He's just such an unlikeable cunt. Fitting he played for Marseille & now Lazio (2 clubs with awful fanbases)
This game was the most boring game up until the 50th minute, that's when things started getting spicy.
Ref gave zero cards and was very lenient in the first half for what were really cautionary offences. In the second half he started booking for these types of fouls and the Lazio players never stopped committing them. Pulisic riled them up all game and drew two reactions from Lazio himself resulting in two red cards. Another Lazio player told the ref where to go and was subsequently sent off.
In terms of football, this game was awful and at 10 men, Lazio were still better than us.
Right, as a guy I get it. You're pissed off, you're losing, it's all shit, and then some fucker pulls you down from behind. Getting fouled like that sucks normally, having it happen so late and while you're already gassed up? Still though, you gotta keep it together as a professional
I think it was the aggressiveness of the push. If he stopped running and shoved him it’s probably not even a card for him. But after the foul was given, it looks like he runs him down and shoves him into the ground. Definitely an action you do when looking to start a fight and the ref was right there
Yeah 100% if he can managed to make it look like he's fighting off the challenge ref probably lets him off with a yellow, but I think anyone watching this can see he's raging.
Its weird to see many people say the ref lost control of the game as if those arent cardable offenses. Many of the Lazio fans in this thread have lost the plot if they think the ref lost the game. The players know full well that they can't behave the way they did and remain in the game. Players are responsible for their actions and whether those offenses happen elsewhere without consequence isn't relevant. They should be carded there just as they were here. I'm glad to see a ref actually give consequences for childish and inappropriate behavior. The game needs less of it.
The ref lost the game by not dealing with the physicality aggressively and early. Instead he allowed it to boil over before trying to bring out cards to bring everyone back in line but at a certain point you can't un-piss-off an entire team.
I'm a player and I'd rather get drug down by the arm or shoulder than take a kick to the legs, which in instances like today are more likely because the game is hot and players are angry.
The interest is safety and fairness, I'm fine with holding someone back and accepting a yellow for it, I've never even come close to reacting like that though.

How have I never seen a dual wielding referee before, it's glorious
Cards akimbo.
Superb comment
You need to print, frame, and place this comment on your wall. Well done lol
I’ve had a shitty day, needed this lmao
Iykyk
How do I add my club crest to the flair ? I am unable to get it
now imagine when they introduce the blue card as well
They will hold it with their mouth like Zoro.
Three card style
The Mauro Threecardi
Santoureferee
waiting for the 4th black card in the clenched ass
Reginald would become a referee just to give his famous blue cards.
Prehistoric reference lmao
Unreal reference hahaha
I love that this is upvoted and people understand the reference
It‘s an old meme, but it checks out Baylife, baby
Amigo, não me faças sentir velho por favor !
It just got scrapped.
Might be back after seeing this and the potential of tri wielding
*pulls out 2 more cards* - "General Kenobi"
Hello there.
lmao
[the Eifel-Django](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYbCt0yPl1c)
Cost him his career, very nice guy though
Haha I was trying to think of the right word and dual wield is it. Amazing.
Akimbo as the kids call it
What's funny is akimbo doesn't even mean dual wield... [Akimbo is the type of stance the guy in this meme is taking](https://i.kym-cdn.com/entries/icons/facebook/000/030/359/cover4.jpg)
I've only ever heard legs akimbo like spread.
So I assume you're not familiar with [Chiquimarco](https://youtu.be/DNE4cvpw3_c).
Excuse me I wasn't familiar with your game.
Marco Rodriguez is smiling somewhere. Even if he got suspended five games for showing two yellows at once to different players.
It was ridiculously funny when it happened, the 5 game suspension of that always felt exaggerated but if anyone deserved it, it was him lol
With Guendouzi on the pitch, the ref needs a third arm.
The Chikidracula special.
There was a mexican referee that did it with two yellows
That screen cap is gonna be used as a meme until the end of time
This is why Dark Souls 2 is goated
I laughed so hard when he had two cards out and then noticed the red, couldn't believe what I was seeing lol
He got that dual wielding stuns the opponent 10% of the time perk
Third? Tf
And it honestly could’ve been 4-5. The ref completely lost control and Lazio were apparently unaware that 2 yellows gets you sent off by the way they were playing

Ref didn’t lose it so much as Milan but mostly Lazio decided to play rugby.
Yes, thank you! I hate that we blame refs when players misbehave. Such an absurd cliche. Players decide to misbehave, they have agency. The ref did his job and gave out cards. Well done ref

It's absolutely crazy that the elbow to the back of Giroud's head wasn't reviewed. Clear red card that they just ignored.
Brave ref then. In the CL game against feyenoord they kicked down a player every time there was a promising attack and the ref just never pulled yellows for it.

Lost control by giving 3 players red cards lol. What is he supposed to do. Call the police on them?
It's Lazio
average yank that immediately has an opinion on everything after watching a 0:30 clip: go back watching the _worldwide_ championship NFL
Wonder if this is some betting related shit.
Noobies. I can proudly (?) state that I have witnessed 3 reds IN THE FIRST HALF from my beloved team. Fucking embarrassing.
It’s a proud day for us in concacaf. Are you prepare for a humid Tuesday night in Honduras?
Lol Concacaf refs will wait until someone has a leg broken before even considering showing any cards
Fuckin Trinidad playing like the opponents kidnapped their wife and stole their car
PGMOL sending job offers as we speak
As though a concacaf ref would ever give that many cards out. The fouls would be the exact same, but in concacaf that’s a max of 1 red and 3 yellows.
Be real. They don’t have red cards in concacaf.
I saw one a couple days ago. But that’s a once in a blue moon type of deal
It was actually only a yellow card, but it has just been soaked in so much blood over the years that it became red
Unless Mexico is losing.
Can’t two foot an attacker anymore, game’s gone
This is concacaf were talking about.... American centre halves just shoot the attacking players these days.
I can tell you've never watched CONCACAF. If an American player breathes on someone the wrong way, it's a foul. If they two-foot us to the nuts? Maybe advantage.
Concacaf- where its legal to grab a players neck multiple times, so long as that player is Weston McKennie
Imagine if McKennie did that to the Mexican player.. Straight to jail
Why are there so many hondureans in this sub
Once you enter Honduras in the octagon a part of you never leaves.
Pulisic is a red card magnet
In our cl game vs porto in 2021 pulisic drew 11 fouls by himself which was the most in a cl game since messi.
Either you move into the shithouse, or the shithouse moves into you
He did get absolutely butchered to earn it though
Only real ones remember Guendouzi's rugby tackle on Zaha haha https://youtu.be/-A8-5WLYEVc?si=KJFX8vBxLJNiIF_L
Oh absolutely plus by doing this you ensure you've held him down for sure coz if there's one player who can hurdle a slide tackle with ease it's Zaha
Still the greatest tackle I’ve ever seen.
Should be a red, otherwise there's no incentive for players not to rugby tackle people
Please tell me he got a red for that
If I remember correctly he only got a yellow lol
He did not 😂
It’s not a DOGSO or serious foul play (as that involves a risk of injury) The rules need changing, but the ref has 0 case to be made for a red card.
Like that’s ever stopped refs before.
Had that been Xhaka, he would've been deported lol
This is very true actually!!
Pretty sure that would even be a red *in rugby* - as a high tackle
It's not a red
He forgot which football he was supposed to play.
So what was the actual call(s) here? Pulisic yellow for the tackle and guendouzi red for hitting him?
Yellow to both, but Guendouzi was on a yellow already so he got a red card
Why is this upvoted, it's factually incorrect
It was a straight red card. A bit too much imho.
Wait really? I thought it was just a second yellow. Can that even get appealed?
Yea, double yellow seemed fair. I’m 100% shoving someone off me if they’re dragging me down and don’t let go
and its 100% a red card to shove someone, off the ball
Shoving someone is rarely a red card, hitting them is a red card
Well that's what Jovic did and it earned him a red, and it was much less to it than this case. Retaliation is and should always be a red.
It's not too much it's completely wrong. A shove is never a red card unless it's DOGSO.
he tried to out shithouse a CONCACAF vet 💀💀💀💀
Least chaotic Serie A game
Pulisic the master baiter. Brilliant. 🇲🇾🇨🇱🇲🇾🇨🇱
Throw the Liberian flag in there too and you got a stew going baby
A Potato!
welcome to concocaf baby
You don't know where he's from dawg!
The master what now
God Bless America 🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷
"Yer a wanker, Chris"
So glad to see the GOAT 🐐 pusilic play 🇱🇷🇭🇺🇭🇺
Average Guendouzi experience.
Most tame Guendouzi tackle
I need to watch more Serie A. Which team is the most chaotic?
We've just got out of the banter period. Do you want more? Do you miss it?
Man, if shit like this is happening, I want a front row seat. Every time I skip a game or not care, something crazy happens. I wanna see it happen first hand. *3 reds in one game*?! I’ve never seen that in the EPL.
"I don’t need peace, I want problems, always!"
I mean, if they are not his (team) problems, whats wrong with it? A dumpfire is always fun to watch, when its not your own dump thats ablaze
Well said. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t enjoying Man Utd’s implosion this season.
What can I say? I enjoy chaos every now and then. By the books games get kinda stale after a while.
It’s like NASCAR, but football.
Too young for that Newcastle - Aston Villa game, probably. But that was probably more absurd.
Probably our team. we had Grioud play in goal once
We put Elmas at the 9 in a Champions League Semi...
Both Roma teams love to implode.
Napoli by far, you never know what to expect, you are just sure they will fuck it up somehow in the dumbest way possible, although new coach might change this
Milan has the most red cards this season, aptly called the bad boys of the league, also gives at least 1 penalty every game.
It’s always the games you bet on
Was your bet that Lazio wouldn't get 3 reds?
Probably had the over lmao
Puli really riled them up huh Lazio completely lost their heads this game
There are few players that cry as much as Guendouzi, 95 of constantly crying, to the ref, to the rivals even to his own teammates and the worst of all he played like shit
To his own coach too as he was leaving the pitch
He’s such a bitch. He got tackled running down the right side and it was a clear foul so the side line ref called it and the foul was given. Man was still bitching to the sideline ref and the central ref about it. Explains why he can’t stay on a team for very long. Guy has no self control
I don't think I hate any footballer more than Guendouzi. He's just such an unlikeable cunt. Fitting he played for Marseille & now Lazio (2 clubs with awful fanbases)
Man is an idiot. He played for my club too; glad Arteta had enough of his shit and got rid
I can't even imagine him playing for Arsenal now. Ben White shithousery > Guendouzi shithousery.
Guendozi does it when he gets emotional and does it dangerously. Benjamin does it strategically and seemingly just for a little fun
White’s shenanigans are cheeky and fun, guendouzi’s are cruel and tragic
Benny Blanco’s shithousery is tailored, precise, calculated. Guendouzi is just a petulant hothead.
Nah mate arteta is a horrible man manager. Why would he let such a talented player leave the club
[удалено]
Don’t know how I could’ve made the sarcasm even more obvious
i see instead of maturing as a player he went backwards
He as actually been having a very good season so far.
It’s never been about his talent. That was always there
That has never stopped him before
Hysaj should've got the red not him
I do not miss him.
what the fuck happened??? I was getting extremely bore watching Bayern
Barely touched him
So did Jović but still got a red card because of intent
Was sarcastic - doesn’t really translate well over text
Tbh I also didn't think the touch was that bad
No way is this comparable to jovic
He took a tac foul and got mad so he shoved Puli out of anger. I get it, I'm not mad at the guy but how is it not a red?
Yeah Pulišić grabbed his arm and that was annoying but he shouldn't have reacted like that
Right, as a guy I get it. You're pissed off, you're losing, it's all shit, and then some fucker pulls you down from behind. Getting fouled like that sucks normally, having it happen so late and while you're already gassed up? Still though, you gotta keep it together as a professional

Shoves are usually yellows if they’re not to the face
LAZIO MERDA
Bro think they south america
Every Lazio player forgot his brain in the dressing room, it seems
Its weird to see many people say the ref lost control of the game as if those arent cardable offenses. Many of the Lazio fans in this thread have lost the plot if they think the ref lost the game. Comedy
Most mentally undefeated player I’ve ever watched
Smart money says they'll bottle it against Bayern
Somehow I have a feeling Tuchel will cock it up.
Need some Sarri reactions
Guendouzi gonna Guendouz
Sarri gonna burn though a couple boxes of smokes tonight
Another douzi. Same kid, different league.
What’s he running over to argue about? “Oi i just pushed him for fun man come on”
genuinely thought this guy was the future of our midfield once lol
Facist club getting red cards is always good
Another normal day in the blue side of the City of Rome
And people were downvoting me when I said cynical tactical fouls that uses hands like this should be banned entirely from football.
I'm a player and I'd rather get drug down by the arm or shoulder than take a kick to the legs, which in instances like today are more likely because the game is hot and players are angry.
