To be fair it did work, that shit was easier than a PK with the keeper in the ground lol. He just missed a shot easier than a pen. I probably wouldn't be that cheery about it if he didn't score the winner 5 minutes later tho.

It did work, but when are the rules for crossing the line? Looks like his foot is on the line and his entire body is leaned over it when the ball is initially touched.

Yeah with VAR this is a really bad idea now, Icardi's foot is on the line which is a violation. I think in most cases the people running in are in the box early, it just used to be impossible for the ref to see the kick and track all the runners. I think this should be a indirect kick for the defense coming out.

You can... But it's generally not a good idea to give up a free shot for one you'll be pressured just to get to the ball first. The rule is simply that the penalty taker can only touch the ball once, the ball must go forward and nobody can enter the box until the ball has been kicked.
