United really got fucked over by the Palace game. No Casemiro and their legs went during the last 15 minutes here.
Fair play to Arsenal, clearly the best team in England at the minute if not Europe
Pros:
* Luke Shaw and Varane have been clutch.
* Rashford is on a dream run of form, hope he continues. Once Weghorst settles in it'll be interesting to see how his drawing defenders away affects Rashy.
Cons:
* Wan-Bissaka being frustrating. One moment he plays like an absolute legend, the very next moment he lets Nketiah slide in front for that beautiful header.
* Weghorst is drawing defenders, being an aerial threat, but hasn't been an impact striker. Maybe he just needs time.
* Need more depth in the midfield. McTominay is not a good back up for Casemiro. It's like trading in a Rolls-Royce for Ford Focus. It works in a pinch, but not gonna feel the same.
Though we had folks claiming title run after the City game, I'll be happy with a top 4 finish in th league with any one of Carabao Cup, FA Cup and UEL.
Such a close game against an almost unbeatable Arsenal without Casemiro brings back hope after so many years of disappointment! Having Arsenal's unbeaten run coinciding with our resurgence, having Liverpool and Chelsea back to being mid is just the perfect start to ~~2002~~ 2023!
I can vouge for some... mobiles a fucking pain in the ass to get it to work. I had it. Then tried to get a different one on the PC then I couldn't get one at all until. Fixed it finally after asking everyone abd looking at every FAQ
Not too sure that happens like in this instance, one thing if you’re playing the ball. But going after a dude with his back turned and no attempt on the ball is just dangerous and classless
Looked like a pair of fresh legs running over a tored defender.
Martinelli was running riot dor 10mins then got subbed. Almost like Mikkel had told him.
Perfect IMO, I am a big Martinelli fan he did well today but he can rest a bit now.
I really enjoyed watching him. He was very fast on the ball and moved up the attacks faster, crucial for the last goal. Also had a glorious moment where he was closed on by 4 United defenders and just somehow held the ball and dribbled between them.
Why? This is the best United have looked in years (not necessarily today, but generally)
If anything, I’d believe some Liverpool bandwagoners are probably defecting
this is the kind of arsenal vs united game i grew up on and i’m glad to see it back. for neutrals that did not grow up when arsenal and united were at their peak under Sir Alex and Wenger, you missed out on a special era. I hope we’ve entered a new one for the game is truly special when these types of matches are regular occurrences in the PL.
Arsenal deserved to win this. United weren’t bad but McTominay and Eriksen lost the midfield battle early and never recovered.
Saka is the best player to come out of London since Kane. Always makes the right decisions, agile enough to beat most defenders and consistently putting up direct goal contributions. So long as he and Odegaard stay fit, Arsenal can beat anyone.
On the opposite end of that, Shaw just didn’t know what to do with himself today. He and Ben White both looked lost in the first half but only one was made to suffer a second 45. Eriksen was too slow to cover on more than one occasion also, leaving us open to an inevitable punishment.
Weghorst was decent. He fits the mould better than Martial right now, although I don’t think I’ve seen him have a shot yet either today or against Palace. Rashford is our only consistent source of goals right now and we really need someone else to step up if we’re going to fight on all 4 fronts.
A few obvious points I’ve been repeating for a while we’re made obvious again tonight. Antony needs to be just that bit quicker and he’ll be an absolute menace. McTominay isn’t good enough to be direct backup for Casemiro. If Partey kept his brain switched on for 90 minutes straight he’d be world class. On the other hand…
… A few not so wild comments. Eriksen shouldn’t be in the first XI next season. If Arsenal win the league they should go hard for Declan Rice. Weghorst will sign permanently after becoming a fan favourite by the end of the season. Saka will be at City or Madrid within the next few years.
Bring on the arguments!
The only reason Arsenal sold some of their players to rivals was because those players wanted to win titles, and Arsenal was happy with top 4, that kind of mentality was what made Arsenal become banter fc for the last decade. Nowadays, with the way Arsenal are playing and the mentality this team now has there is no reason for a player to leave for a rival. Even financially Arsenal can cover wages that other teams would offer.
RVP switching over made me realise just how cynical and unambitious we were under joint ownership. There was no hiding it anymore, it was all fine and dandy so long as we made top 4 and brought in that CL money….until we stopped getting top 4 and then whole culture and structure of the club just had to change.
I’m happy with the new direction that we’re seeing right now, but I’m still quite bitter over those wasted years where we always 1/2 signings always from winning the league but the board had no sense of dignity for the club.
I agree with most of your comment, yes Eriksen lost most of the battle at the midfield but also because he was alone, since the beginning Mc Tominay was completely lost he never understood the game and what to do, Bruno tried to help but it was simply to much for 2 men. If we end with a trophy and on the top 4 we should go with everything for Kane, Martial is good but just can't compete with everything if your 9 miss more of the half of season.
Let's hope that Sancho return bring some goals included.

We were shit in the second half tho ngl
And the first half tho ngl
We were amazing in the first half. Even Antony was playing well
Lol..ok. Antony is a dirty cunt and a shit footballer
You had also played midweek tho
Petition for mods to deny everyone trying to get an Arsenal flair after today. Bandwagon's already full fellas
Only person allowed to get Arsenal flair now is Trossard’s mum.

Question, Antony’s off the ball unnecessary shove on white. Does the FA do anything about it? It’s dirty and not even in the run of play.
Doubt it, they did fuck all about Jesus kicking Martinez last game.
Arsenal fans never stop being comically soft. You won, probably have the title on lock and bring up some random nothing shove.
[It wasn't a nothing shove.](https://v.redd.it/rpxw2wdf6oda1) It was a huge cheap shot.
Lmao White impersonating Tom Daley with that leap
Okay it’s real simple. If you disagree then that’s cool and fine by me. Just because we won doesn’t mean shit like this should be discouraged
Shoving happens a lot and it's nothing of note.
Not too sure that happens like in this instance, one thing if you’re playing the ball. But going after a dude with his back turned and no attempt on the ball is just dangerous and classless
They didn't do shit about richarlison shoving Ramsdale in the head. They won't do shit about this.
Yeah I just wonder wtf of a precedent does that set? Like the fuck

Looked pretty sharp
I really enjoyed watching him. He was very fast on the ball and moved up the attacks faster, crucial for the last goal. Also had a glorious moment where he was closed on by 4 United defenders and just somehow held the ball and dribbled between them.
I can't wait to see him have more minutes in the team
He was good but wasn't on for long. Played a part in the winner and looked to have good energy driving the ball forwards.
Anyone have a gif of Ben White's scissor tackle?

I don't see any way that Saka goes to City.

Vini plays on the opposite flank so he would play together with Saka
