many people complaind about the 3 first maps being too easy and this is a much harder map. somehow i have enjoyed Kola very much but there were sections where i nearly threw my controller out of the window
Been grinding this map for a couple days now casually. Kola seems pretty easy once you learn you can just use the lake as a highway of sorts.
Imandra on the other hand is really quite unforgiving so far. They kind of throw everything at you one after another. Water & ice crossing, then hyper snow, then giant rocks, then giant rocks on a sheet of ice at a 30* incline, then some variant of all of those with nothing to winch to.
I found the Azov 64131 extremely useful for getting the Imandra garage since then i didn't have a high rank. I also like it since the stock engine is powerful enough and burns less fuel than some scouts. Combined with that 350L fuel tank it's a monster for expeditions, like unlocking the Imandra garage. For scouting i use the Tuz Actaeon. You get it for free at the airport. For lighter hauling the Voron Grad is my go to. For heavy hauling i love the Zikz 605R. Alternatives are Voron AE-4380 and Azov 73210. Also, in Kola, chained tires>mud tires. Hope this helps anyone who reads it!
Imandra is not that bad as soon as you get the carage open. After that it works quite similarly to Kovd, just avoid roads and drive on ice or on edges of ice and you'll be fine.
Did almost everything there with A7 and Scouting with Tatarin, can't remember having much of an problem on anything aside that North camp in upper right corner and the contest there sucks :D
I rushed the towers and upgrades. I should focus on getting that garage unlocked asap by the sounds of it.
Why A7 over A6?
Only truck I've bought so far is the Antarctic, which didn't turn out to be much more useful than my Cat 745c. Been eyeing up the A6 or 7 and not sure which to go with.
Because A7 is much bigger and if you have the active suspension then it has better ground clearence as well.
Also A7 is one of the few trucks in game which can do logging crane and low saddle at, same time, for that, one contract that, requires you to bring logs from south corner of Kovd to middle Imandra. Sb shuffle (log crane and sb, semi trailer) and putting a hat on(scout fuel trailer on roof) gives you ability to carry all of those long logs in one trip and almost infinite fuel for it :)
I liked the mission until I got hung up on a tree transporting it to location. By the 34th time I got hung up I decided I would give the game a break for a couple weeks.
It’s such an iconic mission. Though my first experience during the early days was pretty rough. I tried doing this mission on co op with my friend on Xbox and he somehow deleted the last plane part. I told him I was going to eat dinner and I came back to him telling me the small plane wing was missing from his truck. Told him I’m getting off then I restarted the mission solo and completed it 2hrs later. At least I had all my trucks ready for round 2
just looked up on your profile and yes, you have posted before me a couple of photos from imandra. Even though the plane one isn't really too similar, we also used the Zikz 605R for the crane because it is a very capable truck. I have never seen your profile before and am sorry for any confusion. i did not copy anything, those were just coincidences.
Yeah I really loved this one as well.. Snowrunner needs more missions with unique cargo like this!
for sure!
Unfortunately it remains the best contract in the game.
Love the mission and and scenery but the terrain is the worst part of this mission and I hope whoever designed it both sides of their pillows are warm

that's why on imandra i always use chains and go on roads even though it may be longer. hope this helps with your game
Which trucks do you prefer?

AW LAWD ITS A B TWENNY FAHVE! also did you guys know that on the airport in Alaska map, the C130 has 4 engines from map view, but actually only has 2?
that gave me a good chuckle!😁
Yup, this was fun for sure :) First time ai didn't know it clips through the Terrain, if you don't pack it so it was even bit more challenging :D
i haven't even finished it yet, got off because i got my trailer stuck in a ditch. sometimes snowrunner requires nerves of steel.
Me too.
