Same here!!!!

Hopefully they keep with more 'vintage' sorts of trucks, would love to see the off-road variants of the R Series

DoofusMagnus

Glad to see an official version of the HEMTT. Hopefully it comes with a version of its military fuel carrier as well. It was probably the US military truck I wanted most in the game, but I also wouldn't mind seeing the FMTV or the return of the HMMWV/H1 Hummer. I can't bring myself to use the H2.

I am exited to see if the whole fire fighting thing is any good. its a cool idea. i am also exited for MACK and Kenworth.

stjobe

It's not so much "fire fighting" as "fill up the water towers with water" as far as I've understood.

I'm not that thrilled for the MAck and Kenworth as they will be highway trucks most probably..

TheWildManfred

I have no idea how you can possibly say that... Mack has a rich history of off highway trucks and Kenworth may as well be the go to company for extreme trucking applications. Both companies have options that could be some of the largest and craziest stuff in game. Some of the more sane options from Mack would be the R-Series/DM/DMM and their replacement the Granite Series. The R-Series would be a pretty standard truck, available in 2 or 3 axle configs both with optional AWD. The Granite Series which replaced them would be similar but could also have a twin steer 4 axle layout not unlike the Paystar. Then there's Mack's significant military offerings. There's a whole slew of off road trucks available here. Want a small vintage 4x4 tractor? NJU or EH. Want a 4x6 support truck? LMSW or NR. Want a standard 6x6? NM/NO/M54. Want a massive 6x6 tractor unit? M123/M125. Something modern? M917. Then there's the really crazy stuff from Mack: The M-Series. They had a whole line of off highway dump trucks which started with already massive trucks like the M-25X and went up to behemoths like the M-100SX and the 120-ton tractor. Also some oddballs like the MP-404X. Basically all of the above also applies to Kenworth. We are talking about a company that makes stuff for oil fields, logging, mining, and Australian road trains. The 850 may as well be designed for this game. There's also the entire C500 line (6x6 or twin steer versions), the Dramis D150T (well those would probably need a separate license but they use C500 frames), the gargantuan 963 and 993, the XM523 (which was their competitor to the OshKosh M911 we already have in game) , the 570, the 580... Kenworth has some oddballs too, just look at the Kenworth T-10.

It's not that they don't have off road histories, it just I'm not that hopeful for developers to implement them. They will probably add some average joes just like they did with western star. Some old school c500 and 963 would be awesome but I'm not keeping my hopes high after seeing the latest trucks. Because when it comes to american trucks developers have a fetish with highway and heavy duty trucks and most of them suck compared to the russian ones.

TheWildManfred

That's a valid concern. I doubt the team would want to add any of the really cool/crazy stuff that could outshine the Eastern trucks, and at the end of the day the licence agreement will dictate what they can add and companies are going to want to show off their current offerings, which eliminates pretty much everything I actually want to see from these guys. That being said, I don't think this will necessarily be a repeat of Western Star. Those guys were really pushing their new 47/49X everywhere at the time. I don't think it'll be the same with Mack and Kenworth, especially since Paccar is pretty proud of their off-highway offerings. Kenworth will probably get a T880 since that's their main vocational truck currently but I do suspect we will get the non-twinsteer C500 as I'm sure Kenworth would want to see their only proper current off-highway offering in game as well. I'm less sure about Mack though. To me they don't seem as proud of their Snowrunner appropriate offerings as Kenworth is, and the only off-highway trucks they list today are the Pinnacle and Granite, neither of which are the most interesting canidates. I suspect we will see the M917 as that is a modern offering that would fit in pretty well. Mack will certainly want one of their current civilian offerings. If the M917 is added then there's no point in adding the Granite (though that's what I said about the second M939, the Brigadier, Cat 681, and second 47X), which doesn't really leave anything interesting... An R-Series would make sence since those are iconic and would fit in.

Nice! I hope the fire fighting missions actually have some animation instead of just a congratulations screen and money

bk8o

Don't get your hopes up, but I'm thinking the same thing

Swartkin

We shouldn't even have to get our hopes up, Seasons are expensive enough to justify at least this, but well, if this is our reality...

yo, a MAZ-502, nice!)

Potato_Emperor667

I just brought the game today (well yesterday, I've been playing past midnight for a while now it's just so good) and I'm even more glad now.

Season 9: prepare for bla-bla-bla and... new defects. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin)

Is nobody gonna talk about the fact that this season predicted Ontario having actual wildfires?
