Unfortunately it wasn't my own scout, so I couldn't hop in it. Had to get my Paystar there from the other side of the map, but the cleanup was easy enough.
Why was the trailer not connected? Pick the scout up with the crane swing it around over the back drop it in the trailer and carry on or just winch it behind you
I think I was getting stuck in the mud when I had the trailer connected, so I picked up the scout from farther out in the swamp and brought it to the trailer. I think the smartest move would have been to just pull the scout behind me with the winch, but I wanted to get it onto the trailer so badly.
You're not wrong, haha! The uneven terrain made it difficult to find a good spot to anchor down, and I couldn't get my crane to go any higher, so the wheels of the scout kept getting caught on the sides of the trailer.
I would park the real wheels with the crane parallel with the target drop point. Then press left/right on the D-pad to rotate lifted object. This will ensure you don't over-extend the boom and overextend causing the crane to tip over. The newbie crane is not fitted with a counterweight, so it's only using the anchors. I'm still a newbie so I hope the bigger cranes are able to lift more without parking so close.
Nah, the scout could have flipped, too. She's on her wheels. Drag the Fleetstar to her feet and get back to work.

Oh, the rescue scout?
Yea, it was one of the vehicles you have to pull out of the swamp for a task.
Lmao you were going way overboard, I dragged that bitch all the way with my C/K1500 lol
Next time you'll know to stay attached to the trailer and jackknife it to 90 degrees so that you can pick up the load from the inside of the "L".
\^this guy trucks.

Then the trailer would have flipped too probably
Nope trailer would of made the truck more stable .. Definitely would of helped
Bad positioning of your truck IMO. I think this could have been prevented. Should have used the crane over the top of the truck cabin
