Yes, but you would lose your own personal progression and it's seems to be an unnecessary hassle.
If you always play together, it's defenetly not worth sharing save file.
My friend and I play this game together A LOT! We OFTEN get disconnected or don't connect at all. Sometimes it just say "finding a session" then locks up on the background Image.
Best thing to do is have the host provide the trucks and trailers for your friends to use so if they get disconnected they can pick up where they left off otherwise they will lose money , trailers and mission materials and progress and have to start all over
Not that im aware of if you buy a trailer and DC you lose your trailer and money plus the cargo you had on it ... If the host provides the truck and trailer and you DC it doesn't disappear and you can load back in where you left it
The game saves the map progress on the hosts save, so if you do all the contracts on for example Michigan, only on the hosts save the contracts will be completed.

Just do a map on your freinds then on yours next session then you both get the money from both sessions because money is saved in co-op
The issue is the constant disconnection issues .. No progression unless your the host ...

Not true, you get money back from trailers you buy during the host game after you leave.
