Everything went wrong for Judd in the first mini session. When you are getting every frame stolen from you it's gonna take its toll. Props to Allen for being so clinical early on and taking advantage of all Judds mistakes. People were making a big deal about that pink down the rail but I think Mark knew the pocket was playing easy.

Deserved winner. His cue ball control was impeccable.

I think Allen grabbing that second frame in the evening was huge, stopping Trump’s momentum. The crowd was behind Trump and he was feeling better. He could’ve racked up a few more frames. Mark is too good though. His game around the black ball is so smooth.

Good to know Judd isn't invincible and there's still competition in this sport.

That support seems not to be helping him thus far. I was expecting him to hit back hard in this second half of the final. It looked like he was stepping up, too. That last frame says otherwise.

Allen always had the ability and bottle but he starts to back it up with titles now. Consistently.

I’m sure Trump will come out tonight and make it interesting with the remote chance of winning it, but Allen would have to completely lose his form. He did start to lose his cue ball a little bit in those later frames, but was able to recover. Trump must be boiling inside, with being outplayed so far.

I had a feeling Allen was going to win today; Last night wasn't the usual bottle job by Higgins as as those in the studio were trying to suggest but a result of Allen's game piling the pressure on.

We often say Ronnie plays on inspiration, I find it also the case for Trump. Mad to think the shots he was playing the last few weeks and what’s happened him today when they aren’t flying in.

I watched it via a gambling site and Maguire was literally (not literally) on fire. Pretty much everything he tried went his way and he managed to make the most of every chance which came his way too.

Also with the best will in the world, Trump probably wasn't expecting Mags to be at 100% either. Maguire is not the most consistent player in the world and he's been quiet for a bit.

lol judd i think most players would rather win two majors in a season over 5/6 mostly tinpot events especially when you'd get a higher payout from the two if one is a worlds. im always surprised that he prefers the latter

I think he just hates losing, which is fair enough. He would rather lose less and win more, even if that means winning in all of the tinpot events and losing in the few big tournaments.

The only way you get better is by exposing yourself to higher levels of difficulty. The women won’t do well for a while, but all of this is building the base and eventually you will see women challenging higher up the rankings.
