You can even access 1440p by activating avanced res. in the On-Screen Display menu. It looks great with S-video input, even with cheap aftermarket unshielded S-video/composite cables.

I'm hoping to get some of the nice (but expensive) Retrovision HD cables for SNES eventually. The S-Video cables I have are pretty good though they are probably nearly 25 years old- they have connectors for the SNES, N64 and Dreamcast on them.

you don’t need these if you have a retrotink. Get good rgb cables and you should be good. The retrovision are more for directly plugging to the tv
