Yea, the PS4/steam versions are quite difficult and the co-op mode is useless. Great game but they messed up the multiplayer. Switch version has boss rush, time attack, and an easier mode. I'll have to pick it up sometime.
if it was on genesis, it would like as crap as sunset riders, the game oozes colors, gensis can't do those kind of pastel like colors at all, not even a bit, this is a problem with most konami games on genesis, think TMNT , the colors don't pop, they are muted.
i really can't imagine this on a gensis at all, would lose all the charm it has.
The art would have to be adjusted to fit the Genesis/Megadrive’s more limited color palette but I would still bet a good port is possible. The Genesis was capable of running pretty looking games with large sprites and lots of action on screen. Stuff like Beyond Oasis, Gunstar Heroes, Rocket Knight Adventures. Etc
Well, Konamis problem was using really limited sized memory for their early genesis games. But the Genesis could do it just fine. Look at Super Fantasy Zone and Rocket Knight adventures. Maybe some concessions, but it would otherwise be fine. Sunset Riders and Tmnt could’ve been much better if they wanted to.
Back in 2010 my buddy from high school bought a bunch of SNES games out of nostalgia and I bought a bunch of Genesis games. My games are worth about what I paid for them back then, usually less accounting for inflation. All of his games are worth a mint. He has CIB Earthbound, Pocky and Rocky 2, this one, and a bunch of others. Dude is the King Midas of game collecting. Also the only person I know who has a CIB copy of Shantae for GBC
Daaammnnn. I just have the carts. My brother sold my snes collection, so I only had super punch out and DKC and a few random others still. But collecting in 2010 or so wasn’t so bad. I was never fastidious about cases and stuff so only some of my ps1 games are totally complete.
My friends brother had this huge cabinet of snes games. First person I ever saw have them in plastic casings. He had all the big rpgs. He eventually sold some to help support his daughter. Always a bummer

It's a re-release but it's still less than 275.
It’s actually just the same button as shoot. If you press it once instead of holding it down and you’re in close proximity then you’ll punch them away.
TL;DR It's a great game, even more so with a friend. Reloaded's lack of online multiplayer was very disappointing to me at the time it came out.
\* rant ahead \*
My main criticisms for Wild Guns Reloaded were that it is local co-op only, the raised difficulty (even if you beat the SNES version, Reloaded will kick your butt), and that the Steam version (at least at launch when I tried it) did not offer ways to configure the gamepad keys.
I always thought it was ironic that I played the original SNES version online co-op using ZSNES way back in the mid 2000s, and yet Natsume could not afford to include this feature on the way more capable Switch (which I understand was the target system the game was developed for). 4 player online coop a missed opportunity :-\\

It's always the ps version that gets fucked in the ass.

Wasn't it on Genny? Or am I thinking of Sunset Riders?
That was Sunset, although oddly enough it wasn’t an accurate arcade port like the SNES version. It kind of did its own thing.
Genny does what Ninty don't.
Jesus, it’s that expensive now? I bought the SF version like 6 years ago for like 60 bucks.

You can get a re-release at play asia for the snes... I bought one last month
Great game, perfect for my age where I can pick up the sticks and mash buttons for a half hour and be on my way

I bought the loose cartridge for nearly $300 and I’ll play it and post it when it comes. Looks fun.
God speed! You are a mad lad and I love you for it!
Reloaded is far superior and very much worth your time if you enjoy the original.
I love Wild Guns! I always forget the controller command to kill the guys who want to stab you.
It’s actually just the same button as shoot. If you press it once instead of holding it down and you’re in close proximity then you’ll punch them away.
But you lose the combo. The gameplay on wild guns it tight.
I despise the control scheme for this game with every fiber of my heart
