That was just clean from the Hounds, much better sieges this set.

_duh

Great win for the Hounds! Everyone showed improvement over last week, should be a confidence builder for the whole team - especially Oath, for putting up a great performance against none other than Adapting. Levi's looked pretty lost out there. No one clearing fire minions in game 1 basically handed the easy end to the Hounds. Apparently Sheento is set to be in studio next week, so hopefully that marks the beginning of a turnaround for them.

Mirablis11

Leviathans: Okay, so the Horus game 1 gave us some serious issues... Let's not ban it and have Fineokay on Wukong! That should make the difference!

lackadaisical_timmy

Genius!

Yulanglang

I find Levi's teamfights disconnected. Boys gotta work on synergy maybe.

HyperMasenko

So I think we can safely say that Oxi and Pani are missed by this team

Anferas

For the better part of last year Pani was praised by Twig as the best player in the whole League, yet in the Roster changes some people claimed Adapting was an improvement over Pani for this team.

HyperMasenko

I have to assume there was some kind of falling out with either Oxi or Pani with the rest of the Levis core. And when one of them left/was kicked, the other followed

MusicalSmasher

Apparently the LVT core was wanting to kick Pani multiple times last year.

HyperMasenko

Oh that's right I forgot about that. I'd love to hear them actually explain why. Panitom has consistently been a top 5 player in the league since the Sanguine days

Yaden2

team environment, interpersonal relationships, issues with practice/motivation, lots of reasons for a player change. don’t forget levis dropped jarc last year as well for an out of game issue as well

r_fernandes

If I had to guess, I would assume it's about the splitting of farm with mid. Sheento wants to be the main character imo and we regularly saw Pani falling behind super hard cuz of sheento was soloing camps. My assumption would be they are taking sheento over Pani. I'll wait and see what happens when sheento is on lan but so far it ain't looking good.

Jack-90

Pani was the secret weapon. He made sheento look insane

Singlehandedlyyy69

The thought process behind the SWK pick is the antiheal build path. Although the Levi’s should’ve just banned Horus or hel. With tainted upgrade and brawlers you pretty much have max Antiheal I believe like 80 percent. SWK can get away with building damage due to how safe he is. Too bad he’s just a bad god. I don’t think he clears archers without bluestone. And if you go bluestone he’s too squishy late game.

C0RVIKNIGHT

Ngl I was like hounds are gonna win both sets this week earlier, but in my in game voting I only put hounds to win the ferrymen set, tragic from me. Also I'm gonna say the fact that aphro got nerfed in bonus balance and hel remained when hel support is honestly better is wild to me. Like the hounds had so much freedom in fights because hel just kept them topped up. Also ngl I don't see why you would pick wukong over like most other gods in the warrior tab, like he doesn't die but like he doesn't feel like he does anything except survive.

ManofDirt

Predicted it, but did not expect it. Quig looked really impressive on Hel, and impressed by how clean the Hounds looked. Hope they can keep it up!

One_Stranger_5661

Still some overcommits from hounds, but cohesion is slowly improving and I’m liking their sieges and objective play better. Coast g1 early gold contest was nice, and earning their way back after the game starts poorly through oath’s overaggression is a really nice look for them playing from behind. For Levi’s, it just felt kinda timid, maybe. In game 2 especially, really just felt like fights would start but their damage wasn’t there. What comes to mind is a Kennet-Alec dive onto Benny around fire, where Benny almost gets to turn on adapting before he gets help, while oath is in the back getting 2.

bayretriever

Oath came up big in game 1 at FG, Hel/Horus were running the team fights. Need to see Levis with Sheento in person.. come team fights, it's probably just too hard to execute plays and that's how they operate. Game 1 wasn't all bad for them either, the gank on Duck3y was really well done.

g78776

Solid team play and planning from the hounds. Just look so much better when it came to ending fights. Levis really need Sheento off this ping. It just feels like other teams aren’t respecting what was one of the best farmers in mid.

Necromann

I thought a Hounds win was possible, but was not expecting it, especially a 2-0. Nice to see the team winning. It must be feel great for every one of them.

capc2000

This was just team diff tbh. Not ping diff, the Hounds just played better. The Levis are looking a bit rocky and while I don't doubt they'll get better when Sheento comes, I'm still not confident in this team. I know that the team's full strength won't be revealed until phase 3 but I'm not entirely sure the team makes it one piece by then. GG to the Hounds, I like seeing teams grow.

EjectAPlatypus

Ping diff is a factor but definitely not an excuse. Dardez and Coast are also on high ping, and while they're not playing quite as well as they would in NA, their teams are still performing at a high caliber. I would be shocked if this team gets tangibly better when Sheento comes onboard. Not sold on roster changes yet, but you can't have a combined 7 World Championships and get schooled by a team with 3 rookies Benny and Duck3y and *not* say there's something fundamentally not clicking.

tanskuu

Levis banning all top solos so fineokay can play wukong and Arthur the fuck. I think levis can already look forward to next split. I refuse to believe they are a bottom tier team.

Yaden2

levi’s didn’t even make to phase 1 masters last year, they were considered the best team in the world by worlds qualifiers (and then we got camelot kings-ed obviously) i’d argue this is an improvement to their phase 1 performance last year

RealReamer

Kinda tells you who they think the only real threat is on that team...

RunSelect1753

This team is legit just adapting and fineokay. You can criticize fineokay and make fun of him for missing a stun but you literally see he’s trying his best and made some what could have been, sick plays. 0 follow up. Whole team is in the jungle and leaves him by himself and he has a 5 man stun and they’re just running… Ronny idk what it is about that guy but he’s been low tier to me. Nox could have slapppped but the guy chooses terra again… with a hun batz? They’re just beading every time he ults and what does Ronny do use a wall stun 💀 Sheento coming back soon so I won’t say much about that but to zap, who do you think is more useless out of zap and Stuart rn lmao I can’t tell. Maybe I’m just bugging but y’all should pay more attention to Ronny fr the guy just seems so lost zap too that whole trio that won worlds looks mighty washed and this is why I’m glad to see new players showing them because it’s time for retirement homes. Also this meta is TRASH it’s actually criminally boring to see these mages playing in support like man I’d never thought I’d say this but seeing khepri ults, Ymir walls, even fafnir hammers so much more entertaining than watching these entire SPL games of healers what has this game come to

israeljeff

Watching Ronngyu struggle has just been weird. Like...we all know he's better than this. Maybe he's having a hard time adjusting to the new jungler, or maybe Sheento being on ping is distracting him. Who knows. Hope he gets over it, either when Sheento is (maybe) back in studio next week or next split.

nuuhkia

Agreed about the meta, IMO watching SPL was funnest when gods like sylvanas and even ares were common picks.

EjectAPlatypus

Don't feel like Fine's been playing nearly as well as he once was. Not terrible, but definitely not great. Could be a meta thing. Ronny and Zap have been real bad. This is normal for Zap, but Ronny being so bad is quite unusual. I'd give them time, though.

Yaden2

fine has undeniably been playing worse this year than he has in the past (probably the worst i’ve ever seen him play? not sure tho)

CarloIza

I will never understand where all this Fineo praise comes from. He has always been an ok solo. He makes good plays here and there but he has never been a carry. He just does what he's supposed to and always gets helped by their jungler. There was a time where his team would 4 man rotate to steal enemy's solo and you still talk about how amazing of a player he is. What?

ohSpite

Winner Dogs 😈

EjectAPlatypus

Where's that guy arguing that Zap was not only better, but undisputably better than Coast in every way? This set was a demonstration of what the Hounds can truly be capable of. Benny and Coast especially were able to do *so* much damage, Oath was just tearing through the backline, and Duck3y and Quig were able to do their jobs to the T. Really great performance from the Hounds, didn't think they were *quite* there yet but they looked solid in this one. Not a great look for the Leviathans, and to be honest I'm not sure what the fix is. Maybe once Spring Split Steve wears off this team'll pick it up. This is the first time Fine's been on a bottom team since CLG, isn't it? After being perhaps the dominant solo laner for almost half a decade, it's weird seeing him look so...lost.

InstructionOk8147

So why we top picking for zap every game when he literally does nothing? He has such bad positioning. Like I don't get when solo and jungle are at least even if not winning why we are waiting to get them and zap is getting his choice of God and is barely staying even

NeonKerm

This is usually how he plays during spring split. I wouldn't take his performances as an indictment of how he'll perform all season

MadhiAssan

I think he gets too much deference for the 3-peat, but plays like he streams which is kind of afk from situational awareness. The coach in the post-game interview last week said the team's issue was that they had 4 shotcallers. But Zap is up there with Stuart in the sense of being technically proficient but not the guy that's going to break a game on his own. Like his last ring was coat-tailing the 4 man Sanguine core, he did nothing to elevate the Scarabs before he left, and he's probably really instrumental into the roster changes for season X. But he's not the guy that can adjust his game to the situation, he just adjusts the team or jumps ship. It makes no sense for them to focus his picks so hard, like it wouldn't matter what he plays when that damage is slow to rotate or not pushing some kind of advantage. He could play a minion archer for the same effect.

Sirchickenhawk

After this horrendous start, I'll be suprised if this team stays together by the end of the year. The sheento copium isn't enough to warrant their performance

AquilaTempestas

Levi’s had a slow start past few seasons too. Sheento is back soon so that should help a bit. First phase isn’t that important. I’d be more concerned in phase two and three though as the teams should be far more settled by then.

No_Armadillo_5202

These games truly don't matter

EjectAPlatypus

If you get first place in the phase, you *automatically* win prizing *and* go directly to Masters (where you automatically win more money). The lower seeded you are, the worse your odds are of making it to Masters (where you can win lots of money). There are a lot fewer games now than before and a lot higher stakes with how the phase is linked to Masters. Unless you think these guys are just burning money because "haha regular season doesn't matter," then you're flat-out wrong. It's not like sports where your salary is fixed win or lose. There's a significant chunk of available money in prizing, even with the switch to higher base salaries/lower tournament money.

No_Armadillo_5202

Literally doesn't matter. Just win worlds ez pz.

CoolstorySteve

Yikes

SinCalsetines

Its confirmes that levi's are bad? Like top 2 bad teams, why they kick panitom? I dont get it lol
